Summary: Chloe has suffered another head injury that changes her forever. She is reborn a new woman after lying in a coma for months. She no longer confines her self to the role of the nice girl and best friend. Think of the episode Rush without the Chlark and in its place Chlex.

Prologue

Chloe was leaving the Kent farm after spending the evening with Clark. She had done her best to console him about losing Alicia. She was trying to be a good friend in his time of need.

She was getting used to the idea that her friend was alien and had superpowers. She really wanted to tell him that she knew but now wasn’t the time. It infuriated her that he never felt like she could handle the secret after how long they have known each other but she pushed back those feelings and tried to be an understanding friend.

She was driving home faster then normal. There were several articles for the Torch still not finished, math homework that still need to be done, and she really wanted to get home to watch one of her favorite shows on the WB.

She hit the gas in her red beetle and sped up when she glanced at her watch and read that it was 7:59. She reached to turn the radio on and glanced down to set the station.

When her focus was back on the road something flew out of the crops on the left side of her. She slammed down on the breaks and they didn’t work. The roads were slick and her car started to swerve out of control. What ever went past her was gone now.

Chloe tried grabbing at the wheel to get the car under control but she hand no breaks and no power over the steering wheel. She didn’t know who, how, or when but someone tampered with her car. Someone wanted Chloe to crash that night.

The car started heading toward a near by electrical pole. Chloe was powerless to stop the car and hundreds of thoughts ran through her mind. Should she try and jump out before the car hit the pole full speed ahead? Should she try to take the impact and hope her seatbelt held in place and the airbags worked?

Time had run out quickly and Chloe couldn’t make a decision. She was frozen in place as she hurled toward the pole. She couldn’t function she just screamed out just inches away from the electrical pole. She screamed and realized she could die and would never fulfill any of her true desires in life.

The car had slowed some but it was not enough to soften the strength which she hit the pole. Chloe’s car slammed in to the pole and it jerked forward pushing her from her seat.

There was no airbag someone had taken care of that too and for some reason her seat belt couldn’t hold her weight at the force she hit the pole and she was flung out the window of the car.

She screamed and tried to shield her self as she went through the glass. The top of her head hit the pole and then she slammed down on the roof of the car.

The culprit peeked their head out of the corn field and saw her lying limp on the car roof, they smiled, and then ran away in to the night.

Clark flashed in on the scene seconds after the culprit ran off in to the night. He heard Chloe screaming with his super hearing. He lifted Chloe and sped away to Smallville hospital.

Chapter 1 Awaking

Chloe didn’t know it but she had suffered so many head injuries the doctors were shocked she made it out of this one.

They claimed she suffered some brain damage and didn’t know what the out come would be. They had no clue if she would wake up and if she did would she still be the same person she was before the accident.

Her father was by her side. He had to start going back to work again the last week but he slept in the hospital so he could be there if she woke up in the middle of the night.

Clark stopped by once everyday she was in the coma. He and Gabe played cards, talked about the Sharks, or Clark tried to reassure Gabe that if anyone was strong enough to get through something like this it would be Chloe.

Lana stopped by from time to time too but she was to busy trying to get her new boyfriend Jason to fuck her. It was more important then her so called friend in a coma. Even people from Chloe’s classes showed up more then Lana did.

She was in the coma for two months and on the on first day at the start of the third month she woke up.

It was an odd day to wake up. The person at the side of her bed wasn’t one of her regular visitors.

It was early in the morning and her father had already left for work, so it wasn’t him and Clark was probably sound a sleep at this hour.

Chloe felt someone grasping her hand. People held her hand all the time but she didn’t feel any of them expect this one. Then another hand brushed across her check.

She tried to open her eyes but the light was too bright and she had to close them then tried again slowly.

When she finally had them open she focused on Lex standing there with his eyes closed looking like he was holding back tears. She pulled her hand away from him and he jerked back when he realized she was awake.

“Chloe you’re awake!” he yelled and took a few more steps away from her.

“I was in a car crash Lex. I didn’t lose my hearing you don’t have to yell at me.” Chloe woke up irritated. She had no idea why but things started too spring up in her mind she normally pushed back the minute she regain consciousness.

"I’ll get the doctor.” He ran out the room and Chloe tried getting out of the bed.

She remembered that she was driving home from Clark’s and she ran into a pole. She assumed she had hit her head again and was out for a few hours.

She wanted out of the hospital. Her better judgment said to wait for the doctor but something in her was telling to leave and leave now.

She tried to walk out of the room but couldn’t get to far away since she was attached to all those damn hospital wires. She yanked them out and walked out the room.

Lex was back with the doctor “Miss Sullivan please you should be in bed you have been in a coma for months.” The doctor tried to nudge her back into the bed.

Chloe allowed him after what he said. She sat on the bed and then had and out burst when she realized she wasn’t just out a few hours she had been unconscious for months “What the fuck! I have been in a fucking coma.”

Lex was standing in the doorway and his eyes shifted up in surprise at what she said.

Chloe looked at him a sneered “Don’t look like you have never heard the word fuck before.” She looked away from him and tried to process what was happening.

Lex approached her and spoke to her completely in control like he didn’t look so pain to see her in a coma a few moments ago. “Chloe I’ll call your father. He will want to know that you are all right” He left the room and didn’t come back.

The doctors poked at her for hours. They took scans, and ran test, after test. Chloe was getting frustrated she felt fine she wanted to go home. The entire time she was so irritably and she didn’t know why.

