Summary: Chloe has suffered another head injury that changes her forever. She is reborn a new woman after lying in a coma for months. She no longer confines her self to the role of the nice girl and best friend. Think of the episode Rush without the Chlark and in its place Chlex.
Prologue
Chloe was leaving the Kent farm after spending the evening with Clark. She had done her best to console him about losing Alicia. She was trying to be a good friend in his time of need.
She was getting used to the idea that her friend was alien and had superpowers. She really wanted to tell him that she knew but now wasn’t the time. It infuriated her that he never felt like she could handle the secret after how long they have known each other but she pushed back those feelings and tried to be an understanding friend.
She was driving home faster then normal. There were several articles for the Torch still not finished, math homework that still need to be done, and she really wanted to get home to watch one of her favorite shows on the WB.
She hit the gas in her red beetle and sped up when she glanced at her watch and read that it was 7:59. She reached to turn the radio on and glanced down to set the station.
When her focus was back on the road something flew out of the crops on the left side of her. She slammed down on the breaks and they didn’t work. The roads were slick and her car started to swerve out of control. What ever went past her was gone now.
Chloe tried grabbing at the wheel to get the car under control but she hand no breaks and no power over the steering wheel. She didn’t know who, how, or when but someone tampered with her car. Someone wanted Chloe to crash that night.
The car started heading toward a near by electrical pole. Chloe was powerless to stop the car and hundreds of thoughts ran through her mind. Should she try and jump out before the car hit the pole full speed ahead? Should she try to take the impact and hope her seatbelt held in place and the airbags worked?
Time had run out quickly and Chloe couldn’t make a decision. She was frozen in place as she hurled toward the pole. She couldn’t function she just screamed out just inches away from the electrical pole. She screamed and realized she could die and would never fulfill any of her true desires in life.
The car had slowed some but it was not enough to soften the strength which she hit the pole. Chloe’s car slammed in to the pole and it jerked forward pushing her from her seat.
There was no airbag someone had taken care of that too and for some reason her seat belt couldn’t hold her weight at the force she hit the pole and she was flung out the window of the car.
She screamed and tried to shield her self as she went through the glass. The top of her head hit the pole and then she slammed down on the roof of the car.
The culprit peeked their head out of the corn field and saw her lying limp on the car roof, they smiled, and then ran away in to the night.
Clark flashed in on the scene seconds after the culprit ran off in to the night. He heard Chloe screaming with his super hearing. He lifted Chloe and sped away to Smallville hospital.
Chapter 1 Awaking
Chloe didn’t know it but she had suffered so many head injuries the doctors were shocked she made it out of this one.
They claimed she suffered some brain damage and didn’t know what the out come would be. They had no clue if she would wake up and if she did would she still be the same person she was before the accident.
Her father was by her side. He had to start going back to work again the last week but he slept in the hospital so he could be there if she woke up in the middle of the night.
Clark stopped by once everyday she was in the coma. He and Gabe played cards, talked about the Sharks, or Clark tried to reassure Gabe that if anyone was strong enough to get through something like this it would be Chloe.
Lana stopped by from time to time too but she was to busy trying to get her new boyfriend Jason to fuck her. It was more important then her so called friend in a coma. Even people from Chloe’s classes showed up more then Lana did.
She was in the coma for two months and on the on first day at the start of the third month she woke up.
It was an odd day to wake up. The person at the side of her bed wasn’t one of her regular visitors.
It was early in the morning and her father had already left for work, so it wasn’t him and Clark was probably sound a sleep at this hour.
Chloe felt someone grasping her hand. People held her hand all the time but she didn’t feel any of them expect this one. Then another hand brushed across her check.
She tried to open her eyes but the light was too bright and she had to close them then tried again slowly.
When she finally had them open she focused on Lex standing there with his eyes closed looking like he was holding back tears. She pulled her hand away from him and he jerked back when he realized she was awake.
“Chloe you’re awake!” he yelled and took a few more steps away from her.
“I was in a car crash Lex. I didn’t lose my hearing you don’t have to yell at me.” Chloe woke up irritated. She had no idea why but things started too spring up in her mind she normally pushed back the minute she regain consciousness.
"I’ll get the doctor.” He ran out the room and Chloe tried getting out of the bed.
She remembered that she was driving home from Clark’s and she ran into a pole. She assumed she had hit her head again and was out for a few hours.
She wanted out of the hospital. Her better judgment said to wait for the doctor but something in her was telling to leave and leave now.
She tried to walk out of the room but couldn’t get to far away since she was attached to all those damn hospital wires. She yanked them out and walked out the room.
Lex was back with the doctor “Miss Sullivan please you should be in bed you have been in a coma for months.” The doctor tried to nudge her back into the bed.
Chloe allowed him after what he said. She sat on the bed and then had and out burst when she realized she wasn’t just out a few hours she had been unconscious for months “What the fuck! I have been in a fucking coma.”
Lex was standing in the doorway and his eyes shifted up in surprise at what she said.
Chloe looked at him a sneered “Don’t look like you have never heard the word fuck before.” She looked away from him and tried to process what was happening.
Lex approached her and spoke to her completely in control like he didn’t look so pain to see her in a coma a few moments ago. “Chloe I’ll call your father. He will want to know that you are all right” He left the room and didn’t come back.
The doctors poked at her for hours. They took scans, and ran test, after test. Chloe was getting frustrated she felt fine she wanted to go home. The entire time she was so irritably and she didn’t know why.
While they waited for the test results her father filled her in on what happened. Apparently the police inspected her car and saw that it had been tamper with. This just fueled Chloe’s are already raging temper.
They released her that night after they were satisfied with their results.
Gabe was so overjoyed to have his daughter back. He took her home, and told her he would head out to get her favorite food, he swore up and down that he wouldn’t be gone long, and told her not to even think about school. He kissed her on the forehead and gave her a long hug told her he loved her and headed out.
Chloe took her time getting used to being home. She was glad her dad left her alone for a few minutes she needed to get her emotion in check. She had no desire to call anyone to tell them she was awake. As a first step to settling into life she took a shower.
Chloe was in the shower looking at her self as she rubbed the soap over her body. She washed her hair and felt a bump on her head. She rinsed off turned off the water and stepped out. She caught a glimpse of her self in the mirror.
She examined her body. She played with her wet hair and stop when she felt a bump again. It must be were she hit her head she assumed. Her face wasn’t bruised and she assumed that the cuts they said she had on her face from going through windshield healed while she was sound a sleep in the hospital.
She rubbed her hands over her breast and clutched at them feeling how firm they were. Then she moved her hands across her stomach and down her curvy hips. She felt really sexy and she never felt like that. She let her hands explore her self between her legs
