Note: Pending the crap episode that I watched like a crazy person this week I want to write this. I won’t make the mistake again of thinking I was missing something and watch the show again. This is and add on I know the show won't do taking place after the episode Void The chapters well be very short.

Summary: Lex and Chloe have to deal with the past few weeks. Murder, death, and chaos seem to follow them where ever they go.

Part 1 I come to see you…

“Late again” Chloe grumbled to her self packing her bag in the dorm room. Luck for her Lana was in the library and gave the room to her this morning. Once again she had to save Lana’s ass and she was tried of doing it.

Lana was hurting and decided it was a good idea to dabble with drugs and death. It wasn’t making any sense to Chloe why she was taking the break up so hard since all her focus was on Lex Luthor these days.

Chloe couldn’t be in the room with her five minutes without her mentioning Lex to her. She didn’t trust Lex after what happened in the cave all those months ago and she could never forgive him for what he did to her during the meteor shower.

It appeared now that their friendship was extinct. All Lex wanted was Clark’s secret and she wasn’t going to give it to him. She thought he would be following her around or having someone do it but it appeared Lex was to involved in his purist for the senate seat and now Lana Lang’s affections.

Lana working with Lex to get her into Belle Reve was the last straw for her and any hope that Lex and her could repair their friendship. Belle Reve knew how to do two things; lock you in a padded cell and treat patients with electric shock thepary. Chloe couldn’t believe Lex wanted her there after what happened to him but lucky for her Clark was still trying to be there for her.

Chloe tried not to let things get her down but the past few weeks she'd seen enough of her share of dead bodies. Her years at Samllville high she saw things she never thought she would see and anyone would assume she would just get use to death after seeing so much of it.

Chloe was having a harder time then ever dealing with death. A few weeks ago someone shot Simone. Whether it was her or Lex they both had their hands on the gun and she killed someone again.

Shooting Gabriel kept her up night after night and now she was adding another person to the list. The girl dying in her arms after taking to much of the flat-lined drug was all over campus haunting her.

Now that she was visiting her mother off and on she was starting to worry if she would end up just like her if she kept living this chaotic life.

She was running late for class and pushed back the thoughts of the past few weeks but one thing she could never avoid and that was Lex Luthor.

Lex was standing outside of Chloe and Lana’s dorm door and he wanted to knock but he was debating not to.

He looked at his watch and assumed Chloe would be in there since she was always late for this class at this time. He knew this because he was having her followed since their talk in the caves about what really happened during the meteor shower.

Things where getting more complicated in his life and he wasn’t paying enough attention to the surveillance placed on Chloe. He was no closer to understanding what happened that day and it frustrated him to no end.

He was working on Lana and it seemed like any day she would be throwing her self at him ready to tell him everything he could never get out of Chloe about Clark Kent.

The past few weeks Chloe had saved his life twice and he couldn’t just ignore it. He had to say thank you even though he knew their friendship was dead and it was his fault.

Chloe severed her purpose and helped get his father in to the jail. Even though he wanted to keep his friendship with her there where more important things to him or so he thought. He was fighting his mind, body, and soul's desire for her and it was becoming apparent he couldn't keep up the strong front much longer.

Lex took in a deep breath and was about to knock when Chloe opened the door.

Chloe opened the door to rush out and Lex Luthor was standing in the way. She didn’t have time for him and told him what he wanted to hear. “Lana is in the library.” She brushed pass him and started to walk off.

Lex knew this wouldn’t be easy but he had to try anyway. “Chloe wait I came here to see you.” Lex took a few quick steps to catch up to her.

Chloe glared at him walking next to her and just wanted him gone. “A Luthor coming to see me is never good.” She started to walk faster and he jumped in front of her.

“I know your late for class just let me say one thing” Lex blocked her path down the hall. He got a flash of the last time they where standing in the hall like this and he got a jolt from a stun gun he would never forget.

“What do you want?” Chloe said to him feeling her self getting flush as she remember how good it felt when Gretchen hit him with the stun gun. He dissevered more for totally forgetting she even existed in his world but she had no control over her body.

“You saved my life and I wanted to say thank you.” Lex let the words come out in rush for fear of not saying them at all.

“If your keeping count I have saved you twice in the past month.” Chloe tried to push pass him put her stopped her stepping in her way.

Lex let out an aggravated sigh and just wanted this to go smoothly. “You could just say your welcome and leave it at that.”

