I´m pleased it satisfied you, Malu. I know many would like for me to continue this series but it would take me a long while to take them to where I want them to be.

Hopefully, I´ll finish some fic/fics during the holidays. So keep tuned.

Glad you´ve enjoyed it. In order to appreciate all its nuances,though, I suggest you have a look at the two prequels that complete these trilogy- From Afar and Mirror. You´ll find the links in my first post.

That's sad! But that would most defiantly be a better twist then what Smallville had.

I have to disagree with an earlier commenter...I don't think Lex would be taking advantage of Chloe's vulnerability and manipulating her... I agree there are many parallels and similarities between them. They *should* lean on eachother.

And get away from the sanctimonious hypocrites who don't appreciate them. And find their happy ending together. I felt that way when I first watched Smallville's early seasons, and it's even more true now. Good job showing the understanding Chloe and Lex could only find in one another. And the way you wrote the funeral scene...you remind me why Chlollie is not very plausible...or ideal. (And needless to say, Chlark too, since he's so not worthy of her anymore). Chlex forever, baby!

I'd have certainly preferred a sadder kind of ending but infinitely more satisfying than the mess they made with what they had. What a waste!

You're a girl after my heart. Chloe is undoubtedly flawed and yet, I don't think any of the guys left on the show deserve her. As I said in Mirror, I believe that one of the reasons she's been so hard on Lex in the last seasons is because she unconsciously sees her own greyness and her own weaknesses reflected in him.

There are no substitutes for Lex in my heart.

Finally, they meet again. Even if Lex is still weak and struggling, he finds the strength to catch Chloe as she falls down and I love how this action mirrors what he intends to do with his relationship with her.

I like how the ending leaves it to the reader to decide if they get a happy ending or not but you know me, sucker for happy endings and Chlex offspring (even if technically, the child is Jimmy's in this case)