While they waited for the test results her father filled her in on what happened. Apparently the police inspected her car and saw that it had been tamper with. This just fueled Chloe’s are already raging temper.

They released her that night after they were satisfied with their results.

Gabe was so overjoyed to have his daughter back. He took her home, and told her he would head out to get her favorite food, he swore up and down that he wouldn’t be gone long, and told her not to even think about school. He kissed her on the forehead and gave her a long hug told her he loved her and headed out.

Chloe took her time getting used to being home. She was glad her dad left her alone for a few minutes she needed to get her emotion in check. She had no desire to call anyone to tell them she was awake. As a first step to settling into life she took a shower.

Chloe was in the shower looking at her self as she rubbed the soap over her body. She washed her hair and felt a bump on her head. She rinsed off turned off the water and stepped out. She caught a glimpse of her self in the mirror.

Chapter 2 Satisfy

It was in the middle of the night when Chloe showed up at the Luthor estate. Her father finally went to sleep and she left. She wanted to leave as soon as she was finished in the bathroom but didn’t want to leave her father. She asked her father how many times he came to see her. Her father told her as far as he knew it was the first time he ever came by the day she woke up.

Chloe pulled up to main entrance in her father’s car and walked toward the door. The security stopped her at the door and paged Lex and after about ten seconds of waiting outside someone showed her to the study.

Chapter 3 Good Morning

Chapter 4 Back to School

“Come on Lex tell me what you know.” Chloe stood up next Lex on the side of the bed waiting to hear what he had to say.

“Sit down I’ll tell you.” Lex nudged her down and Chloe did what he asked this time because she wanted to know. She had to know who tired to kill her.

“Where should I start” he said then sat next to her and paused after he spoke this just irritated Chloe.

“Damnit get on with it. Who tried to kill me!” She jumped into his lap and shook his shoulders.

“Ok stop assaulting me.” Lex grabbed her waist and made her sit still on him. “Do you remember taking your car to the mechanic the weekend before you had the accident?”

Chloe stop wiggling in his lap and waited for him to continue. “That’s where I started looking. Who ever worked on your car did a lot more then just change your oil.”

“Ok. I got more then an oil change. Why didn’t they just set my car to blow up once I started it up if they wanted me dead for sure? They must know that I’m invincible and bombs can’t kill me.” Chloe let out a laugh about being blown up. She already survived one bombing just before Lionel’s trial.

Lex pulled down on her trying to get her to stop laughing. “Chloe it’s not funny. You could have died. I assume they wanted it to look like and accident as much as possible so a car bomb would have tipped off the authorities to foul play.”

Chloe stop laughing for the moment and tried to focus on the matter at hand. “Ok so who hired the guy? I’m sure the mechanic didn’t want me dead.” She pushed closer to him settling in his lap and wrapped her arms around him.

Lex got distracted by her movements and grabbed her ass so he could push her into his groin.

Chloe pulled his hands away. “Focus Lex. We are trying to find my killer. You won’t be fucking me for long if he or she is still out there trying to kill me.”

Lex grunted that he was stopped but put his hands back on her waist and continued with what information he had. "Your right he was just a hired hand. I had some people track down which mechanic at the workshop worked on your car. The first week you were in the coma one of the mechanic’s came into a large sum of money and quit is job then moved out of Smallville. My people assumed that he was the guy. The phone call I just got was about him. They found him in Mexico hiding out and are bringing him back here. Tonight I will go and see him to find out what he knows.”

Chloe was excited now. She was a few steps closer to finding the person who tried to kill her. “I’m going with you meet this guy.”

Lex put her face in hands. “No. I want you to be safe. You’re going to go to school then go home and spend time with your father.” Chloe jumped up out of his lap.

“I’m going with you Lex. Don’t try to tell me what to do. This is about me. They tried to kill me not you.” Chloe started franticly looking for her clothes she wanted out of that room. When she found her jeans and reached for them Lex grabbed her arm.

“I won’t let anything else happen to you Chloe. I love you. I’m going to protect. Let me handle this. I’ll find who did this to you.” Chloe jerked her arm away from him.

She didn’t need someone to protect her. She wasn’t a baby and Lex thinking of her that way made her furious. “Lex you can’t tell me what I can and can not do. I don’t care how much you love me I don’t need you worried about me. You should know better then that by now once my mind is made up it can’t be changed. I’m going with you tonight to meet this guy.”

Lex groaned when she finished and sat back on the bed rubbing his forehead frustrated that he couldn’t control her.

Chloe found all her clothes tossed around the room and grabbed her overnight bag off the floor next to the night stand. She tried making her way to the bathroom and Lex grabbed her again. “Why can’t you just let me protect you? Just trust me with this. You coming with me tonight isn’t going to get us any closer to the killer.”

Chloe notice his expression and he looked so concerned for her and she just didn’t care how he felt. Normally Chloe would have done what Lex told her to after he pleaded with her but ever since the coma she didn’t feel that way anymore. “I understand you think you need to protect me but I am coming with you tonight. I’m not a child I can handle my self. Things will go a lot more smoothly if you just let me help you instead of treating me like a fragile flower. I woke up from a coma I think you know how strong I am. I can handle seeing you beat the shit out of some guy for information.”

He let go of her and backed away. “Beating this guy up may just be the start of what I’m willing to do to get the information he has. If you think you can handle that then fine you can come with me but at any point I want you out of the room you have to do what I say.”

Chloe shook her head no then stepped towards Lex. “It’s not working that way. I want to be there the entire time. Lex you have to start settling into the fact that I’m more of your equal then you think.” Chloe didn’t let him protest anymore and walked into the bathroom slamming the door shut and locking it.

