Mid- June. Swelteringly hot summer days spent on a small island off the coast of Thailand. The white sands of the untouched east were blinding. Chloe and Lex’s honeymoon. Far away from anyone.

Lex was drying himself off with a towel. He smirked and spoke quietly but intensionally

“Yes I fucking can!” She yelled “And if you don’t stop with this it’ll happen for real, Luther!” With that she flopped her head down on the sand once more. He picked up the crab he found in the sea and carefully edged closer towards Chloe, casting a shadow over her
‘Ha’ thought Chloe. Her eyes were closed but she could sense his shadow. ‘He’s coming over to aplogoise, well it wont work’

“You’ll need to sleep with one eye open tonight” She growled up at him. He just smirked suavely and raised an eyebrow
“Well” he started “My point is that I’ll need to anyway to anticipate your move…” he flicked at her nose with his index finger “…with me”
He tilted his head to the side and blinked his eyes sweetly. Chloe puffed out her breath angrily at him and realised she was going to have to get this thing off herself. She grimaced as she slowly moved her hand next to it and then with one swift movement she brushed the crab off towards Lex
It scuttered towards him. Lex darted out of the way and was laughing madly at Chloe. She was about to kill him
“Oh shit” Lex said bluntly and ran for the sea. Chloe yelled in anger and scrambled after him
Later that night Chloe had built a campfire on the beach and was sitting against it, wrapping a towel around herself. Thailand at night was beautiful, Lex was just about to return with two mugs of coffee from the hut. She hugged herself.
The argument had gone too far. Now neither one of them would so much as touch. Chloe was wearing a pink flower in her hair that Lex had found next to a waterfall in the forest. It was large and very beautiful, and had a long stem keeping it in place in her hair.
