I so agree a sequel with Chloe being a vampire, and a full Luthor!!! Plus a vampire Chloe could so mess with Lana's head..lol... OK i know someone has to die, cause its just not believable that everyone will be unharmed but please dont let it be any of my favorite people, Karl, Elean, Lucas, Tuyla, Alssya and Clark, oh and of course none of the luthors any else would be sad but ok.....

I hate goodbyes. I'm so worried for all of them. So we only have a little over a month to go before this story is over, that is sad. I don't want it to end. What's with the piece of wall? Special torture for Oliver? This fic continues to make me nervous.

Another great chapter. I'm a little sad cause the end is close but I'm happy too. The end of Oliver is approaching and that is good.

I'm a little worry for the Luthor and company but I hope that everybody will be fine.

¡Oh! The kiss between Clark and Alyssa... simply great!

Chapter Two Hundred – The Final Countdown

The occupants in the cabin were silent as the plane made its way across the Atlantic Ocean. About an hour ago there was an update from Lionel saying that their flight was on schedule and the next contact would be when both planes arrived at their destination.

Clark gave up on the book he was reading and studied the two women sitting opposite him. They looked like they were asleep but he knew better. Both women had been quite subdued since the plane took off.

Sighing Clark shifted in his seat and laid his head back. He thought about his mom and dad and hoped he would get to see them again. His mind then drifted to the ‘goodbye’ at the Luthor airstrip. Everyone seemed so sad and scared… even Lionel. But there was still an underlying feeling of hope… Hope that everyone would be safe.

Clark closed his and smiled as he remembered Alyssa’s ‘goodbye’ to him. A light blush flooded his cheeks.

“I hope you’re not thinking about my daughter,” Natasha’s voice startled him from his thoughts. Clark’s eyes flew open to see Natasha smirking at him.

Clark cleared his throat and shifted in his seat, not quite sure what to say.

“Relax Clark, I’m only teasing,” smiled Natasha. “But you can look forward to a very serious chat with Sergi and myself when all this is over. I am very interested in what your attentions are towards my daughter.”

“My… what?” exclaimed Clark. “Mrs Romanov…”

“It’s ok Clark,” said Lillian. “Really Natasha, don’t be scaring the poor boy like that. We can’t have him worrying about a talk with you and Sergi when he has to be concentrating on kicking Oliver’s ass.”

Clark let out a laugh, he just couldn’t help himself. But hearing the words ‘kicking Oliver’s ass’ coming out of Lillian Luthor’s mouth was just too funny.

    Lillian winked at him.

The mood in the cabin seemed to have improved. And at least Natasha and Lillian were talking, even if it was to tease Clark.

“Something’s been puzzling me,” said Clark a moment later.

“Would you like to narrow it down to something more specific,” teased Natasha when he didn’t add to the statement.

Clark resisted the urge to roll his eyes. “When we have taken care of Oliver and transported him to Karnak what are we expected to do then?”

“We are to go to Karnak to help out with the battle,” said Lillian.

    “And we get there how?”

Natasha was silent as she looked at Lillian.

“Courtesy of Byron,” smirked the Luthor matriarch.

“Now maybe you’d like to narrow it down to something more specific,” grinned Natasha.

“He found another spell,” said Lillian.

    “Another transport spell?” asked Clark.

“Kind of, but nowhere near as powerful as the one we’re going to cast on Oliver. This is a kind of tandem transport spell. We can transport ourselves but not over the great distance and to the exact point that the other spell can.”

“So, we ship ourselves across Europe till we hit Karnak,” said Natasha.

    “Yes,” replied Lillian.

“Why do I sense a ‘but’ coming?” said Clark.

“Because there is. There are a limited number of times that we can transport with this spell. And that number is only three. So at the moment Byron is working on the best route for us.”

    “Fun and games,” murmured Natasha.

    --------------------------------------------------

Heike paced nervously up and down, checking her watch every five minutes.

