Great update. Chloe's back in the game but she's going to do it the hard way of course. I don't know how great its going to be for the guy that she's going to using to make Lex work for what he wants but I'm sure she will get the desired effect.

Chapter 16

“I like to blue one better.” Lois commented. “It accentuates your boobs.”

“Does it?” Chloe asked as she turned in the mirror this way and that. She gently squeezed her chest. “It does.”

Lois smiled. “So. Why did you agree to interview Lex again?”

Chloe smirked at her cousin in the mirror. “Because he asked. I am a professional you know.”

Lois raised an eyebrow. “Uh huh.” she said softly. “What’s the real reason?”

“That is the real reason.” She said with a small shrug. “Although he did ask me out to dinner first and I rejected him again.” She shook her head. “Then he offered to grant me an interview.”

“Ha.” Lois laughed. “How original.” She said wryly. “And tricky.”

Chloe nodded in agreement. “Yeah. He knows I won’t turn down an interview. I‘m pretty sure this is just a ploy of his to get me alone.” She held up a blue dress. “What about this?”

Lois choked out a small laugh. “You’re not seriously considering buying that are you? You may as well where a ball gown.”

Chloe looked down at the dress in her hands with a small smile. “I like it.”

Lois reached over and snatched the dress from her hands. “No. You don’t.” She said. She searched through the racks and grinned. “Here we go.” She said, pulling out a small black dress.

Chloe held the dress up to her body, silently wondering how she was going to slide into such a thing. “This is so--Metropolis.”

Lois grinned. “Isn’t it? I think you’re going to give Lex a heart attack.”

“Mr. Luthor, your five o’ clock is here.”

Lex leaned over and pressed the call button. “Send her-” he trailed off in shock as Chloe made her way into his office.

She had on a little black dress that clung deliciously to the curves on her body. Her hair was up in a sleek ponytail. The four inch heels she wore made her appear taller than she was. She was more beautiful than usual. Sexy and it took every once of self control to stop himself from growing hard.

“Chloe.” He greeted, standing up from behind his desk. “You look- nice.”

“Lex.” Chloe greeted with a smile. She sat down in front of him and crossed her legs. “Thank you.” She reached into her bag and pulled out a pen and a pad. “Shall we get started?”

He nodded and his eyes strayed toward her very prominent chest. “Of course. Would you like anything to drink before we begin?”

She shook her head. “No. Thank you.” She leaned forward in her seat. “So. Tell me about Luthorcorp’s newly purchased research facility.”

Lex, wanting to keep this as business as possible, did as he was told. He spoke about change and growth. About profit and a bunch of other stuff that on any other day he couldn’t recite. He didn’t rightly now or care what he was saying. He was too busy working his mind around how beautiful she looked. Not that she didn’t always look that way, but that dress was too much for words.

Chloe dutifully wrote down everything he said. Interjecting with a question here and there.

Lex answered every question, waiting for the precise moment to ask what he’d been waiting to ask.

“Okay.” Chloe said finally looking up from her pad. “I think that’s all.” She smiled.

“Alright.” Lex said with a small smile. He leaned forward. “Chloe. Go out with me to dinner.”

Chloe didn’t look surprise at the sudden question. She only stood up. “I’m sorry.” She said very softly. “But I already have a date.” She glanced at he watch. “Which I’m going to be late for if I don’t hurry.”

He felt the surprise show on his face, but he quickly covered it up. “Oh.” He said softly. “With whom?”

She waved her hand. “Oh nobody.” She reached for her bag. “Thanks for the interview.”

“You’re welcome.” He said blandly. He walked her to the door to see her out, anger and jealously flaring inside as he thought of the other man seeing her this way. “I’ll see you around Chloe.” He called as she made her way through the lobby.

“I don’t think I can have another glass of wine.” Chloe murmured with a smile.

Her date smiled. “You look like you can.” He said with a small laugh.

She leaned forward in her seat. She was actually enjoying herself. Andrew was one of the researchers at the inquisitor and he was everything Lois said he would be. intelligent, handsome, funny, and not looking for a serious relationship.

“So tell me about yourself Chloe.” Andrew said softly. “I got a little bit from your cousin Lois.”

“Oh god,” Chloe uttered. “What did she say about me?”

He smiled as he took a sip of his wine before answering. “She said you were wonderful.”

“Hmm.” She said with a small nod. “Then she’s right.”

They both laughed and Chloe picked up her glass of wine. She casually glanced over Andrew’s shoulder and nearly choked on her wine as she watched a waiter escort Lex to the table in front of she and Andrew’s. She coughed and placed her glass down.

“Are you alright?” Andrew asked concerned. “Here let me get you a glass of water.” He raised his hand. “Waiter?”

Her eyes widened as Lex glanced up from his menu and smiled at her before glancing back down at his menu. “I’m okay.” She said, reaching for a glass again. “Just went down the wrong pipe.”

“Are you sure?”

She nodded and her eyes strayed to Andrews. She smiled. “Tell me about yourself.”

“Well..” He started and she listened as he droned on why he chose the career he did. She found it hard to concentrate on him, but she did. She applauded herself on how her eyes didn’t stray to Lex’s once, even though she could feel his eyes practically burning a hole through her.

