Disclaimer: I own nothing except some of the plot!

Summary: Lex and Chloe’s life together in the future. Engaged and already in love. Features articles on the couple as seen through the eyes of Adam Fienne, a Daily Planet reporter. Will showcase the lives of Chloe and Lex, as they plan their wedding and get married. Chlex all the way. Minor Clois and Plana.

Author’s note: Everyone in this world is happy-there aren’t issues with Clark or Lionel, those will be saved for other stories. Adam Fienne is a gay Daily Planet columnist for the society pages and will be reporting on the Luthor family and extensions thereof-not Lois because she’s family and she just can’t. Clark isn't Superman yet-I feel that Clark becomes Superman when he gets his Daily Planet gig and right now they are only sophomores in college.

Chapter One:

Billionaire Playboy No Longer: Luthor Heir Engaged

Grab those Kleenexes ladies-it looks like the heir to the Luthor fortune, Lex Luthor, 25, has proposed to long time girlfriend, Chloe Sullivan, 20, leaving those gals out there super depressed. The two have been romantically involved since the beginning of her senior year of high school, keeping it a secret until she graduated top of her class. To the non-believers out there, the future Mr. and Mrs. Lex Luthor are very much in love, as their close friends were able to spare a few words:

“As a witness of all of Lex’s doomed marriages and relationships, if you can even call them that, I can honestly say that this time, it’s the real thing-no big conspiracies or forced marriages induced by crazy women, just pure, unadulterated love,” Clark Kent.

“Do you think this will truly last, or is this another one of Mr. Luthor’s attempts at happiness?”
“Honestly, there isn’t anything as a ‘sure thing’ but if anyone’s going to find it, Chloe and Lex will in each other, so yea, I do think they have a great shot at happiness,” Bruce Wayne.

“The two of them are crazy in love-always have been, possibly even from the time they first met in Smallville all those years ago,” Lana Lang-Ross.

Not much is known about the blonde reporter or her relationship with the billionaire, as the young heir to LuthorCorp has made sure to keep his lady-love out of the prying eyes of the media, but from what we can gather, the two are very much in love and Chloe Sullivan is a woman loved by many, even our very own editor, Perry White.

“She takes everything in stride and never once lets things get to her-maybe because she knows what it’s like to be on both sides of the tape recorder. It’s hard not to love her. All I have to say is that Luthor better take care of her, ” Perry White, talking about Ms. Sullivan’s response to the media limelight she occasionally receives.

Rumors have been circulating regarding the size and make of the ring and how Mr. Luthor proposed, but nothing has been confirmed yet. All we know is that there are thousands upon thousands of women that are extremely sad at losing the playboy billionaire, who as shown in the picture below is very much in love with his fiancée. (Picture: Lex and Chloe holding hands while shopping in Metropolis.)

Stay tuned for more coverage on the upcoming nuptials of the two lovers.

Adam Fienne.

~The Penthouse-breakfast time around 7:30 a.m.~

“Lex,” groaned Chloe as she placed the article down on the island in the kitchen of the Metropolis penthouse shared by the two lovers.

“Yea? What’s the matter sweetie,” asked Lex coming into the luxurious kitchen and placing a loving kiss on Chloe’s lips.

“What’s the matter? What’s the matter?!?!?! Can you please explain to me why the whole world now knows that we’re now engaged, even though you only proposed to me last night,” exclaimed an exasperated Chloe, shoving the Daily Planet article in his hands.

Lex scanned the article quickly and then, much to the dismay of his fiancée, chuckled.

“This isn’t funny Lex. Everyone knows now. Didn’t you want to tell them ourselves? Oh God. My dad, I’ve gotta tell him before he reads this. Argh,” sighed a frustrated Chloe, as she began pacing the room, looking for the phone.

“Will you relax,” Lex asked taking her in his arms and enveloping her in a hug. “Besides, he already knows.”

And with the confused look on her face he continued, “I had to ask him for his permission, so last weekend when you couldn’t come with me to Smallville because of your paper, I took the opportunity to go ask Gabe for your hand in marriage.”

“You asked? And he gave it to you, I’m assuming,” Chloe questioned Lex with her hazel eyes.

“Of course I asked. I know he likes me and he has gotten used to us being together, but I didn’t want to be a dead man, so I asked. And of course he gave it to me-no one can resist the Luthor charm,” said a smirking Lex.

“You’re lucky I love you.”

“I love you too.”