Lionel had called her about an hour earlier giving her an update on the status of Lillian’s plane. He had also spent time thanking her for all her help so far and how appreciative he and his family were of her unwavering loyalty and support. He had left her quite embarrassed by the end of the call.

She was straight into action. A car was organised and currently sat outside the airport waiting for the guests. A few rooms had been prepared at the hotel… everything was in place for their arrival.

She glanced at her watch again… forty-five minutes to go; the plane was due to land in forty-five minutes. Taking a deep breath Heike called the men who were watching the warehouse for an update. It would help pass the time and also she would have a complete updated report for Lillian and the others when they arrived.

    --------------------------------------------------

Lucas and Gabe sat in the airport waiting for Karl and Elena's plane to land. Lucas had been speaking to both his parents earlier and spent a long time telling his mother to be careful.

Gabe watched the young man fidgeting beside him. He knew he was worried about his mother.

“Lucas, she will be fine. Both she and Natasha are incredibly strong women, they will get through this. And there is no way Clark will let *anything* happen to either of them.”

“I know that,” sighed Lucas. “Still can’t help worrying though.”

“Wait till you have children, then you'll be constantly worrying,” chuckled Gabe.

“I think I know now what my mom and dad go through every time Lex and I got into trouble or where off somewhere. It’s not a nice feeling.”

    “No it’s not.”

“Hey it’s their plane,” said Lucas.

Both men moved over the large window and watched as the plane landed, quite smoothly, on the runaway.

“Come on Gabe, let’s meet them at the door,” said Lucas tugging the other man’s arm.

The made their way down as the airplane taxied across the ground and came to a complete stop. The door was just opening as they arrived.

Karl and Elena stepped off the plane to see a smiling Gabe and Lucas waiting for them. Elena gave them a small wave as she descended the steps.

“Oh so good to see you both,” she said hugging Lucas and then Gabe.

“Good to see you too my dear,” smiled Gabe hugging her back.

“Welcome to Egypt,” grinned Lucas shaking Karl’s hand and then pulling him into a hug.

“We heard the action here was good,” laughed Karl hugging his friend.

“Good and going to get much better,” said Lucas releasing him.

“Hey Gabe,” smiled Karl shaking the other man’s hand.

“Nice to see you again son,” he smiled.

“Well come on then. We have a car waiting and a bit of a drive to the village. Anna is waiting not very patiently mind you for you to arrive.”

“So Lucas,” said Elena as the all began walking off. “Tell us about this Tuyla…”

    --------------------------------------------------

“Mrs Luthor how wonderful to see you,” smiled Heike. “It’s just a pity it’s not under better circumstances.”

“Heike my dear, you look great,” Lillian replied taking the woman in her arms and kissing her cheek.

“Mrs Romanov, belated congratulations on the birth of your granddaughter,” said Heike.

    “Thank you Heike.”

“And you must be Clark Kent. Nice to meet you Mr Kent,” Heike held her hand out to Clark.

“Nice to meet you too Ms…” said Clark shaking the offered hand.

    “It’s just Heike,” she replied.

“And I’m just Clark please. Mr Kent is my dad.”

“Clark it is then. Well if you are all ready we should leave. I have a car waiting.”

All four headed to the waiting car. “Mrs Luthor, Mrs Romanov,” said the driver nodding his head as he held the door open for them.

“Thank you Mike,” murmured Lillian and they all got into the back.

“The hotel please Mike,” said Heike and when he started the engine she closed the partition between the driver and the back of the car.

“I called the team watching the warehouse,” began Heike as the car drove off. “The traffic back and forth from the warehouse has calmed down. In fact in the last few hours there have only been two vans entering and none leaving.”

“Any word on when exactly Oliver will be there?” asked Natasha.

“We believe he is there already,” said Heike. “I am just awaiting confirmation of that fact. Jurgen has been seen over the last twenty-four hours in and out of the warehouse. And about six hours ago a blacked-out van entered the building. And while our contact couldn’t see exactly who got out they are fairly certain it was Oliver. One of the guards watching is going to see how close she can get to confirm that Oliver is there.”