“Now that you know everything about me.” Andrew said with a smile. “How about you tell me why you’re so wonderful.” He reached over and placed his hand on top of hers.

Chloe heard the distinct sound of a glass shattering and she glanced over his shoulder surprised to see Lex, holding a broken wine glass.

“Hey,” Andrew said surprised. “Isn’t that Lex-”

“Excuse me.” Chloe interrupted. She quickly stood up and made her way toward the ladies room.

She stared at her image in the mirror. Goodness she was flushed. Her hands were shaking. It was great.

She glanced up as the door opened and was unsurprised as Lex made his way inside. She watched as he locked the door behind him and she felt a sudden feeling of being trapped.

They stared at each the silently. The atmosphere between the two of them sparking with intensity.

“It seemed you were having a very simulating conversation.” He stated with obvious sarcasm.

“It was.” She said softly. “Researching can be very stimulating.” She walked toward him so that she was standing in front of him. “Andrew can be very stimulating.”

His eyes slid up and down her body before he replied. “You’re bored to tears.”

“Hmm.” She said.

He stared at her with a blank expression. “Will you see him again?”

“Maybe.” She answered. “Or maybe I’ll just go out with one of the other men I’ve got lined up.”

A dangerous looked crossed his face. He stepped even closet, so that his chest was flush up against his own. “Have dinner with me.”

She laughed. “I already ate.” She went to move around d him, but he grabbed her arm.

“You look really good.”

“I know.” She said.

They were both quiet again and Chloe could feel her heart pounding loudly in her chest. He looked good too. Hell, he always looked good, especially dressed now in a dark gray suit and lavender shirt and tie, a color she hadn’t seen on him in years.

That combined with the cologne he was wearing had her weak in the knees.

But still, she kept her face blank. “Do you think you could let my arm go?” She asked carefully.

Lex blinked and released her arm.

“Thank you.” She said and went to move around him, but he grabbed her again.

“What are you-”

She was cut off by his lips against her own.

She immediately melted into the kiss, a moment of weakness for her. She wrapped her arms around his neck and moaned as his tongue pushed against her own. She slipped her own tongue against his own. Her stomach fluttered. Her heart pounded. She could here the blood rushing in her ears. They both fought for control of the kiss, and Lex cheated by sliding his hands down her back and toward her butt.

She pulled away with a gasp. “Uh uh uh.” She whispered against his lips.

Lex stared at her with a dazed expression. She blinked and smiled up at him. “I’m going back to my date.” She said softly. She moved around him and toward the door. “Enjoy your dinner.” She called over her shoulder.

“Delivery for Chloe Sullivan.”

Chloe glanced up from her computer to the delivery man, who was standing with a vase of wild flowers in his hand. She sighed and reached for her purse. She grabbed twenty bucks and placed them in the delivery guy’s hand. “Return to sender.” She said.

The man pocketed the money. “You’re the boss.” He said softly.

A half hour later her phone rang and she picked it up. “You owe me twenty bucks.”

“Is there a reason why you didn’t enjoy my flowers?”

She grinned at the annoyance in his voice. “You figure it out.” She said and hung up on him.

Her grin widened as her cell phone rang this time. She knew it was him calling her back.

“This is fun.” She whispered to herself.

“Thanks for hanging out with me today Chlo. It feels as though I haven’t seen you in forever.”

Chloe nodded as she took the grocery bags Clark handed her. “I’ve been way busy.”

Clark closed the door behind him and paused in surprise at the arrangement of flowers in her apartment. “Uh Chloe? What are all of these flowers doing here?”

She waved her hand in dismissal. “Don’t worry. Someone will be by to pick them up soon.” She stepped over a vase of roses.

“Yeah,” He stepped over a fern plant. “Are these suppose to be for you?” He picked up a card that read:

I only sent these to annoy you. -L-

“Who are they from?”

She placed the eggs into the refrigerator. “Lex.” She answered simply.

Clark gave her a startled look. “Lex?” He asked. “Why?”

She shrugged. “Because he’s in love with me. Or claims to be. I’m not sure yet.”

Clark’s mouth fell open in shock. “What?” He asked. “How?”

She closed the refrigerator. “Well we’ve been having a dirty torrid affair for the past year and a half. Hey do you want a cheeseburger?”

Clark stared at her wide eyed.

You are so horrible. That was such a tease of a chapter. I loved Lex trying to court Chloe and Chloe slamming the door on him everythime. Purely evil lol. Can't wait for the next update.

She had to know that Lex was going to follow her to the restaurant especially when she showed up to his office dressed like that. She is definitely setting out to torture him which I approve of because he deserves it. It's fun to see this game of chase between them. I hope Chloe ignores Clark if he's going to give her some stupid lecture, but if he for some odd reason favors Lex trying to prove himself to Chloe, then perhaps he can help. I love the bathroom scene, Chloe definitely had the upperhand. eager to see if Lex will prove his love for her.

That bathroom scene was perfection. I was like getting a knot in my ...errr...stomach just reading it. Fics like that are wonderfully orgasmic and great to read. Now, I really want to see how Clark reacts to the torrid affair comment. Just add some green K to th conversation. Either that of Lex shows up with the dude to pick up the flowers. Wow, now my mind has run away to bad bad places thanks to this. More please.