She loved this. Having him tell her that he loved her and being the man that no one got to see, not even Clark. He was so caring and loving and most of all, he was hers. She loved this man with all her heart and could not wait to marry him. Picturing their life together, she fantasized the two of them entwined in silk sheets, making love; she could also picture beautiful babies with her eyes and the gingery red curls he had before the meteors fell. She couldn’t wait to be a mother, to give Lex one of the things he wanted most in life. He would a great father, she knew it. He would give his kids whatever they wanted and because of his own relationship with Lionel, he would make sure that they felt loved and that he was there for them no matter what. There would be no European boarding schools or non-affectionate responses-she would make sure of that.

“What are you thinking about,” asked an amused Lex, as he sat there watching her with hooded eyes.

“You,” she responded, biting her lip, knowing it drove him wild, or so he claimed.

“Oh yea, what about me,” he asked getting of the barstool on the island table and stalking his way toward her, eyes hooded with desire.

“Hmm, just that you’d be a great husband and father.”

“Yea? Why don’t I show you how great a husband I can be? Let’s go practice making those babies,” suggested Lex, as he wiggled his eyebrows at her.

“God. You’re impossible...mmm...Lex, stop, I have to run some errands,” she responded unenthusiastically as Lex began to graze her collar bone with his lips, slowly making his way up to her neck and eventually her lips, where she was pulled into a passionate kiss, in which her and Lex’s tongues fought for control.

“I’m...not...stopping...you...go...ahead...leave,” Lex responded placing a kiss on various parts of her face and neck with each word.

She finally gave up, as she felt the unmistakable hardness of his desire and led him into the bedroom, where she would be ravished well into the afternoon.

~The Penthouse-Later in the afternoon around 3:00~

Chloe moaned softly as she rubbed the sleep out of her eyes and turned to see the love of her life, lying contently beside her, wrapped up in the black sheets.

Placing a soft kiss on his pale shoulder, she moved to get out of bed, but found she couldn’t, as strong arms placed a tighter hold around her waist, pulling her closer.

“I know you’re awake now,” chuckled an amused Chloe.

“Yea, but I’m still tired,” groaned Lex, as he moved to tighten his hold on Chloe and place her in his arms, so that he lay on his back, while she rested her head on his chest. “Although, I can’t blame you, we’ve had a few long nights,” drawled Lex, insinuating exactly what naughty things they just took part in this morning and most of last week.

He looked down to see her blush a nice red color and failed to hold back a chuckle.

“You’re so cute when you blush.”

“Thanks,” responded Chloe sarcastically.

Whatever Lex was going to say or do next was cut of by the shrill sounds of his cell phone.

“Luthor,” he answered in his customary way.

“Ah, Lex, I guess congratulations are in due my boy. You’ve done good Lex. She’s a keeper that one. Now, where is my beautiful future daughter in law? I want to congratulate her as well,” spoke the voice of Lionel Luthor.

After he began dating Chloe, things with his father got better. They were in no way, shape or form like the Kent men, but now, they weren’t trying to kill each other or outdo each other. They worked past their problems and although it seemed too good too be true, Lionel had let Lex have his own space, allowing him to do the work he wanted to. And all that was due to the petite blonde cuddled up to his side. God, how he loved this woman.

“For you.”

“Hello,” asked Chloe into the phone.

“Chloe, darling, how are you? Lex been treating you good? Oh, and congratulations by the way. Welcome to the family,” Lionel’s voice came all too rushed from the other end.

“Whoa, slow down Lionel. And thank you.”

“So how did he propose? Was it any good? Did he do it in private like I told him too,” Lionel began firing questions at her yet again.

“Lionel, you sound way too much like a giddy school girl, asking her best friend about a date. Please, stop. Besides, I thought I was the only reporter in the family. Oh and I think Lex is about to die laughing from the image I created with the giddy school girl and then where would I be?”

“Sorry, my dear, it’s just that you are so much better than the filth he used to date and I am so happy he finally proposed. It’s been long overdue. Well, I have to run, why don’t you come over for dinner sometime? And bring that son of mine too.”

“I will. Bye,” responded Chloe, hanging up with her future father in law. “So, what do you wanna do now,” Chloe asked Lex, as she placed the cell phone on her side of the bed. “And no repeats of this morning. I love you and more than anything love making love to you, but if we keep going at it like bunnies, I’ll be dead from being too tired and then where would you be?”

“Fine, have it your way you vixen. How about we go tell our news to everyone back home?”

“Mmm…that sounds good. Let me go get in a quick shower and then we’ll leave.”

“I could join you in there. Ya know, I wash your back, you wash mine-we’ll save time and water,” Lex said, wiggling his eyebrows suggestively.

