At the beginning I was sure it was Gabe's death she was 'welcoming' him to. And when she comforting his fears of what she thought of him so quickly, it had me aweing at how close they must be. And then I got to the description of how she looked,

and my heart just about broke. She's dying.

"Silence fell between them once again, like another old friend in the room waiting for the farewell to come." This line is heartbreaking beautiful.
I loved the ending, although admittedly painful. And I teard. =\

This was so well written, and a wonderful story. I'm impressed with how much heart jabbing emotion you managed to squeeze into this story. Great, great job.

    Sad but beautiful.
This last line had me tearing up:
As he promised Lex Luthor did not leave his wife's side until they made him.

That was so sweet. Such a short story but so much emotions. Thank you for sharing that with us.

It's a good thing that in the end Chloe got to end her life the way , I'm sure she lived it, on her own terms. And even through it had to be an awful burden on Lex to see , another, person he loves die, and know there is nothing he could do about it. I'm glad that he was human and strong enough to face this, to give her a part of himself that will now be forever lost. I don't think he will be the same person again after going through this. Great story.

I'm glad he was there for her at the end, but Chloe going insane is my worst case scenario for her. It was lovely and well-written, but now I need an update on Milkshake Morning Afters to get me back to normal.
I agree! Sad and depressing! Poor Chloe and Lex
