I enjoyed the update a lot but I feel bad for Chloe. She's just vulnerable to everything right now but I'm glad that both of them are both hanging in there...hopefully Lex will be able to keep on helping her before Lionel becomes wise to it. You're doing such a great job, I love it and I hope you update again.

Ever since Lex had told her she might be harmed by the hormone cocktail she had been feeling ill. Maybe it had started in her mind and convinced her body, but she was achy and tired.

It is amazing what the mind can do to the body. I liked this little detail.

Being impersonal with patients would be easy for nurses, I would have thought. I suppose if you read just that part of the story, you would be able to see the affect that Lex has on people. The last paragraph about having gotten no where seemed right.

I would like to see more Chloe and Lionel interaction, if it fits. I really like the way this story is going.

This is a great fic, and I'm glad that I found it. You have created a powerful premise here that was quite surprising when I first read it. I love how you are slowly building Chloe and Lex's relationship (although that isn't the right word for it yet!) up.

I love lex's ability to scare everyone. more than that though I love how the plot of this fic is disheartening and yet the tone is positive and the characters seem so strong. It's the perfect mix off strength and vulnerability---the way Chloe and Lex are written in this fic is very special, and I like it a lot. I also like how you show lex's concern without dwelling on it too much because that totally fits his character. He's comes across sappy sometimes but yet he's not a sap, and he can be fierce too, and it's really fun to read characters that have a lot of depth to them...so, in other words, thanks

Just like when the nurse was drawing her blood he felt compelled to observe, but that hadn’t inspired the feeling of tender apprehension he felt watching her sleep. He was no closer to saving her than he had been the first night she had come to him, and that bothered him an unprecedented amount.

Chloe suffers the brunt and aftermath of Lionel's cruelty and Lex acts as a conduit for the guilt and shame. Wonderful flashback to the first chapter and the intimacy of their shared discomfort...even as it continues to grow. Great update, nonky.