“Argh, you are impossible,” Chloe exclaimed stepping into the bathroom and shutting the door behind her.

He chuckled as he heard the shower turn on and went to make a few calls.

“Alonzo, hey it’s Lex. How are things outside the building?”

“Oh man there are about a billion reporters here, camped out waiting for you and Chloe to make some sort of an appearance.”

“Crap, I was hoping they’d not be here-you know give us some privacy.”

“Dude, they’re reporters and you are Lex Luthor and that means anything or anyone near you is subject to all this media and spotlight. Although, I must commend you in keeping Chloe out of the media.”

“Yea, you’d be surprised at what I’d do for her. I just don’t want them to make her out to be something she’s not. We’re happy and I don’t want anything to ruin that.”

“Yea, I hear you man. So what are we gonna do? You are leaving right? Isn’t that why you called and asked for the security detail?”

“Chloe wants to go to Smallville for the weekend so I thought we’d leave now, but I guess we’re gonna have to chill here till things cool down.”

“Maybe not,” replied Alonzo slyly.

“Well, whatever you do to get rid of them make sure it’s legal and binding. I need to get my girl out of here before she drives me insane,” Lex said laughing good-humouredly.

“No problem and it is legal, don’t worry. I’ll just let it slip that a recently engaged billionaire was spotted in town with his fiancée shopping for the wedding.”

“Thanks a lot Alonzo, I owe you. Those reporters can be so pesky.”

“I don’t think Chloe would appreciate that-I mean, she’s probably been aspiring to be a reporter since she could talk.”

Lex chuckled at the man’s response before letting him go to ensure that Chloe and he would be met with a quick getaway that didn’t involve any reporters. On the other hand, he wasn’t averse to just staying home with a certain blonde reporter that just finished her shower. Lex sat there, thinking about the blonde spitfire and just how the two came to be.

There she was, happily lying there on one of the comfy couches of the Talon, her head in the lap of her best friend-a best friend that happened to also be his younger half-brother, Lucas. The two friends met in some club in metropolis and hit it off immediately, but unfortunately for them, they never made plans to keep in touch, so imagine both their surprises when Lucas rolled into the small town where Chloe resided. She immediately jumped into Lucas’ arms telling him all about fate and karma and grilling him about how long he was going to be staying in the cow town. The rest is history, as Lucas ended up staying indefinitely with Lex in the Castle and thus, was able to stay in constant contact with Chloe. Jealousy would run rampant in Lex at the thoughts of his brother and the blonde reporter, but then he would remember he shouldn’t be having those thoughts of her in the first place. But then why couldn’t he get the picture of the two of them spooned up in his bed, tangled in the sheets out of his mind? There was no use, he was besotted with the high school senior and determined to make her his.

He thought he might find competition in Lucas for Chloe’s affections and was planning on confronting his brother about his intentions towards Chloe, but unfortunately for him, Lucas had the same ideas.

[Flashback of Lucas confronting Lex]

“Lex, there’s no really easy way to say this, so I’m just going to. Do you like Chloe, you know more than a friend?”

“Why would you say that Lucas,” asked Lex suddenly interested in the papers he was looking at when Lucas barged into the study.

“Cut the bullshit Lex. I’ve seen the way you look at her when you think no one else is, but guess what? I do. You get this stupid ass grin on your face every single time she enters and you pretend not to care, but I know you do. You go through great lengths to make sure she gets home safely or has a fresh cup or two of her almond mocha, a flavor which I might add, you only starting serving once you realized it was her favorite. She’s my best friend Lex and you may be my brother, but you can’t hurt her. I’d never forgive you. So once again, what are your intentions with Chloe?”

“You’re right Lucas, I’m completely enamored with the girl. I tried to tell myself that she was too young or that I was her father’s boss, her best friend’s brother or other best friend’s best friend, but I just can’t anymore. I want her to be mine and I am willing to fight with even you for her,” Lex spoke in a passionate, yet dangerous tone.

“Whoa, no need to bite my head off. I love Chloe Lex, but only as a friend. Besides she has her sights set on a certain person I know and let me tell you, it isn’t the local farm boy Clark, Pete, any other jock or me. So who does that leave” Lucas asked Lex, not caring if he was being a taunting younger brother.

[End flashback-back to the Talon flashback]

‘So predictable,’ thought Lucas, as he spied Chloe and Lex taking small glances at each other.

“You two are so obvious,” Lucas chastised Chloe.

“What are you talking about,” asked Chloe sitting up and then groaning at the loss of comfort.

“You and Lex. It’s obvious you two like each other. Why don’t you go for it and just ask him out?”

