Re: NS Monthly Challenge - #16 Jan-Feb "Blackmail" Entries
Does anyone know why story four isn't available in the poll?

Because it was written by Mindy aka westwingwolf and since she's the one in charge of the organisation and posting she can't take part in the competition. :)

Ahhh makes much more sense!
A little disappointed though, my vote would have gone to #4.
Although, I did enjoy #3 as well, the ending just tickled me pink.
Thank you guys for getting this set up and to all the people who wrote for the challenge!

I felt the same way too. I wanted to vote for number 4 and was looking to do so, but noticed it wasn't there. Bummer :(
Great job Mindy!

They were all very intriguing to say the least. It amazes me to see what four different ideas about the same topic can do. I really liked #4 best because it was the one I most wanted to be continued (please continue it lol). #2 was a bit confusing for me but very well written. I would love a link to the other stories. #3 made me literally laugh out loud because I didn't see the ending coming. #1 was my second favorite because it was interesting and something I never even considered (lana having the balls to do that stuff). All in all, great job guys!

Don't want to rain on your parade or Zannie's, but I believe - I'm almost 100% sure-there are no other stories. Hopefully, the author will consider giving us more now that she's picked the readers' interest. :)

There are in fact previous entries to this series, and I've edit that story's original post to include links.

OK. So maybe there were no children in the other fics or, at least the names Erik and Liza weren't mentioned... I had a hunch about who the author might be and now I know it for certain but mum's the word.

I went back and read all the previous stories in that sequence, and--although they all work really well individually--when read together they were amazing! What a complex, angsty, and powerful story the author has told! It was painful to see Lex and Chloe brought to such desperate lengths - Lex turned so helpless and Chloe so vengeful. And it's even more painful to see how their conflicted reality has been passed on to the next generation. Reading this last story again, knowing what preceded it, made it much more powerful. The dynamics between the children are fascinating and seem very true to their family situation.
Kudos to the author for such a great series of vignettes. And it has also made me think that, if I connect vignettes this way, maybe I can actually participate in the challenges within the word count!

Then you mustn't claim them not to spoil the fun, although there are always clues that point at the culprit. I'm looking forward to your participation!