Lex started banging on the door. “Chloe open the door. We are not finished.”

She just ignored him and took her shower. She blew her hair dry then pulled a little jean skirt out of her bag and a skimpy black top along with it. She bought this shirt and shoved to the bottom of her closet thinking it was just too sexy for someone like her but now seemed just right.

As far a under garments Chloe was wearing a bra but had no need for panties which would work to her advantage later on that day. Chloe was furious to see what a mess the place was in and Lana was doing nothing but fueling her anger. She slammed the door shut trying to get Lana's attention away from the computer.

Lana jumped and a huge smile went across her face when she saw Chloe. “Chloe. It’s so great to see you. Everyone has been worried sick about you since you didn’t want any visitors the past few weeks you have been awake.” Lana ran over to her while talking and embraced Chloe.

She did her best not to throw up all over Lana knowing full well she didn’t like her and didn’t care if she woke up or not. Her father already told her that Lana rarely came to see her.

Chloe squirmed away from the hug then walked over to her desk look over what she was working on. “So what are you working on? Have you been helping Clark with the issues?”

“Yes I have been working really hard trying to fill your shoes.” Chloe let out a laugh after what she said. There was no way Lana Lang could ever fill her shoes. “What’s so funny? I know that some of the articles may not be as well written as yours but I have been working really hard.”

Chloe paused for a moment to gauge Lana’s reaction. She could tell she was less then please so she kept going. “Why are you even here? Since when are you interested in journalism? I know I know. You wanted to be closer to Clark and you thought that by acting like me you could do that.”

Lana tried to open her mouth to cut in but Chloe kept going before she could. “I don’t see why you kept chasing Clark. Don’t you have a boyfriend already? Is Jason not giving you what you need. You should really invest in a vibrator if you’re that horny Lana.”

School seemed to be never ending. People were happy to see her and Chloe tried to be as nice to them as possible. Lana steered clear of her when ever she saw her in the hall and somehow she managed to avoid talking to Clark. Chloe snickered under her breath. She knew he would be up set but this was better then she would have expected. “Calm down Lex nothing is going on.” Chloe tried not to laugh at him and went back over to her desk.

“Why was the door locked?” Clark let go of his icy stare on Lex and turned to Chloe.

“The door was closed when I got here so when I walked in I closed it back. It must have accidentally locked somehow.” Lex moved toward the door trying to squirm out of this mess.

“Clark I can’t talk with you now like I said I wanted to but can I meet you in your barn later on tonight?”

Clark eyed Lex again still trying to wrap his mind around the situation but was just to slow to figure it out.

“Ok Chloe. Just give me a call before you stop by. It’s really great to have you back.” He gave her long hung and Chloe made a show of it knowing Lex was watching. Chloe pulled back from the hug and he walked out keeping his eye on Lex until he was gone.

“Now that you had your fun are you ready to go.” Lex looked less then pleased with Chloe and she just had to laugh.

Chapter 6 Good Night

Chloe kicked screamed all the way up to the bedroom. Lex wanted to get back at her but she wouldn’t give in as easily as he thought she would.

Chapter 7 Plan

Chapter 8 Save Me

Chloe woke up on a bed she didn’t know. Her hands and legs were bound and it wasn’t the fun bondage she was use to with Lex.

Jason took one of the rods for the fire place and placed it in the fire. “Tell us what we want to know.” Jason pulled the rod out and it was red hot.

Chloe tried to sit up on the sofa. Once she was up Helen was standing in front of her holding a gun. “This is the real thing this time don’t try anything little girl.”

Chloe shut up this time feeling what they did to her shoulder. She knew they weren’t playing around they had no qualms about killing her.

She looked over at Lex and Jason and they were opening the vault. This wasn’t going to work she keep thinking. Once they had what they wanted they could just kill her anyway.

Jason and Lex went into the vault. “Mother! I have it.” Jason walked out handing the stone to his mother.

“Give it to me.” Genevieve snatched the element from him.

“You have what you want now leave.” Lex said leaving the vault behind Jason

“Nothing is ever that easy Lex.” Helen smirked at Chloe and cocked the gun.

Lex tried to run to Chloe but Jason stopped her. “No, no! We still aren’t done with you Luthor.”

“That’s right. There are still two other elements and we want them.” Genevieve held the element up showing it to Lex. “I will have the power.”

“You still have to lose something just like you made me lose everything. I was respected doctor and getting involved with you took away my entire life.” Helen pointed the gun at her determined to shoot. “Now it’s your turn to lose something.”

In a flash Chloe saw everything like she did when she crashed but this time instead of not having what she wanted she would be losing everything she had. Her life was finally going the way she wanted and she was about to lose it all.

Chloe’s eyes were right on Helen and she fired the gun. Just when she thought she was going die something stopped the bullet.

Chapter 9 Exposed

Just as the gun went off someone stopped the bullet. In a flash Helen was tossed back and Chloe felt someone pick her up.

She tried to say something but everything was happening to fast. Once she was able to focus she was out of the mansion at the entrance. Clark was undoing the ropes on her arms.

“Are you ok? What is going on? Why is Helen in there shooting at you?” Clark was checking Chloe over looked at the burn on her shoulder. “I’ll get you to the hospital.”

Chloe’s shoulder was in pain but the only thing on her mind was Lex being held hostage.

“We have to save Lex.” She stood up and started to run back into the mansion but Clark ran in front of her. “No, he brought this on himself and somehow he dragged you in on it.”