“I can’t Lucas.”

“Why not? He likes you I promise.”

“He told you that?”

“I just know,” replied Lucas. He couldn’t just tell Chloe about his brother’s affections, that’d be like breaking some from of trust between the two of them.

“Okay, let’s say he does like me. We can’t go out. I’m just a fregin’ high schooler and he’s this big famous billionaire business tycoon and Lucas…I just…argh, he doesn’t like me okay.”

“Fine, so do you give up on him yet?”

“No, but I need to get my mind off him, maybe find some meteor freak to date and then spend a few days in the hospital. How ‘bout that,” replied Chloe sardonically.

“Umm, or you could let me set you up on a blind date with one of my friends.”

“Ugh fine, I’ll go. He better not try to kill me or anything. Call me with the time and place. I gotta go finish Torch stuff. See ya,” replied Chloe heading out of the Talon.

This was an age-old argument between the two of them, so it was a complete shock to Lucas that she allowed him to set this up. There wasn’t really friend he had in mind, just a certain half-brother of his. It wouldn’t really be a lie. After all, Lex was his friend.

“What are you doing tomorrow night,” asked Lucas to Lex, while sliding into the booth of the local coffee shop.

“Tomorrow,” questioned Lex and at Lucas’ nod replied “Nothing, why?”

“Wrong, you’ve got a date with a certain blonde reporter we all know and love-just set up the time and place,” Lucas replied, sounding confident and yet, on the inside, feeling like he was about to be verbally attacked by his older brother.

“What mean I have a date? What have you done?”

“Look, you two are the most oblivious people in the world and that’s saying something considering the prom queen and the farm boy usually win that one, but I am sick and tired of you two skating around each other. Now, Chloe, for whatever reason and let thank that reason, has allowed me to find her a suitable blind date and I promised her one that wouldn’t want to kill her. So, knowing how enamored you are with her, I volunteer you. Plus, I don’t think you’d harm her in any way. And you better not.”

“You do realize that she can take care of herself? I mean with you, Clark, Pete, her father, Lana and me on occasion all watching her and taking care of her, you’d think she’d be sick of it all.”

“Stop avoiding Lex and yea, she is sick of it all. Why do you think she comes to the Castle all the time? So, will you? I haven’t told her who I was gonna get so you could surprise her. You like her, she likes you. Please, she needs this.”

On Lex’s part, he sat there acting as if this was no big deal, but in truth, this was all he could ever want. All he needed was one chance, just one, to show her that he did care about her and that he wanted her. Not wanting to be eager, he agreed to Lucas’ blind date on the premise that Lucas get her to Metropolis and set the dinner reservations under Lucas Luthor, so that she would be surprised. Well, maybe surprised was too less of an expression-possibly shocked would work well.

“What are you thinking about,” asked Chloe towel drying her longer than shoulder hair.

“Lucas and how he set us up.”

“Yea, pain in the ass Luc, who tells everyone we know that he was responsible for us two getting together. I mean, it’s was just luck he happened to be your brother and my best friend. But still, I owe him one, I think for a really long time.”

“Well, it wouldn’t be Lucas if he didn’t tell anyone. He’ll tell our kids for sure.”

“Kids,” questioned an amused Chloe.

“Umm, well I assumed that you would want kids and well, I thought…”
“Luthor, you are too cute sometimes,” chuckled Chloe.

She loved catching him at odd moments and busting his chops. Of course she wanted to have his kids-she’d do anything for him and having children was only a small something.

“Luthors aren’t cute-we’re debonair.”

“Yea, you go practice being debonair while I get my bag and then we can leave.”

And as she left the room to grab her bag, Lex patiently stood there waiting for her return, when the two of them would leave for their trip to Smallville.

This is a really interesting plot idea, I like the idea of getting to read the reporter's take on things and then flipping to what's really going on with Lex and Chloe. Very cool! I can't wait to read more!

Chapter Two:

Sitting there in the silver Mercedes convertible, Chloe sat there, hand held in Lex’s, thinking about the blind date that eventually led them here.

“Lana, can you please help me,” cried a frustrated Chloe to her roommate and surprisingly, best friend. Despite her pink fluff of goodness, Lana really was a great person, you just had to get to know her. And for that chance Chloe was grateful because there were times, like these, when a girl needed another girl’s opinion.

“What’s wrong and what the heck happened here,” motioning to the array of clothes that now littered the obsessively clean room.

“Lucas got me a blind date in Metropolis and I promised I’d go and it’s tonight. I leave for the helicopter in like an hour and I have nothing to wear. Well I do, but I don’t know what to wear,” Chloe explained in one big breath.