“Wow this is the shitties thank you I have ever gotten.” Chloe spit back.

“I’m doing my best here but you don’t seem very receptive to my efforts.” Lex shot back at her.

Chloe's glare turned into an evil stare and she couldn't take much more of him. She jerked passed him sending him back out of her way.

Lex turned to stop her grabbing her arm. She wasn’t going to just walk away again they needed to have this talk. “Chloe wait I want to talk about Lana.”

“I told you she’s in the library now let me go.” Chloe tried to jerk her arm away and she dropped her bag on the ground.

“That’s not what I meant Chloe.” Lex tighten his grip on her and she struggled to get way. Someone peeked out of their dorm room and saw them fighting then went back in.

Lex felt like he was making a fool of himself and now that someone could go and tell everyone Lex Luthor was harassing a co-ed.

Lex let go of her arm and didn’t know why she always brought out this aggression in him. He picked up her bag and handed it over to her. “I guess it was a mistake for me to come here.”

She snatched the bag from him. “It was.” Chloe turned and walked away from him. Then her mind focused on one thing he said.

“I know your late for class…”

She thought about it the rest of the day how he knew she was late for class.

Lex and Chloe really do need to have a conversation about her saving his life--I mean she brought him back from the dead in Void, for god sakes!

Part 2 …You come to see me.

Chloe didn’t know why she was doing it but she was in her car minutes away from the Luthor Mansion. She hadn’t come to this place under the pretense to just talk to Lex in ages.

The last time she was there a dead body was in front of her and she didn’t know if she would keep it together if she saw that space on the floor where Simone's dead body was.

She pulled up in the drive way and took a second to think about her plan in coming here tonight. A three hour drive wasn’t going to be wasted because she let her emotions take over. She need answers and had to be ready to weasel them out of Lex in anyway possible.

He came to see her to talk about Lana and she wanted to know why. It didn't seem like he wanted to defended his annoying attraction to her and why he would for that matter made little sense. Who Lex Luthor chose to be with was so far from being her business.

Chloe stepped out of her red beetle dressed in her latest suit for work at the Daily Planet. She should be sitting in the office trying to work her way up the journalist tree but Lex’s comment was still ringing in her ears. He didn’t say it matter-of-factly as if it were an off hand comment but he said it as if he knew it with certainty.

If he did know then he was having her followed and Chloe had to know the truth then put a stop to it if it was true.

Security greeted her and it appeared their numbers had increased the last time she was there. It made perfect sense to add more barriers since Lex has had more break-ins this year including Lana somehow getting pass. They checked her out and waved her in.

Chloe was at the door to the study and she could hear Lex playing the piano. She took in a few deep breaths and turned the door knob.

Lex tried to keep the thoughts of his mother out of his mind but there she was floating around him resting in the keys of the piano he was playing. Her disappointment and disgust with him couldn’t be ignored. He was beginning to settle into the fact that maybe he was becoming the monster she always feared.

He tried to dull his mind with a quick sip of scotch sitting on the piano then he started to play a different piece pushing his mother’s words back into the folds of his mind. He let himself think about his talk with Chloe today or his failed attempt to talk to her today.

She just couldn’t take his gratitude and it bothered him more then liked. She saved his life and it meant something to him and it had to mean something to her. Chloe could have given up and let him die if she really despised him shown by her actions today.

He let the scene replay in his mind and couldn’t stand the glare she gave him or the cold shoulder she used to push pass him. He tried to remember what he said to her and if it warranted such a greeting but after everything that happened between them he deserved worse.

Lex replayed what he said to her then he felt like he slipped. He made it known that she was running late for class and he knew he didn’t say it as if it was and assumption. He only hoped the slip was missed by Chloe and she wasn't suspicions of his surveillance on her.

Again he tried to push back bad thoughts taking a sip of his drink then going back to his mother’s song from his brush with death. He heard the door close and assumed it was Lana coming in but to his surprise it was someone he never expected to see but knew exactly why she was there.

Chloe opened the door to the study and saw Lex sitting at the piano stroking the keys and he turned to look at her once he heard the door closed.

Lex stopped playing once he glanced up and saw Chloe. “I wasn’t expecting you to ever come here again.”

“Well I guess we are both doing things we never expected today.” Chloe walked into the study and her eyes drifted to the spot where Simone's body was. Just as she feared she let her mind replay the scene and she could feel the gun going off in her hands.

Lex saw her go off into a trace staring at the polished hard wood floor and he assumed she was remembering the hyno slut that double crossed him.