“Clark you have to help me. I can’t let them hurt him.” Chloe pleaded with him. “He needs help who cares what he got me into.”

They were talking in the hall and Chloe heard a gun go off and the bullet was stopped by Clark. It beaded off of him like it was nothing.

“What the fuck!” Jason yelled and shot the gun again. Clark super sped to Jason, stopped the second bullet, and then pushed him across the hallway.

While Clark was taking care of Jason Chloe ran for the study. She was just at the door and felt Clark speed past her into the room. Once she was in the doorway she saw Genevieve and Helen both knocked out in front of the fireplace and Lex was lying on his back on the floor in front of his desk.

Chloe ran to him and checked over him making sure he wasn’t shot. She reached behind him and undid the ropes. “Lex! Wake up! Please wake up!” She shook him trying to get a responds out of him. “You copy cat you can’t pull off a coma like me. Wake up!”

The nurse finished putting the bandages on her then explained how to clean and take care of the burn. “Now you can use the phone.” She said in a sarcastic tone and walked out of the room.

Chloe jerked up out of the bed heading for the phone hanging on the wall next to the door leading out of the room.

She started to call Lex’s mansion and heard his voice coming from the door way. “How the hell did you get here Chloe?”

“Did you get them?” Chloe jumped up at him happy to see he is ok but more interested in vengeance. Lex was still in his sweaty bloody shirt and didn't look pleased.

“Yes I have them. They are locked away. Now tell me how the hell you got here.” Lex wrapped his arms around her.

Chloe clapped her hands and grinned with delight. “Are they tied up? Where did you put them? Are they in the mansion?”

“Let me be concerned for you for a second. You were almost shot then disappeared on me.” Lex put her face in his hands. “I thought I lost you again.”

Chloe tried to calm her excitement for a moment to comfort Lex. She had put him through a lot the past few months. Chloe put his arms back around her waist. She knew she’s wasn't at her sexist with messy hair, dirty clothes, and a bloody shirt but she can still work him over.

“They are locked away in the cellar. You can do whatever you want to them.” Lex grabbed the sides of her hips and brought her close to him.

Chloe leaned in close to him about to claim his lips. “Whatever I want?”

Lex leaned in slightly closer to her. “Whatever you want. After you tell me what happened.”

Chloe licked his lips first surprising him and he let out a little grunt then kissed her. While they are kissing Clark come back into the room.

“What are you doing? Get off her.” Clark tossed Lex aside and Chloe stumbled back. “I knew something was going on. I knew something happened in the Torch office.”

Chloe let out a snicker. “Yes Clark you found us out. Now get out of my way so we can leave.”

“No!” Clark shrieked losing control of his voice standing in Chloe’s way of the door. “You’re not leaving with him. It’s his fault you are here now.”

Lex got his balance back and stood behind Chloe. “How do you know anything about what’s going on? Just get out of the way Clark.”

“No you got her hurt I won’t let you take her anywhere.” Clark was staring Lex down and it looked like this could last all day.

Chloe didn't have time for this. Her revenge was waiting for her in the cellar. She had to get Clark out of the way. “Look Clark I will explain everything to you later.”

She tried to lower her voice looking into his eyes. “You trust me don’t you Clark?”

“Of course I trust you Chloe but I don’t think you know what you are doing with Lex.”

Chloe pushed past Clark. “I know what I am doing. I’ll call you if I need you again.” She knew he wouldn't try to make her stay by force no matter how angry he was about what he just saw.

Lex gave Clark a smirk and walked out behind her then called out to her once he clear of him. “Need him again? Again for what?”

“I want to see them first.” Chloe and Lex enter the mansion and Chloe was impatient dying to see Helen, Jason and Genevieve all tied up ready for her.

She had to see them for her self.

“Let’s take a shower first then you can see them.” Lex grabbed her pulling her close to him.

Chloe knew he wants more then just a shower. “You didn’t lose me. We can have sex anytime. I want to see them first.”

“Fine you see them, we get cleaned up” He captured her ass in his hands pressing her closer to him sneering at her.

“Then you tell me what happened and how you ended up in the hospital with Clark.” Lex took her hand and lead her to the cellar where Helen, Jason and Genevieve were being held.

Chloe walked into the storage cellar full of old antiques expecting to see them gagged and bound but there were only empty shackles and tape on the floor.

“Shit!” She screamed and Lex walked in behind her.

He saw the remnants of their hostage’s presence. “Lionel” he grunted out gritting his teeth.

Just as Lex said his father’s name he was behind them at the cellar door. “You called son.”

Chloe turned to him looking smug and pleased with himself and she knew he let them out. Lionel didn't have to say anything she knew he set her killers free.

She lunged at him grabbing his shirt collar. “Son of bitch you let them go.”

“Language Miss Sullivan.” Lionel gasped and pushed her back.

Chloe stumbled losing her footing and Lex caught her. “Tell me you didn’t let them go dad.”

Lionel huffed out a breath and quirked up the side of his mouth. “Of course I let them go. Genevieve is an old friend. I saw you dragging them down here and I was bored. Oh and your staff they aren’t the brightest bunch of hired hands. They should know better then to take a bribe from a poor man.”

Chloe could kill Lionel for doing this but before she could do anything Lex took hold of him pushing him into the cellar.

“I think its time I put you away dad.” Lionel struggled with him but it was no use. Lex grabbed him and dragged him to the center of cellar. “The shackles Chloe!”