“Ooh, so who’s the lucky guy,” asked Lana while maybe some semblance of the mess on the floor.

“I don’t know anything except that he’s from metropolis and his name is Alex.”

“Where are you headed to? Maybe than I can help you out with the clothes.”

“We have reservations for this French restaurant called Désespoir de L'espoir and then I think we’re supposed to go to a club if things go good, but I don’t want to go clubbing.”

“Egh, lucky. I want to go there-it’s supposed to be really good. How’s this one,” asked Lana picking up a red spaghetti strapped dress.

“I’ll get Lucas to take us out sometime. He loves me-he’d do anything for me. And no, I don’t feel like red tonight. Maybe something less colorful? Black?”

“I have no doubts about Lucas taking you-he’d do anything for you. Hmm, okay how about this one,” questioned Lana as she pulled out a modestly low black halter dress that reached a bit over the knee.

“Oh man. I didn’t even know I still had that. I think one of my old Metropolis friends sent it to me. But yeah, let me go see if it fits or not and then we can wig out about my hair.”

Chloe emerged from the bathroom in her room and stood there waiting for Lana’s opinion on the matter.

“Wow, Chloe you look awesome. Definitely wear that tonight. And, I have the perfect shoes and bag to match. Now, what to do with your hair?”

By the time Lana was done styling and primping Chloe for the big blind date, Lucas had arrived to take her to the Castle so that they could leave via helicopter. Lana had chosen to put Chloe’s now shoulder length hair into subtle curls and only a touch of makeup that consisted of some blush, eyeliner and a golden hued eye-shadow topped of with nude lip-gloss. She also insisted that Chloe wait in her room while she got Lucas ready for her big entrance-despite the fact that Lucas wasn’t her date-some guy named Alex was. Nonetheless, here she was, waiting for Lana to call her downstairs.

“Wow, Alex is a really lucky guy,” exclaimed Lucas, as Chloe came down the stairs.

“Shut up. But thanks for the compliment. Is it too much, or is this how you rich and famous dine and wine,” asked Chloe as she finally came to the landing of the stairs.

“No, you look great. Kudos to Lana I’m guessing for the hair and make-up and possibly the choice in dress.”

“Hey, I can too get dolled up. I just don’t have much practice. So, ready to blow this Popsicle joint?”

“After you Gizmo. Lana,” nodded Lucas, as he bid goodnight to the high school princess.

“Argh, how many times have I told you not to call me that,” asked an exasperated Chloe.

“Too many to count and don’t frown, you’ll get wrinkles.”

The ride to the castle was filled with the usual Chloe-Lucas banter that was further propelled by Chloe’s habit to change the radio station Lucas preferred, but other than that, the two just sat in a comfortable silence. Once they got into the helicopter though, Chloe’s intuitive side kicked in, as her patience ran out, and began questioning Lucas about who this Alex person really was and what he looked like and all other things of that nature.

Thanking every deity in heaven, Lucas helped Chloe out of the helicopter and escorted her into the awaiting limousine that would take her to her date. He loved Chloe, he did, but he couldn’t let the surprise be ruined-not after all his hard work to actually make this happen. So, when they pulled up to Désespoir de L'espoir, he just took her hands in his and promised that everything would be okay.

Leading her inside, he told her to wait while he talked to the garcon and see if her date had arrived.

“Okay he’s here, but you have to promise me you’ll go through with this,” Lucas told her as he came back.

“Why? Lucas, what have you done? Who is it,” asked Chloe, now getting extremely nervous-not just nervous like she was before.

“Everything will be okay, just please, promise me.”

“Fine,” agreed Chloe.

He then proceeded to take her by the hand, telling her to keep her eyes closed, and guided her into her seat.

“I’m going to leave now, but you can only open your eyes when Alex here tells you to. Okay? And remember, I did this for your sake.”

“Fine, bye and thanks, I guess.”

“You can open your eyes now Chlo,” said Lex, as Chloe’s face changed from nervousness to complete shock. There was only one person who called her Chlo.

“Well, I can’t really hurt Lucas for telling me that I was here for some guy named Alex-I mean Lex is just an abbreviation of Alex which is an abbreviation of Alexander and that is your name and…” rambled Chloe, before Lex placed his hand on top of her mouth, cutting of any other response she would have had.

“Chlo, stop. I get that Lucas ambushed you and I guess I did too because I knew exactly who was gonna show up here tonight, but we’re not trying to gang up on you, I promise. It’s just that when Lucas came to me with this, I thought I could show you how I felt.”

“And how do you feel?”

