It was nice to see this story updated. I love the premise and have always had a soft spot for Lex interacting with babies and small kids, especially when he becomes the focus of their attention- really no surprise there; who would resist his charm?
I liked the way he reacted when he experienced what it is like to be the target of a pair of intense blue-grey so much like his. Loved that he took so much care in choosing the gift. It must have been pretty emotional for him to be at the receiving end of such unaffected affection and acceptance for the first time. As difficult a trial as the whole situation must have been, I'm sure he'll keep coming back for more.
It was also nice to see Chloe in a role that he might have never associated her with and especially to witness how this clearly affected him. And Chloe... well, the fact that she's started to wonder about the way she feels around Lex is definitely promising.
Things on the Lionel front are too quiet... that doesn't bode well at all.