Chloe jumped into action and ran over to pick up the set of chains wrapped around a pillar in the center of the room. Lex pulled his father to her and she was ready to lock him in place. They secured him to the pillar and started to walk out.

“Son you can’t leave me in here indefinitely.” Lionel called out to them.

Lex looked back at him. “You said you were bored so here’s a challenge. Try and find a way out.”

Chloe turned her attention to Lionel seeing him strapped down like a dog. She was trying hold back her laughter letting her shoulders shrug chuckling to herself.

“God damnit Lex I’m you father. You can’t…”

“Mr. Luthor!” Chloe cut in standing at the door with Lex behind her both of them ready to close the door on him. “Language Mr. Luthor.”

She slammed the door shut and Lex reached to lock it with the key he used to open the cellar when they first came down. They could hear Lionel screaming after them but they had more pressing matters to take care of. Three of them in fact.

Chloe can’t believe that they are gone. They had them and now they were gone again. “What are we going to do Lex?”

Lex started to walk up the stairs leading out of the lower floor they were on. “I have to make a few phone calls they couldn’t have gotten far without leaving a trail.”

Chloe stopped him when they reached the top of the stairs grabbing his arm. “Clark can help us.”

Lex pulled her to him pressing her against his body. “How the hell is Clark going to help us?

“Clark is going to help us find them.” Chloe looked at Lex and saw he was confused and couldn't believe he hadn't figured out Clark’s secret yet.

Chloe had a long day. Almost getting killed all the time can be exhausting. She pulled herself together preparing to go on the hunt for her killers and the fastest way to find them involved Clark.

She wrapped her arms around Lex’s neck and gave him a grin. “I guess it’s time to tell you that secret.”

Chapter 10 Hide and Seek

Chloe was in the Lex’s bathroom washing her hair in the shower. It was near impossible to do it with one hand because she couldn't raise her burned shoulder high enough to wash her hair without being in a great deal of pain.

‘Damn Lionel let them go…’ she said to her self. ‘…now I have to start from starch’. Then she smiled to her self remembering he was locked away so he couldn’t cause anymore trouble.

Chloe closed her eyes put her head directly under the water to get the shampoo out. She didn’t hear Lex come in but she felt his hands in her hair. Chloe opened her eyes and he was naked standing in front of her.

“So? Are we at square one?” Chloe dropped her hand from her hair and let Lex finish washer it for her.

“They took a flight to small island some where in Caribbean. So my people are pinpointing their exact location then I will move in and retrieve them.” Lex slid his hands from her hair down her neck, to her shoulders, to her hips jerking her closer to him.

“You mean we well go and get them.” Chloe picked up the soap in the dish next to them and started to lather it up in her hands.

“I’m not arguing with you this time so pack a bathing suit.”

Chloe dialed Clark’s number and waited for him to answer. Before he could say hello she started yelling into the phone franticly. “Clark I need you get to mansion now in the study please their coming. Please help, Lex is gone. She’s going to kill….” Chloe stoped the call short.

She grined to herself and knew Clark will speed in at anytime. “Look down not at me.”

Lex shook his head at her and looked over the railing “This is not going to work Chloe. He’s not going to just show up here like a speeding bullet...” Just as Lex was about finish he saw Clark zoom into the study only seconds after Chloe called.

“Chloe! Where are you! Chloe!” Clark called out to her hysterical halting to a stop in the middle of the study.

“What the fuck!” Lex shouted looking down at Clark then his mouth was hung open in shock.

Chloe giggled to her self knowing this would be fun but didn’t think she’d ever see Lex with his mouth wide open and not have her be on the other end of it. “Up here Clark?”

Chloe told Lex about Clark’s powers and how he saved them that day. Lex couldn’t believe it unless he saw it for him self so she had to show him.

Clark looked up and to them and his eyes widen when realized what he just did. “Chloe what’s going one.”

Chloe looked over at Lex still standing there with his mouth wide open. “Now you believe me?”

Lex shook his head no. “I knew but… I wasn’t expecting.” He was still stunned and Chloe didn’t think Lex could be shaken up so much.

Chloe started walk down to Clark frozen in place. “I think it’s time you explain how you do the things you do Clark.”

She back and Lex had finally shook him self out it and started to head down to the study floor behind Chloe.

“Chloe what’s going on?” Clark walked towards the stairs then backed away once he saw the lead box she was holding.

“I think she asked you first Clark.” Lex took a few steps to set down on the first leather arm chair in front him. Chloe could see him processing all of it. When she said it he believed her but seeing Clark use his abilities was entirely different.

She stood in front of Clark clutching the box in her hands wonder if her theory was right. Inside the box was meteor rock and Clark had always been weary of being around them even Lex recalled Clark stepping away from them whenever he was close to one. Chloe just thought he was a meteor freak but there was something else there and maybe the meteor rocks were just the start to what Clark really was.

Clark was staring at the box in her hand and she was going test her theory. Chloe held out the box in front of her and showed the green meteor rock to Clark. He immediately slumped over on the ground.

“Chloe stop!” Clark said putting his hands up but failing to hold it in place.

Lex turned in his seat to look at them. “I guess your theory has now been proven.” He got up from his seat and stood over Clark. “Are you ready to answer now Clark?”

Chloe let a soon becoming familiar grin go across her face. Everyone had and Achilles heel even Clark Kent. She closed the box and Clark shot up in place.

He backed away from the two of them. “Chloe how did you know about the meteor rocks?”