“Look this isn’t easy for me, so just bear with me okay,” and with Chloe’s nod he continued, “I don’t know when it happened or how, but somehow I found myself thinking about you more and more and not just as that high school reporter or Clark’s best friend or that girl that drinks all of my coffee, but you. Chlo, somehow, somewhere, I just…I care about you and I want you to know that and maybe we can try the whole relationship thing. I’m certainly not the best at it, but I willing to give it a shot if you say so,” finished Lex, looking more uncertain as each second passed by.

“I’m going to have to hurt Lucas now. Lex, I want this, I want an us. Lucas has been trying to convince me to just tell you that I liked you too and now that I have, he’s not here,” joked Chloe, trying to ease some of Lex’s uncertainty.

“Excuse me, but if I recall correctly you never told me you liked me,” Lex exclaimed, with a hint of humor in both his eyes and voice.

“Well I do. I like you Lex. A lot,” Said Chloe, straight away blushing at her confession.

“Well I like you too. And by the way you looked absolutely stunning,” Lex said, watching Chloe get redder and redder.

Dinner was a pleasant affair filled with gourmet French meals and stolen sips of wine, on Chloe’s part anyway. The two sat there amicably talking about anything and everything, when Lex suddenly stood up and asked her to dance. They danced to the slow music being played by the musicians in the corner and totally got lost in the ambiance.

“Let’s go get some ice-cream,” suggested Lex.

“Sure,” replied Chloe, getting her bag and taking Lex’s hand.

The two walked out of the restaurant holding hands and chatting about Lex when he was younger.

“You did not,” exclaimed Chloe, as Lex led her down a Metropolis street.

“I did too. It was this horrendous shade of red and it was curly. I remember Chlo,” Lex told her, as they talked about his hair before the meteor shower.

“Aw, you were probably so cute. I wish I could have seen that,” Chloe laughed, as she rubbed her hands up and down her arms, trying to bring herself some warmth.

Noticing her shivers, Lex took off his suit jacket and placed it around her shoulders. “And don’t worry I’ll be fine without it, besides, we’re almost at the shop,” said Lex, as she opened her mouth to protest.

The shop, surprisingly, was of an old fashioned style with the original red bar stools and counters, not to mention the ice cream soda floats. It was in a secluded part of downtown Metropolis, so when she questioned Lex about how he knew of this place he told her about how his nanny Pamela used to bring him here in the attempts to cheer him up or reward him for doing something extraordinary.

Chloe was in heaven, not because of the soda float she was currently devouring, but because she was here with Lex-in a place he obviously considered special- and to her, that was more than words could say.

‘I’ll have to do something nice for Lucas one of these days,’ thought Lex as he sat across from the blonde spitfire, watching her sip happily at her float. He wanted to share everything with her, take her places that were special to him, make love to her and just love her. There would be no twisted version of happiness like with Desiree or Helen, just hanging out with her, talking, actually building a relationship from scratch.

“You ready to go,” Lex asked, as he watched Chloe try to hide a yawn.

“Mmm, yeah, sorry I didn’t get much sleep last nigh-I was kinda freaking out about this,” replied Chloe, referring to the blind date.

“No problem, let me take you to Lucas’? I assume that’s where you’re going,” Lex asked as he held out his hand.

“Yeah, I mean tonight was great, but I really don’t feel comfortable going home with you after the first date ya know?”

“It’s not problem, I get it, we’ll take it slow. I promise,” Lex said seriously.

“I know.”

Once he pulled up to Lucas’ Metropolis building, he went to Chloe’s side of the car and held the door open for her.

“Why, thank you kind knight,” Chloe said with humor in her voice.

“My pleasure fair maiden,” Lex stated before the two of them started laughing.

Getting their laughter under control Lex led Chloe to Lucas’ door and turned around so that Chloe was slightly pressed against the wall. He leaned into Chloe and brought his hand to gently cup her chin.

“I want to kiss you,” Lex said almost whispering.

“Why don’t you,” asked Chloe in response.

And before she knew it, Lex leaned down and captured her lips with his own, starting out chastely, but as soon as she began mewling, he traced his tongue on the bottom of her lip, begging for entrance into her mouth and Chloe was more than willing. The two broke off as air became an issue and Lex placed his forehead upon hers and told her he’d call her tomorrow before giving her another chaste kiss and watching her walk through the door.

“I love you,” she said to Lucas, as she spotted him watching some guy thing on ESPN.

“Great night I take it,” Lucas asked, a smirk gracing his features.

