Prologue: I wish I had been there to see her the first time in it---but I wasn't. Maybe now---

Chloe' Bedroom
I stand by the door to her bedroom, watching her put some books and various other sundry things into a box. She looks up and smiles at me and then moves back to the task at hand.
"How much longer do I have?"
"Take all the time in the world---we're not leaving until Sunday night."
"Good---might take a while to get through the closet."
"Closet? I never took you as a clothes horse."
She sighs, looking up again. "Yes, Luthor, I love clothes but at least none of them are pink. Well, except that old prom dress of mine. I'll give it to Lana."
I walk in, moving onto the bed and leaning over, helping her close the box. Our hands touch and I feel that tingle again. Then I back away, to watch her tape it up.
I close my eyes and start to remember how this happened---how we got to where we are at this very moment.

Two Years Earlier - The Talon
"Lana---coffee---now!"
I look up from my paper and watch her nervousness---or is that withdrawal from needing her caffeine fix.
"Chloe, I'm hurrying as fast as I can."
"You need help, Lana."
"You want to come help, Chloe?"
"No---I drink---I don't serve. Speaking of which---where's my coffee?!?"
"You want it---you go get it. I'm not serving you today---I'm too busy with the other customers."
"Oh really? I know the owner you know."
"Hey, sweet cheeks, how about I let you share my coffee?"
I watch her turn to the person standing beside her. She gives him a smirk and then turns away.
"Hey, I asked you a question."
She turns again. "You did? I thought that was an offer I could refuse, Jeremy."
He grabs her arm and she glares at him now.
"Let go!" she growls.
He grips her tighter and she's boiling mad. I better get up there to defuse the situation, or Lana might be spending all night cleaning up and Clark and she had a date tonight.
I get up and walk towards them.
"The lady said to let go."
He turns to me. "I know you---you're the rich kid who thinks he can have anything he wants---or can tell people what to do."
"Wow---he reads more than the Funny's, Lex," she quips.
I have to smile slightly at that and then my attention is back on him.
"Actually, I've asked her out and she's always said no. So, no, I don't get everything I want. However---"
I forcefully pull his hand off her arm and then he pushes me.
"Oh, you shouldn't have done that. I might be the hazel fury but he's known as the cold winter storm. You better run, if you value your life."
He stares at her and then me. And I say:
"Boo!"
Which gets him startled at first. Then I start moving towards him, my most evil look on my face. He looks at her again and then back at me.
"You two are crazy---I'm leaving."
"Good!" I state.
"And don't come back!" she adds, just before he leaves the Talon.
I turn back to see her starting to laugh and I join in, with a chuckle.
"Well, I hope you two are happy. He left without paying. And he brings the jocks into this place."
We turn to look at Lana. "He attacked her," I state.
"And she could have taken care of herself without losing a paying customer or his gang," Lana replies.
I turn to Chloe. "Could you have, without losing the customer?"
She shrugs. "Maybe but somehow I don't think my next course of action would have endeared me to him or the place."
I raise my eyebrow in question.
"Dumping coffee down the front of his pants."
I snort at that and laugh. She joins in again, leaning against me for support.
As we slowly return to sanity, we see that Lana has gone---probably in a huff. Then I look into her hazel eyes and she smiles.
"I'll go out with you now."
"Why?"
"Cause you deserve a reward for helping me."
"A kiss would suffice."
"So, you don't want to go out anymore?"
"Not sure if I want to go out with somebody who would dump coffee on me, if I did something wrong."
"Oh, honey, I wouldn't dump coffee on you---if anything, it would be champagne---and then I'd lick it off you."
My eyes widen at her sexual innuendo and then I smile, before leaning down to whisper, "Dom okay?"
I back away, seeing an equal smile, before she leans up, whispering, "Let's get out of here and just see, Sexy."

Back To The Present
"Lex? Lex!"
I snap out of my thoughts with, "What?"
She laughs. "I hope you were thinking about me and not Lana."
I shake my head. "Chloe, I never think about another man's wife---especially when I've got the best myself."
"Awwwww---that's so corny."
"Corny? I thought it was a nice sentiment myself."
"It was a wonderful thought, Lex."
"Thank you but I still feel slighted."
She lets out a sigh. "I know where this is going---on the bed, on the computer table---the floor---the shower?"
"How about the closet?"
"The closet? There's no room."
"Not that---I mean, let me help you with the closet."
"You want me to have you help me take out my clothes. Why?"
"Well, I have heard there's something really interesting in there."
"Oh, from----Oh my God! Clark told you about that. Oooooo, I am so going to get back at him---mark my words."
"Chloe, calm down. He only mentioned the outfit---nothing else."
"You sure?"
"I was there---he just said you looked cute in it---and then Lana hit him on the arm."
She chuckles at that. "Serves him right."
"Maybe but now you have to show it to me, since I was slighted."
"Do I have to wear it?"
"Depends."
"On what?"
"If it's in a good shape or if it looks really sexy."
She sighs. "Okay---let's go find the offending item and then, if I do wear it for you, well, it'll be the last time I do."
I rub my hands in triumph and go into the closet with her, searching for her cheerleader’s uniform.

The Item In Question
"Wow---you really don't like pink, do you?" I ask her.
"No---black is preferable."
"You do look sexy in black," I quip.
She looks at me, smiling. "Not as sexy as you do, Lexy."
"Hey, hey, you know I don't like that name."
"Yeah, I'm sorry---forgive me. I couldn't help myself."
"I will."
We go back to searching, a lot of her clothes thrown onto the bed to be packed away later to go to the mansion---or to charity. Then:
"Found it!" she states, triumphantly.
I look at what's hanging on the hanger and smirk.
"What?" she asks.
"You wore that?"
"I was under the influence."
"Good because I would have lost all respect for you if you weren't."
"Thanks---I think. So----"
"Well, I don't think we want you wearing that in public or private anymore. I know I can be forceful but fighting off the droves of men---I'm not that forceful. And in private---I'd never let you out of the bed---and you do need to see the outdoors for your job."
She drops the hanger and launches herself into my arms. I laugh as we fall back onto some clothes littering the floor.
"I love you," she states, before kissing me on the lips.
'What's not to love,' I think before I lose all track of thought except for one thing---making love to my wife on her prom dress.

A Few Hours Later
"I guess Lana's not going to get this dress now."
"Guess not," I state, throwing it into a garbage bag.
Then we both look at the cheerleaders uniform and at each other.
"Think she would like the uniform?" we both ask at once.
"Well, I don't think she's kinky in bed with Clark but it might bring back remembrances for her---happier than mine."
I turn towards her. "Is it true?"
"What?"
"You really straddled Clark?"
"I was under the influence."
"I got that."
"And in the back of my mind, I wish it was somebody else."
"Who?"
"You."