Lex took the box from Chloe and opened it again dropping Clark to floor again. “I can’t believe you lied to me all this time. What the hell are you?”

Chloe stood back and let Lex take over. She looked over at her friend and didn’t recognize him. It was obvious that he was more then just a meteor freak.

Clark cradled in toe the fetal position trying to speak. “Please close the box. I’ll tell you.”

Lex was about to close the box but Chloe stopped him. “No funny business Clark. I need your help are you going to help me.”

Clark could only nod at her trying to find relief coiling his body into a ball. She let the lid fall down and he sprung up again.

“Whenever you ready Clark.” Lex stepped back away from and looked like he was calm but Chloe knew better. He was plotting things the moment she told him about Clarks’ abilities. Plotting things for his own personal gain and now that he knew what his vulnerability was it was going to make things much easier for him.

Clark looked so scared of them and Chloe was enjoying this more then she thought she would. She couldn’t wait to get revenge on her attackers. If torturing Clark was this much fun then all she could do was image the possibilities of what was to come for Jason, Genevieve, and Helen.

Clark took a deep breath and started his long speech about who he was, where he came from, what meteor rocks really were, what is other abilities were and finally begging both of them not to tell anyone.

Chloe and Lex were sitting on the leather sofa adjacent to the arm chair Clark was in. The entire time he spoke they didn’t interrupt. It was like Clark was in confession with a priest but instead of feeling better afterwards Clark looked like he felt worse.

Chloe went over what was going on with her and the Teagues and how Helen found her way into the mix as well. She told him ask much as she could with out giving away any information on the stone Lex retrieved from Genevieve before he locked them away in basement. Lex didn’t want Clark to know yet, she knew Lex had other plans now that he the truth.

Chloe was holding the lead box in her lap and smoothed her hand over it. She thought about everything Clark said and knew this story would make her the famous reporter she wanted to be but knew keeping the story was better leverage then giving it away.

“Ok Clark we will keep the secret as long as you help us.” Chloe turned to Lex and he didn’t look pleased with what she said.

“I’m not making any promises.” Lex said staring Clark down like he was seeing him for the first time.

Clark swallowed hard at Lex’s words. “Chloe you know I will help you but I don’t understand what it is you want me to do.” Clark said trying to wrap his little brain around what was going on.

“I have to get Jason, Genevieve, and Helen back Clark. I can’t think of a better person to help me do it quickly other then you. If you back out on me then I will have to tell the entire world about what you really are. If you refuse we well get them eventually but your secret won’t be safe.” Chloe smirked at him waiting for an answer.

“I don’t want anything to happen to Chloe. If they are trying to hurt you then I’ll help.” Clark squirmed in his seat and seemed unsure about his choice. Just as Lex was about to speak the phone rang.

Chloe jumped up from her seat. “This is it I know it.”

Lex went to pick up the phone and had a quick confession with who ever it was on the other end. He hung up the phone and turned back to them “We have a location. They are covered in security now just like I thought they would be. Looks like Clark will come in handy after all. The jet as been on stand by since I was told they were in the Caribbean so let’s go.”

Chloe jumped up from her chair. Lex walked out of the room ahead of her and Clark stopped her before she could catch up to them.

“Chloe I really don’t understand all this. You are with Lex, people are trying to kill you, and you told Lex my secret. I don’t know who you are anymore. I don’t even know what you plan to do to them once you get them?”

Chloe grinned at Clark and knew the answer to the question she knew it the minute she found out someone tried to kill her that night she crashed. “I’m going torture and kill them Clark.”

She walked away from him settled with her choice. Chloe has been burned time and time again. Put in coma and left for dead but she rouse up like a phoenix from the ashes of her former self. She awakened the person she was always meant to be.

Chapter 11 Sweet Revenge

“Damn wind.” Chloe said looking at her hair in the airport bathroom.

They landed in Nassau about fifthteen minutes ago and now they were heading over to one of the Turks and Caicos Islands in a small sea plane.

Lex’s source told him that a house on the island was being occupied temporally by Jason, his mother and his gold digging girlfriend. The place had several armed guards and no one was getting in or out of the place.

Chloe tried to smooth her hair down after the gust of wind blew it back once they got of the Luthor Corp jet. Everything was happening so fast and this last plane ride would bring Chloe one final step closer to her revenge.

She walked out of the airport bathroom and headed outside to the car waiting to take them to the seaplane. When she got in the limo Lex and Clark seemed to be fighting and suddenly became tight lipped once the door opened and she was let in.

“What were you talking about?” She said scooting closer to Lex locking her arm around his. The entire jet ride Clark kept looking at her like he didn't know her and there were moments when she swore he looked jealous.

Those moments Chloe took great joy in. Clark seeing her happy with Lex was really eating him up and she didn’t care why but she took great pleasure in his discomfort. So she took yet another chance to get under his skin getting closer to Lex while she smirked at Clark gauging his reaction.

“We weren’t talking about anything Chloe.” Clark huffed out a breath of air and turned away from the two of them sitting close in the back seat.

“Sounded like you where to me.” Chloe said looking over at Lex his face a little flushed and he looked like he was fighting. Chloe knew the look since it was one she saw often.

Lex looked down at her and kissed her cheek. “Nothing for you to worry about. Are you ready to go?” Lex was holding the lead box with what they now called kryptonite as insurance. If Clark was going to get out of line they would put him in his place.

“Fine don’t tell me about it. I’ll find out soon enough.” Chloe leaned up to kiss the side of Lex’s mouth and she could see Clark turn away out of the corner of her eye getting more uncomfortable the closer her lips got to Lex. She softly kissed Lex’s and heard Clark let out another puff of air.

