AN - I wrote this the other day when I was working on my thesis. Enjoy.
“I came to take you home.”
His tone, soothing and forbidding,
A promise of what was to come.
A taste of what he’ll put her through,
To get all the answers he wants.
Without so much a “how are you?”
He shepherded his prey onto a jet.
From the colds of the Artic,
To the proverbial fire of his steady gaze.
She has the answers that he craves,
In his mind, of that there’s no doubt.
The question then arises is how,
What move he’ll take to wring the answers?
Straight from the horse’s mouth.
Her role as sidekick to his arch-rival,
The nemesis that sports a good toupee,
Makes her a formidable obstacle in his way.
One that is not so easily overcome.
Ah! But wait!
He knows her weakness, her secret,
A finger here and a finger there and
Lots of fingers everywhere,
Surely, she’ll cave.
A wicked gleam in his eye for her,
He approaches and hunts his prey.
His long, deft fingers seek swiftly
At surely her most vulnerable points.
She gasps, she pants and she fights,
No match for his skillful hands.
A few minutes later, the jig is up.
She surrenders and cries “Uncle!”
He smiled reveling in his victory,
As she says, “I’ll tell. I’ll tell all”
The jet carries him and her back
Home where they’ll do round two.