“I took care of it if you’re worried about the police.” Lex got up from the paino with his drink in hand.

Chloe saw his chest in front of her and it brought her back from her memories of that night. “I’m sure you did take care of it. She was just another dead body to add to the Luthor list.”

Lex shook his head and didn’t expect the retort but it was well dissevered. “I don’t see you running to the police confessing your involvement.”

“I don’t know who shot her it could have been you or me but you’re right maybe I should….” Chloe stop short and didn’t know what was happening but what he said was true she didn’t give it a second thought. Whoever the girl was she was dead potentially because of something she did.

She felt her chest heave and a few tears started to drift down her cheeks. It was another person that died because of her and her mind was reeling over the fact that she brushed it off as if it meant nothing.

Lex saw her going through the motions in her mind and after she started in so strong he wasn’t expecting to see her cry. He didn’t know what to do about it and didn’t really seem to understand where the tears came from.

Lex waited a few moments to let her get under control thinking she would just stop but her few tears turned into harsh sobs and Chloe flung her self into his chest. He almost dropped his glass she jerked at him so hard but he let her rest her small frame into his larger one.

“I kept killing people. Why does death follow me where ever I go? I know why it’s because of me there is something wrong with me. I must be a horrible person.” Chloe mumbled muffled in Lex's shirt. She needed to feel some kind of comfort at that moment and Lex's warm chest was the closet thing to her.

Lex let his hand drift to her head stoking the back of her soft blonde hair. She was really breaking down in front of him and he felt helpless. He decided to go back to his original plan and say what he wanted to say when he went to see her today.

“Chloe you saved my life twice this month and I wanted to tell you thank you. You’re a good person and even people you’re not on the best of terms with you don’t wish harm to them. You proved that by helping me. You’re not a bad person and death won’t always follow you because there is something deficient about who you are.”

Chloe listening to him closely let her self chock out a few more sobs before raising her head from his chest to look up at him. His body was tense and he appeared to be very uncomfortable with her being so close to him. She tried to back away from him but Lex moved to hold her in place by her back.

Lex looked at her rumpled face and he couldn’t let her move away from him yet. There was something in her eyes that told him not to let go. He let all his memories of Chloe rush through his mind and they almost knocked the wind out of him.

Lex took in a deep breath and let him self do what never allowed in all his time knowing her. His actions where quick and it didn’t give Chloe time to stop him.

Lex dropping the glass he was holding to put both his hands around her body pulling her closer to him getting her lips to meet his and he pressed his mouth into hers.

He kissed her hard and urgently and Chloe didn’t pull away but she was kissing him back. Her wet cheeks were brushing against his face then the glass shattered on the floor. As soon as it did Chloe jerked back away from him stumbling back from his grasp on her.

“What the fuck just happened.” She said her voice shrill and her eyes staring at Lex in disbelief.

Part 3 I tell you...

I'm sure it was more whishfull thinking than really believing that Chloe wouldn't remember or catch something he said. Or prehaps it was a Freudian slip and Lex really wanted Chloe to know that he has her followed, because this way she would have to talk to him [ if for no other reason than to yell at him]. I loved the whole kissing scene. the contrast between her emotional breakdown and Lex letting his emotions to get the better of him and do what he wanted to do, with her shocked question at the end was just perfect. More, please.

Unlike the show, you are actually having Chloe reacting to the fact that she is responsible for the death of two people, and you are having Lex feeling guilty for disappointing his mom.

This is good and believable strorytelling, and I think you are doing a wonderful job with this:D

Part 3 I tell you...

“What the fuck just happened.” She said her voice shrill and her eyes staring at Lex in disbelief.

Lex paused he took moment to figure what the fuck just happened. This wasn’t like the drunk kiss he gave Lana after the election results or some need to shut Chloe up and keep her form crying. It was something else that he couldn’t define and it was something that was always there floating over their entire relationship.

Chloe took in some much need air and brushed the tears from her eyes. Her mind was running a mile a minute trying to understand not why Lex Luthor just kissed her but why she allowed her self to kiss him back.

Lex had to play this off as if it where just a fluke and a momentary lapse in judgment. “I’m sorry didn’t mean to…”

“You better be sorry.” Chloe cut in still not able to believe that something happened and it was something she thought about but never thought would come true at this point.

“Is everything alright Mr. Luthor?” A member of Lex’s staff popped his head into the study. “I heard something break?”