Chloe sat back in her seat grinning at her so called friend’s reaction to her affection for another man. “Now I’m ready to go.” She said and Lex signaled the driver and they were off to the seaplane.

Sweet revenge awaited her. Two months of her life lost because of them and she was going get her pay back.

They reached the compound and the house was amazing. “When the Teagues have to hide they do it with style. “ Chloe said as the SVU that picked them up after they landed pulled up a few miles up the rode from the house.

“To bad this house is going to turn into their grave.” Chloe said getting out of the car behind Clark who looked back at her with concern in his eyes.

Chloe knew she had shaken him up at the mansion when she answered his question. It was what she wanted and nothing was going to keep her from getting rid of them for trying to kill her.

Behind them were two other SUVs and six men got of the cars, they were the biggest men Chloe had ever seen. The hired hands started to prep them selves to go in and Lex approached the designated leader of the group. He gave him some instruction and walked back to stand with her and Clark.

“We aren’t moving in people until we get the signal.” Lex said to all the hired hands behind him. He was still holding the lead box and seemed to be a life line to him since he found out the power it possessed over Clark.

Chloe was standing in between Lex and Clark on the side of the dirt rode leading up to the house. She turned to Clark and patted his shoulder. “Show time Kent.”

“You know what to do Clark. Once you have all of the men in the house taken care of I want you to come back and tell us it’s ok to go in.” Lex gripping the box tighter and look tense like he wasn't sure about doing this anymore.

Clark looked down at all the men waiting to go in after him loading guns and putting on bullet proof vest. He turned and moved away from them huddling Chloe and Lex closer to him.

“I can’t use my abilities in front of all these people. Not to mention Jason already saw me use my powers saving you two the other day.” Clark tried to keep his voice at a whisper.

“Oh shut up Clark and just do it.” Chloe said getting impatient not understanding why he always thought about himself first. "Jason won't live to tell anyone your secret ."

Lex looked over at her and his body seemed to stiff up like a rod. Chloe didn’t know what he was so worried about since Clark was going to take care of things then they could move in.

“Clark these men are paid to keep things like this to them selves. You could use some discretion. They won’t know a thing. Besides it’s really not them you should be worried about telling your secret to the world if you don’t get in there right now.” Lex gripped down on the box staring Clark down.

It was a stand still for a few moments and Chloe had to break this up again. “Get going farm boy we are losing the light and we don’t have all day for you to think about it.” She gave him a shove towards the house. "Get going."

Clark looked at them and at the lead box. Chloe knew his choices were few and he would have to do what they wanted. Clark left them and sprinted up to the house slowly. Chloe watched and knew this wouldn’t take long at all.

There was some rapid gun fire and a few screams coming from the house then moments later Clark was slowly sprinting back down to them.

“There in the first room of the house. There are three men at the front, three in the back, and two where in the house.” Clark looked like he committed a crime. His appearance didn’t resemble at all the noises they heard coming from the house. He was still in his flannel and didn't have a scratch on him.

“Let’s go” Lex said looking back at the men waiting to get inside. “Chloe are you sure you’re ready for this?” Lex took her hand and it was an unnecessary question.

“You said let’s go so let’s go.” Chloe walked ahead with the rest of the hired men. Clark and Lex followed behind her and tried to keep up.

Once they reached the front door of the house she saw what happened. The three guards in the front where knocked out by Clark and there guns bent in half. Some of Lex’s men were tying them up grouping them together. They didn’t question what happened or even speak while they worked.

She walked into the house and the two guards Clark spoke of where also knocked out on the floor. Lex's men where taking care of them as well. Chloe went through the big entry way of the expensive beach house and heard muffled cries coming from the room ahead. She tried to open the doors but couldn’t.

She looked back to see Clark and Lex standing behind her. “Well Clark open the damn door.”

Clark sighed and pulled the door from its hinges. “I had to lock them in some how so I…”

“I don’t need to know all that.” Chloe didn't care what he did just that he did it.

Once the door was gone there they were huddled to together tide up with a bed sheet and their mouths gagged with pillow cases. Chloe laughed out loud wondering why Clark choose a sheet but it appeared to work.

“How's it going? Thought you'd get away.” Chloe said to them chocking on her laughter knowing they couldn’t answer her. Lex walked in front of her and looked them over.

They were dressed for island living but now their time in paradise had come to and end. Two guards came in and started to take care of them by first undoing the sheets then they were handcuffed.

“So where are we taking them.” Chloe walked to stand next to Lex looking at the guards work. She looked in his direction and he looked miles away.

Lex took a few steps forward. “Clark you know what to do.” He said with his backed now turned to Chloe.She had no idea what he was talking about but before she could do anything Clark grabbed her arms.

“Get off me Clark. Lex do something.” Chloe struggled and tried to break free from him.

“Chloe stop.” Lex said turning to look at her reaching to hold her face in his hands. “Clark told me what you said I can’t let you cross this line. The police are coming to pick them up.”

“What! No! This is what you where talking about when I was in the bathroom.” Chloe shook her self away from Lex's hold on her. He was betraying her and using Clark to do it.

Lex grabbed her face again. “This isn’t you. You’re not ready for something like this Chloe.”

“You promised me Lex. Don’t do this.” She wanted to hit him, kick him, to do anything to him for what he was doing to her.

“I know you’re up set now but you will thank me for this later Chloe. You’re not a murderer and I won’t let you turn into one.”

