So, you just managed to register and validate your account, now what?

Well, there's plenty you can do, but below is a list of what you can do to get started with familiarizing yourself with the forums and all the nifty stuff you can do here :)

You can start by filling out your user profile (http://forums.naughty-seduction.net/profile.php?do=editprofile) here, to let us know a little more about you.

You can customize your profile (http://forums.naughty-seduction.net/profile.php?do=customize) to make it more unique, but that might be a bit advanced for now. Take a look at my profile page (http://forums.naughty-seduction.net/member.php?u=1) to get an idea of what you can do.

You can also choose an avatar (http://forums.naughty-seduction.net/profile.php?do=editavatar) (see the HOW TO GUIDE (http://forums.naughty-seduction.net/showthread.php?t=6353) if you have any questions) for your profile in your User CP (http://forums.naughty-seduction.net/usercp.php) > Edit Avatar (http://forums.naughty-seduction.net/profile.php?do=editavatar).

Then head on over to the Newbies (http://forums.naughty-seduction.net/forumdisplay.php?f=29) forum to say hi :). It doesn't have to be anything long and fancy, just tell us a little about yourself and how you got here :)

Is there some reason when I try to read the posting on page 349 for Sanguis quid Ligurat I can't see anything--the body of the story posted. I can tell it was posted as there were replies, but I see nothing. And when I go on to then next posting (don't remember the page number) I only see a few lines with most of the body of the story "invisible" so to speak.

I've been enjoying this fic and have read approximately the first 124 chapters without any problem, but now it's like the post is there but can't be read because the lettering has blended with the background making it invisible.

Lexie might have already sent you the fic, but I think this has to do with the color of the post. Ruafair might have posted it with a black text, and if you're using the Fanfiction Awards 09 skin, you won't see it because the background on the skin is also black ;) Try using a different skin, that might help if you come across this problem in other posts :) You can also let me know by sending me the thread and page (just copy and paste the entire url) and I can go and fix it :)

Lexie was great and sent me the link already. I must admit I'm not sure exactly what you mean by the "skin." Does that mean that the lettering is the skin? And if so how do I go about changing that. The posts on page 349 and 352 are "invisible" pretty much to me, but the fic is completely readable on page 355.

Below are the pages and the actual posting links. I hope this is what you were wanting. The first set is the "invisible" to me at least ;) link story post. The second set is the 99% invisible link story post. And the third set is how I've been able to read the story all along--crystal clear :)

I must admit I'm not sure exactly what you mean by the "skin."

"Skin" is the name given to the background of the site. The default skin at present is the one Julie made using the fan art letia84 produced for this year´s fanfiction awards. The colours of the pages as you browse the site are in shades of brown and golden, right? Now, if you scroll down, in the left-hand corner of any page you´ll find a drop-down menu with different options to change the skin (the colours and the banner/fanart you can see at the top of the pages). At present it says "Fanfiction Awards´09", but you can change it for another one showing only Michael (Michael2) or Chloe (Angelic2). I hope this helps.:grin3:

That's nifty, the whole changing skin thing. I haven't tried changing the skin to see if I can read those posts yet, but I will.

Haha! I just checked it with the skin changed and I can read it. I feel like someone shouted "It's alive!" Of course I'm no Frankstein's monster, I don't think, but I can read it now.

You taught me something new...well in my case I don't know that much to begin with sooooo... ;) Anyhow I appreciate your patience in explaining things to a "newbie" like me. Thanks.

Thanks for fixing this. The fic is pretty interesting and moves at a fairly quick but unrushed pace. So my reading of it has been mostly smooth and fast-paced as well with the exception of the few bumps.
