Chapter 1 (Lex POV)

“Chloe do want a drink?” Lex said standing at the bar on the Luthor Corp jet. They were heading back to Smallville. Lex had never been happier when his sources told him Chloe was alive in a hospital in Yukon, Canada.
He didn't know how she got there nor did he care anymore. He just wanted to make sure she was safe.
He flew to get her immediately. He had to make sure she was ok. His guilt for bringing her to caves was so overwhelming he didn’t believe he could go on with life if she died because of him.

When he found her he was going to finally make her an invitation into his life. She seemed to want him to but he pushed her away to afraid to rely on emotions as his guide. He could no longer suppress his feelings. He loved her and he was going to make sure she knew and hoped he would get what he wanted, her loving him back.
“Yes could I have something warm please? I don’t do scotch like you.” Chloe replied to Lex walking over to him at the bar. “Lex thank you for coming to get me. I wish I could explain to you what happen to me in the caves but…”
Lex interrupted her “Chloe stop. There is no need to thank me or explain. I had to find you. If it weren’t for me you wouldn’t have been there in danger in the first place. I am sorry for putting you in that position again.”
“Lex you were acting on instinct when you saw me in the study. I would have thought the same thing you had if I saw you in the same place you found me. Just let me thank you”