“I hope she’ll be careful,” murmured Lillian.

“She knows what is at stake Mrs Luthor,” said Heike softly. “She will do what is needed.”

“I know,” sighed Lillian. “But that doesn’t mean I have to like it when young people sacrifice themselves…”

“I’m assuming our arrival has been kept quiet,” said Natasha changing the conversation.

“It has… And you have no idea how difficult that was,” said Heike with a wry smile. “The name Luthor and Romanov is far too well known. But rest assured only those that need to know are aware that you are here.”

“If Heike’s contact confirms that Oliver is at the warehouse are we going to hit it?” asked Clark, looking from one woman to the other.

“If he is only going to be there for the one night, then yes we will,” said Lillian. “If he’s going to hang around for a couple of days then we will wait until tomorrow. Personally I would rather wait till tomorrow I’d like to recharge my batteries before launching into an attack.”

“There should be an update when we arrive at the hotel,” said Heike.

    --------------------------------------------------

“They have arrived in Germany and Heike has picked them up,” said Lionel to everyone. “There is a very good chance the Oliver is at the warehouse… they are just waiting on the final confirmation. If he is there and it looks like he’s only there for the night, they will launch the attack. If he’s going to be hanging around the attack will happen tomorrow.”

He paused for a moment to allow the news to sink in.

“Wow, it’s really happening then,” murmured Chloe.

“We’ll be landing in Egypt in an hour… it will take us about forty minutes to get to the ruins and that’s at full speed. If they go tonight we’ll be cutting it very fine,” said Lex.

“We will be there and we will be ready,” said Lionel. “Lex contact your brother and tell him the latest. We are on schedule and will be there in time.”

    --------------------------------------------------

“Ok people we may have a go tonight,” said Lucas rubbing his hands.

“I think I speak for everyone here when I say ‘What?’, said Gabe with a smile.

Lucas quickly explained what Lex had just told them.

“Holy crap…it’s all seem so real now,” muttered Gabe taking Anna’s hand.

“The air is changing,” said Tuyla. She walked over to the window and looked out over the desert. “The sand knows; it knows what is coming. The sands are shifting; all the souls that have perished on it, both good and bad will be awakened… It just needs the final spark…”

She turned to find everyone staring at her. Her ability to completely understand English and others around her to understand her had been growing in the weeks since her ‘test’ with Chloe.

“And that final spark would be Oliver,” said Karl.

“Exactly,” nodded Tuyla. “A lot of blood will be spilt on these sands…” She whispered as she turned back to look out over the desert.

    --------------------------------------------------

They had settled in the hotel and were all gathered in Lillian’s room when Heike got a call. Excusing herself she left the room to take the call.

Clark sat nervously as he waited for her to return, resisting the urge to ‘listen’ in on her call.

“Don’t worry Clark, we’re not listening in either,” teased Natasha.

Lillian smiled as she sat at the small desk looking over the spell.

The door opened and three pairs of eyes turned to watch Heike as she entered the room. She had a bright smile on her face.

    “Good news?” asked Clark.

“That depends on how you look at it,” said Heike. “Yes Oliver is there… and he’s going to be there for a few days. He’s giving his ‘we are great and if you follow me we’ll rule the world’ speech to a batch of new recruits. He’s going to be around to flaunt how mighty and powerful he is.”

Clarke breathed out a very audible sigh of relief and all three women looked at him.

“Sorry… hey if we have to go tonight I’m all ready,” he said shrugging his shoulders. “But my preference is tomorrow…”

“It’s ok Clark,” smiled Lillian. “My preference is tomorrow as well. Did your contact get herself hurt in any way getting this information?” she asked Heike.

    “No…. thankfully,” replied Heike.

“Ok, tomorrow it is…” said Natasha.

“As soon as the sun sets we hit the warehouse,” said Lillian.
