"Told you So"
Chloe sat in a hard wooden chair. Her hands cuffed
behind her back she moved slightly to ease the metal
away from her nearly raw wrists. This was the last
time, "I'm so going to take a vacation." She muttered
to herself, "as soon as I get the hell out of this
place."
She wished like hell someone would come save her.
Here she was, a strong woman in an even stronger
world. Filled with people who just couldn't let a
good reporter snoop. One little snoop wouldn't hurt
anyone, yet it did. It hurt her. Well, it wouldn't
have hurt anyone if she hadn't gotten caught. But she
did. So alas, here sat Chloe Sullivan, grade A prime
reporter for the Ledger. At 23 she was already
starting to rethink her life path. This wasn't the
first time it had happened. Not this extreme, but it
still wasn't the first. And where the hell was boy
wonder?
A grin came over her as she let a few choice words
roll through her head.

"Uh huh, kiss me babay, love me babay." Chloe's head
snapped around as another voice added on to her
singing. Lex came around the chair and smiled down at
her.
"Well, well, well, Miss Sullivan, what the hell are
you doing here?" He squatted down in front of her,
his fingers working at the rope that had her ankles
tied to the chair.
"I don't know, Luthor, could I have been oh, maybe
kidnapped?"
"Doubt it, you were snooping again weren't you?" He
smiled up at her and started working on the next rope.
"And you were following me again weren't you?" She
eyed him suspiciously.
"What can I say, I came to ask you out for dinner and
instead ended up following you to this hole in the
ground run down plant. Why exactly are you here?"
Lex smiled at her so openly she could help but let her
guard down, how could she stay angry when looking into
those blue eyes?
"Dammit, Lex. Don't even think it." She warned him
and shivered as he kissed a bare knee then stood
above her.
"If you don't let me say it, I'm leaving you here."
he grinned down at her.
He was right. Although she had a feeling he wouldn't
leave his fiancee handcuffed to a bolted down chair,
she knew he was right. He warned her but did she
listen? Course not, what would be the fun in that?
"Fine, say it, but not in that little sing-song
voice..."
"I told you so." He grinned down at her and lowered
his head to kiss her calmly. "Now about those cuffs."
His voice was deliberately low.
Her eyes shot open. "You ASS!" She squirmed in the
chair. "You did this on purpose!"
Lex backed away from her and pulled the key of the
handcuffs out of his pants pocket. "Now, now, honey,
I had to teach you a lesson."
"Come a little closer so I can take your lesson and
shove it up your ass, Luthor!"
Lex laughed and Chloe sighed heavily. "I forgive you
for being an ASS, now come undo me." She rattled the
cuffs behind her back and winced. "It's starting to
hurt."
Lex arched a brow. "You didn't mind them last night."
Chloe was thoughtful for a second. "I thought they
felt familiar." Lex looked down at her and her eyes
met his before the both let laughter consume them.
"I'll let you out on one condition." Lex stated
proudly.
"What?" She snapped back.
"Temper temper, Chloe, dear." He patted her head and
moved to stand behind her. "You have to say it."
Chloe leaned her head back and closed her eyes.
Feeling his lips press gently to her forehead she
smiled. "You told me so." She sighed and opened her
eyes to find curious blue ones staring down at her.
"I'm sorry I didn't hear you." he grinned evilly and
she glared. "Repeat it, please." He said and jingled
the keys in his hand.
"YOU TOLD ME SO!!" Chloe nearly screamed. Lex
unlocked the cuffs and knelt down beside her,
peppering her wrists with wet kisses.
"Glad you see it my way." Chloe nudged him with her
foot.
"Take me home, Lex." She threw her arms around his
neck and buried her face into his neck.
"I say the Bahamas, for your vacation." He added
quietly, sure she'd catch it.
"I'm not even going to get into it right now."
He smiled as her carried her out of the old, pitted
warehouse that was once a LuthorCorp scrap plant.
"Love you." He kissed her hair and whispered against
it.
"I know." She lifted her head and tilted it to the
side. "You know I love you right?"
Lex looked down at her and his blue eyes sparkled with
some unspoken emotion. "Oh, believe me, I know."
