Awww Lex wanted to have some special time with Chloe so he decided on a road trip, that is so sweet! But he forgot the cardinal rule of a road trip is that you are supposed to keep it fun or else people end up complaining about how someone else is on their side of the seat. He should have talked to her.

And I think Lex really liked the idea of Chloe being his wife and was upset when she denied being his wife. Does he think that Chloe doesn't want to marry so that's why he's marrying Lana, because he needs a wife?
Or is it because of his nightmares and he didn't want to burden Chloe with it and knew that Lana wouldn't care because they probably don't and won't be sleeping in the same bed?

awesome update!!! and a two in one deal! i loved the fact that chloe comforted lex. and i absolutely adored the idea that lex was so disturbed by what happened to him on dark thursday, it makes him more human. great update as always!!!
It`s so sweet that Lex wants to spend as much time as possible with Chloe, so he decided to drive all those hours

It`s was such a deep and emotional moment when Lex shared with Chloe all his bad memories and nightmares... I loved it
And loved how she talked about her onw possession experience and then slid into bed next to him.

Wonderful update, and the Chlex truck smut was gorgeous!
Chloe's throwing Lex's phone out the window was great, and Lex's reaction to Chloe's denying being his wife cracked me up. And good for Chloe for comforting Lex after his nightmare/memory.
But I have to admit to freaking out when I read that Lex was going to drive to Mexico. Even at almost 35 years of age, I am still prone to motion sickness, so the thought of 22 hours driving in a car is just stomach turning.
Even if it is Lex Luthor driving
I just hope that either one of them just breaks down and confesses their true feelings, or this will be the roadtrip/vacation from hell.
Please let us know what happens soon, and continued excellent work on this fic.

It serves Lex right that Chloe seems to find the idea of being his wife so "absurd" but I loved that he shared his feelings about Zod with her. Will we have Lex's POV in the next chapter?