It was a welcoming distraction from current events. “A glass just broke we are fine.”

“Speak for your self” Chloe mumbled. She didn’t know if she should just leave or get back to what it was she really came there for.

“It’s fine I can clean it up you can leave.” Lex waved off the staff member and he started to walk for the side door to restroom to get a towel. He didn’t say anything to Chloe and assumed she would just run away.

Chloe tried to get a grip on herself once he left. She was crying like a hysterical woman in front of Lex Luthor. She needed to get back to the point of why she was there.

It didn’t matter that he thanked her for saving him or telling her that she wasn’t a bad person. She and Lex were no longer friend’s not even casual acquaintances and he could be having her followed around like some crazy obsessed stalker.

Going over what she was really there for Chloe pushed her guilt back then buried it at the pit of her stomach and was ready to get her answers.

Lex came back to the room to find Chloe still standing where he left her. She no longer seemed up set but pissed off. He took the time to lay the towel down over the scotch and glass mess then went for the waste basket near his desk to put it in. If he just ignored her maybe she would just go away and let him think about what just happened.

She watched him cleaning up the mess and wonder how many people where permitted to such a domestic Lex Luthor.

Lex was accustomed to silence in fact enjoyed it but having her stand there watching him kneeling on the floor cleaning up the mess was making him long for her to say something or just leave. “Why are you staring? Haven’t you seen someone clean up a mess before?”

Chloe narrowed her eyes and didn’t think his hostility was necessary. He kissed her he should be explaining him self. “How did you know I was late for class today?”

Lex finished scooping all the glass in the waste basket and then he heard question. He swallowed so hard he thought he took his tongue with him. He stood up and went for the bar to replace his drink with another one. “What are you talking about?”

Chloe followed behind him. “You came to see me and it was like you knew exactly the right time to do it.” She wasn’t going to let him get out of this by playing dumb. “It appeared you have gained some sort of power of premonition to know I was running late specifically for class.”

“It was a guess.” Lex said to her pouring a new glass of scotch. “Is that why you came here?” He turned to face her and she was looking less then pleased with his answer.

“This is why I came here among other things.” Chloe took in a deep breath. “Lex I want and answerer and honest one. Consider it payment for me saving your life twice. I’ll repeat the question so you fully understand it. How did you know I was late for class?”

She did dissever the truth and maybe telling her now he could get to what he was looking for; Clark’s secret. “I told you I would find out what really happened during the meteor showers so for a time I was having you followed.”

Chloe stared at him as he spoke and his expression was blank like what he said made perfect sense and there was no room for her to be upset by it. “You bastard! I knew it I knew you said what you did a little too much like you just knew.”

Chloe turned around and let her mind wonder to what happened with her the past few months. The things she done, the people she'd spoken to and all the times she helped Clark. Lex couldn’t’ have seen anything that would finger Clark since he had done nothing about it.

“Well I hope you had a good run at being a stalker because it stops now.”

“Your ready to tell me the truth now?” Lex placed his glass down. If she wanted to fight and have it all out then they where going to fight.

Chloe turned back to face him ready to punch him square in the nose for what he done and not even apologizing for it. "Did you find what you where looking for Lex.”

“No that should be obvious to you by now.” He spit back at her.

“Well there is nothing to find.” Chloe felt her pressure raising and her breathing quicken. Everything that was between them was surfacing and she wanted to have it all out on the table and have it all explained. “I told you I don’t remember what happened that day if I did I sure as hell wouldn’t tell you.”

“Why because of some twisted loyalty you have to Clark. Well get it through your head he well never love you Chloe.” Lex didn’t mean to say what he did but it came out and he couldn't take it back.

Chloe felt her heart lurch then her skin catch on fire from anger. “Who said anything about Clark? This is about you and me and your need to control everything. Clark is a better friend then you ever were to me so hell yes my loyalty is with him but it so unfortunate for you that there is no mystery to Clark Kent. But you want to talk about love? Do you really think Lana will love you Lex. Lana loves one person her self and there is no room for another person in that love.”

That aggressions she always manged to pull out of him was hitting its peak and Lex grabbed her arms pulling her closer to him. “You think your so smart and know everything. Lana means less then nothing to me.”

“Oh she means nothing. She is singing a different tune. She thinks you’re in love with her. You keep kissing her and you where working together to get me committed“ Chloe struggled in his grasp trying to get away from him unable to move to do anything in his iron grip.