“Don’t tell me who I’m. I know what I want and you wanted it too now your turning your back on it... On me!” Chloe kept struggling but Clark so much stronger then her. “Clark get the fuck off of me!”

This wasn’t going right, this wasn’t how it was suppose to be. Lex told her she could do whatever she wanted and now he was taking it back because of his need to protect her from everything.

“Listen to him Chloe. Lex is right.” Clark tightened his grip on her to keep her still.

“I didn’t want to do it this way but they will be punished for what they did Chloe just not by you. Their going to jail. I promise to make sure they pay for what they did.” Lex turned away from her and one of the hired hands gave him a damp cloth.

Chloe could feel her self reaching a point where she could be going to far but this wasn’t it. “Don’t do this Lex please” she pleaded but it was no use, he put the cloth over her mouth.

“Clark will take care of you and I’ll see you soon.” Lex said.

“No, No, I hate you, no…” She trailed over screamed at him in the cloth looking Lex right in the eye not believing he would do this to her.

She winced in Clark’s arms while shaking her head trying not to breath in the fumes from the cloth but it was no use whatever was on the cloth was slowly putting her to sleep.

“I love you Chloe.” Lex said.

After he spoke Chloe faded into unconsciousness.

Chapter 12 Second Awaking

Chloe opened her eyes slowly. Her head was throbbing and every inch of her felt heavy almost sinking into the bed she was lying in. As she slowly opened her eyes she could hear her father.

“I don’t think so Clark. They should have traded for a kicker the Sharks are having serious trouble this season in that area.” Gabe said.

Chloe turned in her bed and looked toward the sound of her father's voice followed by what sounded like Clark.

“You’re right Mr. Sullivan. They are really having trouble this year but they did get a great new defensive line man.” Clark replied to Gabe.

Chloe eyes opened finally and focused on her father and Clark sitting watching the hospital room television.

She looked down at her self and she was in a hospital gown attached to wires hooked up to monitors. This wasn’t right she was supposed to be in the Caribbean. Lex just betrayed and now he was no where to be seen.

Chloe tried speaking but her voice appeared too be gone and it took her several tries to finally get something out. “Where is Lex?”

Clark and Gabe both clued to the game on television were now staring at her in disbelief. “Chloe honey.” Gabe said to her speeding over to take her into his arms. “I thought we lost you this time but I knew you would come out of it.”

Chloe hugged her father still dazed as to what was happening. “What’s going on what I’m I doing here? Where is Lex? Clark where did you take me?”

Clark walked over to the other side of the bed and her father released her so she could put her attention on Clark. “You where in a car crash and…”

“I know that already!” Chloe yelled at him feeling like something was off. Something wasn’t right. “We had them Clark and you Lex betrayed me now where is he?”

“What are you talking about Chloe you have been here in Smallville for the past two months” Clark took her hand smiling at her. “But now your back.”

“He’s right sweetheart. The doctor said they may be some memory loss that has to be what you’re feeling right now.”

Chloe jumped up from the bed and yanked the wires off of her. This wasn’t right she woke up weeks ago and was on heels of her killers. This had to be Lex’s doing. He was trying to make it seem like nothing happen and once again he was trying to protect her.

“Where is Lex Clark? We where in the Caribbean. I know you remember.” Chloe grabbed his flannel collar trying to make him tell the truth.

“Chloe calm down. Lex has never been here to see you while you where in your coma.” Clark took her hands off him. “Are you ok?”

Gabe walked around to the bed to his daughter and turned her to him. “The doctor said that you could be dreaming while in your coma. You have to be talking about a dream you had of being in the Caribbean”

Chloe ripped away from her father. “No, it wasn’t a dream. It was real I know it was. I finally told Lana off, I tried to seduce Jason, I have been living with and sleeping with Lex the past three weeks, and I shot a guy, that is what happened that is real it wasn’t a dream.”

Chloe looked at them both stunned at her omission. Clark approached her slowly his voice lowered like she would explode if he didn’t do this gently. “Chloe none of that happened. Calm down and let me go get a doctor.”

Chloe interrupted him. “How the hell did you get them to do that?”

Chapter 13 Choice

“A young girl residing in Smallville will testify again in a major trial …” Chloe was reading the morning edition of the Daily Planet.

She was sitting in Lex’s study enjoying his company on a Saturday morning. It was two weeks since they retuned from the Caribbean.

She continued to read aloud thinking Lex was reading along with her and she opened the paper to the rest of the article. “Young girl survived a car crash and kidnapping…” Chloe continued to read and Lex started to laugh.

“What’s so funny?” Chloe wiggled in his lap closing the newspaper.

“I was reading the political satire comic.” Lex said tightening his grip on Chloe’s waist.

“I thought we were reading it together?” Chloe opened the paper back up to finish the article.

Lex took the paper from her and tossed it to the coffee table. “I think you’ve read enough.”

After she woke up from her coma Chloe wanted a lot of things but stepping into the roll of a killer wasn’t one of those things. Someday she may be forced to do something to protect her self but premeditated murder wasn’t a line she was ready to cross. Her revenge could be satisfied in other ways.

“I can’t wait to see them in their orange jump suits.” Chloe reached over Lex’s head leaning him back down to her breast. The trial date was set and Lex seemed worried that she would be placed in danger so she would be going into hiding soon. Once again her life would be placed on hold because of her involvement with the Luthor family.

“How is your father doing in his cage?” Chloe started to pull Lex’s black t-shirt up puling it over his head.