“Oh shut up, I’m going to bed,” Chloe told him before walking into the guest room, which doubled as her room whenever she came to Metropolis.

“Goodnight Chloe,” replied Lucas cheekily.

Lucas’ Apartment-Breakfast time

“Ahh, I can’t believe this,” Chloe all but yelled, running into Lucas’ room.

“Woman, it’s super early in the morning, shouldn’t you be getting your beauty sleep? And what are you yelling about,” asked a groggy Lex.

“This,” exclaimed Chloe thrusting a newspaper into his hands.

Moonlit Stroll: Luthor Heir and Latest Girlfriend

The people of Metropolis haven’t seen much of the Luthor heir in the sense of the social scene after his departure to the small town Smallville and failed marriage to Dr. Helen Bryce, so it may come to be a shock that the Luthor heir is indeed back and by the looks of it dating, yet again. Walking through a disclosed part of downtown Metropolis, I was extremely surprised to see the familiar baldhead, but what was even more surprising was the woman holding his hand. As can be seen, she isn’t the typical brunette Mr. Luthor tends to, but rather a saucy blonde. All that we know about the blonde is that she is a blonde. Due to the lack of light and the covering of her face by Mr. Luthor’s turned body, the pictures aren’t clear, but nonetheless, we know two things: 1) she is a blonde and on a happier note 2) the Luthor heir is back. (Picture: Lex and Chloe holding hands, with Lex’s head turned around, as if he is looking over his shoulder and thus, Chloe’s face being covered and only locks of her curly blonde hair being shown).

Stay tuned for more.

Adam Fienne.

“It’s not so bad Chloe. They don’t know who you are and why do you care anyway. I thought you and Lex hit it off last night,” Lucas said rubbing his eyes and placing the paper back into the hands of Chloe.

“We did hit it off last night-it’s not that. Lucas, I’m still in high school-it really won’t look good that Lex is dating a high schooler and yeah, I’m eighteen but still.”

“Don’t worry Lex will take care of it.”

“What do you mean by that?”

“Chloe, he likes you a lot. He’d go to any length to protect you and this is just only a small measure. He’ll probably pay off the newspapers to leave you alone or give them interviews in exchange for the protection of your identity,” Lucas explained.

“Hey no fair. I always ask him for interviews-he never gives them to me.”

“Maybe because he doesn’t want you falling out of anymore windows.”

“Yeah, but anyways, he shouldn’t have to go through all that trouble for me. We should just go to the Castle for all our dates and keep everything a secret.”

She didn’t have to wait long to divulge her plans to Lex because he called her soon after her tirade to Lucas, having seen the paper himself.

“Am I really selfish in wanting to keep this between us Lex, well and Lucas and anyone else you tell. And before you say anything, let me explain. I’m not embarrassed to be with you or frustrated at all that negative attention, it’s just that Lex, I’m still in high school and even though I’m eighteen, a twenty-three year old billionaire going out with a regular high school girl from a cow town named Smallville doesn’t really look good.”

“You’re amazing, you know that right? I was going to ask you if we could keep this between just our friends and family too, so now that we’re both on the same page, yes, I think it’d be a great idea. We can tell whomever we want, so long as they don’t go running to the papers and I’m accused of being a child molester and you’re called a paramour. Sound good,” questioned Lex into the phone.

“Yep and now that we’ve got that settled, what are you doing for breakfast because I cold set another plate for you here.”

“See ya in a few,” and with that he hung up.

“Sleepyhead, we’re here,” Lex said gently shaking his fiancée.

“Mmm, tired.”

“I know, I’m sorry, but we’re here and your dad expects us at seven over at his place so I’d thought you’d like to change into something else-some of your clothes are still here at the Castle.”

“Mmm, yea. I’ll get to that.”

Being somewhat awake now, Chloe walked into the walk in closet of the Lex’s old bedroom and picked out something to wear, all the while noticing that neither Lionel nor Lucas were home.

Lex had moved back into his Metropolis penthouse, as soon as Chloe got accepted into Met U. She ended up moving in with Lex and Lionel took up residence in the Castle, as did Lucas, so he could remain in constant contact with his girlfriend, Summer, a local of Smallville.

Finally deciding on a brown tunic, white mini skirt and thong flip flops, Chloe changed with super speed and now stood waiting for Lex, who happened to enter the foyer, keys in hand.

The ride to the her childhood home wasn’t that long-maybe a matter of ten or fifteen minutes, but in those minutes she just sat there listening to music and holding the hand Lex wasn’t using to drive. Taking his hand, she brought it to her lips and placed a kiss on it because she felt like it and not for any other reason. Lex learned from experience that it was just better never to question Chloe. He was used to these random moments, but he didn’t really mind-after all, it just meant more time spent with Chloe.