“First off I was drunk when that happened and secondly I was trying to get you help. I know how it feels to be lost like that and I wanted to help you.” Lex tossed her to the side feeling his emotions getting the best of him like when he kissed her. Damn Chloe always in the way of his control over himself.

Chloe stumbled a few steps back. “You care about me that’s a laugh. I haven’t spoken to you in months and your first words to me are about Lana.”

“Stop talking about Lana.” Lex had his back to her and couldn’t look at her anymore. He just listened to her taunting him.

“No you wanted to talk about Lana to day remember so lets talk about her. What is it really Lex that is so appealing about her to you? You think she's sweet and innocent but she’s not. You think she’s beautiful and virginal trust me that went out the window months ago with Clark. You want her to be your prize so you can say hey look I won out over Clark I win the pink fairy princess. Is it she reminds you of someone is that it. The long line of burettes you fuck reminding you of your mother is that where Lana fits in to your life. Is it….”

Chloe was going to keep going but he grabbed her. He grabbed her arms so hard this time he was going to leave bruises on her. His face was flushed and she knew she went to far mentioning his mother.

“Do you really want to know Chloe?” Lex shook her trying to make her see to understand why he was doing what he did with Lana. “I need to know the truth about Clark. You won’t tell me so I am playing Lana to get the truth. She has nothing to do with my mother and you be mindful not to mention her again to me in that context.”

“I'm sorry.” Chloe tried to get away but he wasn’t letting her go this time. "You’re hurting me Lex."

“You came here looking for answers. For the truth. Fine here is the truth. Did I have you followed? Yes! Am I using Lana to get what I want? Yes! Did I kiss you just now because I have wanted to do it for years? Yes!” Lex let the words come out in a rush before he could stop him self.

Chloe eyes widen and she didn’t hear anything but what he said about the kiss. “For years?” She said confused trying to get at what he meant.

“You want me to tell you everything and be honest with you because you deserver it then this is the truth Chloe. This is all of it.” Lex pressed her against him still holding on to her arms.

“I’ll show you the truth.” He captured her lips again pushing his mouth it hers hard. He fought his way into her mouth and heard her moan.

Chloe didn’t push him away and wasn’t struggling in his arms. Her body became relaxed. She leaned into him letting him into her mouth tasting scotch there thinking it was the sweetest taste she ever had in her mouth. He let go of her arms and allowed Chloe to grab his smooth bald head pushing him closer to her making the kiss deeper.

Lex wasn’t thinking and he didn’t want to think about it or over analyze what was happening. He wanted Chloe like this in his arms and he wasn’t going to stop. He grabbed the soft flesh of her arms pushing her in to his groin using her center to tease the growing arousal in his pants.

Chloe tried getting her head around what was happening but she was swimming in Lex's lips, his hands on her ass, and his cock started to swell between them. She wanted this and didn’t want to admit that she wanted him to do what he wanted to her right now.

Chloe pulled away from his lips looking at his flushed face ready to accept what he was showering her. “Take me to your bed.”

Part 4 … You tell me

I love when Lex looses control. There is something about a strong,composed modern man just being overpowered by his emotions. Plus it is ALWAYS good to hear that the real reason Lex is interested in Lana is to use her [ and I know how awful that sounds but just the thought of them together makes me see red]. I'm looking forward to the smut, and I hope that once morning comes Lex and Chloe won't go back to denial and realize once and for all how perfec they are for eachother. Afterwards the only problems left will be the fact that, there is no way Lana will believe that Lex isn't in love with her, and of course Clark with his stupid superpowers.

Holy Cow!!! Great chapter. I loved the arguement between Lex & Chloe. Seemed like they were trying to see who could be the most brutely honest with the other. Can't wait for the next chapter ( smut please :grin3: )

Notes: Thank you for the nice feedback. Everyone seems to be looking forward to the smut so this part is a bit longer and I hope it’s to your liking. Always worried about the smutty parts of stories but here is my shot at it.

Part 4 … You tell me

Nothing seemed clear at this point between the two of them. Chloe can hear Lex close the door behind her, she can see the enormous behind adored in silk bedding in front of her and she can feel Lex warping his arms around her body completely surrounding her but nothing is clear at this point.

It’s obvious to her that this is what she wants. This is the reason she has been so jealous of Lana lately, the reason she’s been so anger with Lex and turning back to comforting old habits pining after Clark. All of it to make her forget and keeps her from processing what she had been really feeling for Lex. She can remember what it was like all those times she wanted him to be with her like this to take her into his arms and hold her closer to him just as he was doing now.

For a few moments Lex can’t seem to make the next move. Chloe wanted to be here in his bedroom and he wasn’t going to say no. The walk there was quite, long and seemed almost never ending as they took the stairs, made the three turns until they reached the room. All he could do at this point was to hold her, take in her scent, and let his mind settle into the fact that in a few moments he would find his release in side Chloe body at last.

After everything that happened and all the lies he continued to tell himself he couldn’t rid his mind of Chloe. His focus on Clark’s secret, using Lana and attempting to locate the spaceship where wall ways to make him forget and to get him to avoid processing what he was really feelings for Chloe.

Chloe leaned back into his chest resting her body flush to his. She had to say something it was like he was waiting for the ok to go ahead and finish what they start in the study. “I’m not a virgin but it’s been a while since…”

“I know” Lex interpreted her lower his mouth to her ear resting against him. “I know about the Olsen boy.”

“How did…” Before she could finish the question she let it go. It had to be around the time Lex found out she was working for Lionel and he would have found it out in passing trying to understand what a kid was doing at the Daily Planet. Part 5 Aftermath

It was getting late and Chloe knew she had to get back to Metropolis but Lex’s bed was far to relaxing not to sleep in but what she didn’t realize was she slept the afternoon away after a another morning tumble with him.

“Doesn’t it matter I thought we where letting this go.”

“Well that logic is ridiculous Chloe. I told you last night Lana means less then nothing to me.” Lex moved to hold her again this time pulling her to him resting her body against his. “Don’t try to find a reason not to go through with this Chloe. I think we’ve waited long enough."

Chloe rested her head in his chest and tears started flowing from her eyes. She moved to look up at him. “Is that what you wanted to tell me yesterday? You wanted to tell me that you sleep with Lana? You wanted to tell me that you were sorry for doing it because I’ll understand Lex.”

Lex couldn’t believe she was doing this. He hadn’t sleep with Lana and it shouldn’t matter if he did or didn't. “I think the question is irrelevant.”

Chloe knows she made a mistake at the mansion just now. That she let her fears take her over and now she may have pushed Lex away for good. “Different how?”

“When you where sick he really wanted to help you. We were looking all over for you and I wanted to stop but Lex just told me I was slowing him down and he dropped me off here then he went looking for you again.” Lana rolled her eyes remember that night. She came to Lex for help but he completely took over and became frantic when Chloe went missing from the medical center.

“Lana why didn't you tell me this sooner.” Chloe wanted to slap her for this. She was hiding everything she needed to know about Lex.

“I don’t know. He gave up talking about you after you stun gunned him. He thought you really hated him.”

“Chloe wait.” Lana called after her. She turned the door opened then looked back at her. “Do you love him?”

“I was just asking because when he told me he didn’t want to see me anymore I ask why and he said it was because he loved you. I tried to throw my self at him but he told me no because he knew it would mean he could never be with you.”

“Lana I don’t agree with any of the choices you made this year but this is the first thing you’ve done right during our entire friendship.” Chloe turned and walked out of the room. She was halfway down the hall and realized she couldn't walk to Smallville and went back to get her car keys.

As she was walking back down the hall a voice called out to her.

“Chloe!” Lex said to her coming from the stairwell. He thought he could give her a day to calm down but minutes after she left he followed after her.

Chloe turned around to face Lex and she ran to him letting him take her into his arms. “I made a mistake. I got spooked.”

“I didn’t sleep with Lana. I just let my pride get in the way of saying it. I should have just answered you.” Lex held on to her settling into the feeling of her body next to his.

“Can we try again? I can’t go back after last night. I love you” Chloe locked her hands around his neck pressing her body into him.

“I can’t go back either.” Lex moved to tilt her face towards him lower his lips to her “I love you too.” He kissed her softly linger over her lips and that was the end of it.

Clark secret was still hanging over them both and it could be forgotten or it could drive a wedge between them. Chloe only had one choice to make and Clark would want her to choose him but for once in Lex’ s life someone was going to choose him. Chloe still had her fears of ending up in a place like her mother but maybe she could keep her self grounded if some one was in her corner. Lex still had his decided density waiting for him but with Chloe maybe he could avoid the evil path is mother warned him about.

In the aftermath of the past five years Lex and Chloe where standing at a cross rounds in their lives and they where going to choose their paths together.