Knocking on the door now, Lex and Chloe were both surprised to see Lionel open the door for them and usher them in.

“What are you doing here,” asked Chloe, giving him a hug.

“Well, hello to you too. Actually, your dad called everyone over for an extended family dinner-you know the Ross’, Kent and would be Kent if he proposed, Lucas and Summer and then me.”

“Hey dad, nice to see you,” Lex said giving his father a hug.

“I thought I heard your voice,” said Gabe, walking into the room.

“Daddy,” exclaimed Chloe running into his arms.

“I missed you Pumpkin. Lex,” he acknowledged giving his future son in law a pat on the back.

“So where is everyone? We haven’t been together like this in such a long time,” questioned Chloe.

“Well, we would all be together if some hotshot reporter didn’t move away and her billionaire boyfriend-or should I say fiancée-didn’t hole her up in his penthouse,” said an all too familiar voice.

“Pete, it’s so good to see you. You have no idea how much I miss you guys. Where’s Lana,” asked Chloe giving her childhood friend a hug.

“Hey Lex. She’s in the bathroom, ya know bladder can’t really hold much these days.”

And long ago came the time where Lex Luthor and Pete Ross became friends.

“Chloe, Lex, it’s so good to see you again,” said Lana as she walked, more like waddled, into the room carrying the 13 month old Brooke Evangeline Ross with her. Handing the baby over to her husband, she was able to hug Chloe and Lex, as best as she could-being six months pregnant kind of hinders the space.

“Wow, look at you. Glowing with pride. Both of you,” Chloe exclaimed to both Pete and Lana, as she walked over to take Brooke. “And you miss, are getting bigger and more beautiful each time I see you,” Chloe said to the giggling baby in her arms.

“Chloe, sweetheart, can you get everyone into the dining room, dinner is about done,” yelled Gabe from the kitchen.

“Come on you lot, you heard the man,” said Chloe ushering everyone out of the living room, placing Brooke back into the arms of her mother.

Lex took hold of her from the back by wrapping his arms around her waist, kissing her neck and just holding her.

“I love you Chlo.”

Giving him one of her super watt smiles, she responded, “I love you too Lex. And I’ll love you even more if you lead me into the kitchen where I can eat.”

Author’s Notes: Enjoy!

Chapter Three:

Dinner was a simple event with everyone talking excitedly about each other’s lives, especially that of the recently engaged couple.

“So, have you guys set a date yet,” asked an overly cheery Lana.

“Umm, you do know that he proposed last night, right,” questioned a confused Chloe.

“Well yea, but you should have some idea,” responded Lana.

“Umm, summer time, if it’s okay with Lex.”

“I’d marry you right now,” responded Lex

“I know that, but I don’t think our parents or friends would appreciate us getting eloped. Besides, it’ll be fun. I’ve always wanted to do the whole church wedding things and it’ll be my first time walking down the aisle not like a certain person I know who’s done it twice before-he has enough practice have enough practice,” joked Chloe.

“Funny.”

“Thanks, I’m glad you think so,” responded Chloe, giving him a wink.

“Egh, you two are nauseous,” exclaimed Pete.

“Hey, we’re not the ones with a baby and another one on the way,” responded Chloe, all in good humor.

“Okay, kids, how about we leave that issue alone and you boys go watch TV or something and leave us girls here to talk,” suggested Lana.

“Fine, we’ll leave you girls to talk about Lex’s proposal and don’t even deny it, I know that’s why you want us to leave,” said Gabe, ushering the men out into the living room.

“Ahh, so tell us, tell us,” exclaimed Lois, acting more like Lana than Chloe had ever seen.

“Whoa, what’s got you all hyped up?”

“Well, it’s not everyday Lex Luthor gets engaged to my cousin, now is it,” questioned Lois.

“Fine, I’ll tell you bits and pieces, but I swear if any of this makes it into the media, I’ll know exactly who to hunt down,” Chloe said, finally giving into the girls’ demands.

Chloe was used to romantic getaways with Lex, but they were usually spur of the moment happenings that resulted when the two of them got bored in the ancestral Castle, especially during the time in which they hid their relationship. This, however, surprised her beyond belief. Knowing that she would be eating with friends in the Met U courtyard, Lex had one of his people bring a package to her along with a short note saying, ‘go to Lucas’ and then open the box’.

After her last class for the day, Chloe made her way to Lucas’ and asked him if he knew what was going on, but all Lucas would say was that it was a surprise.

“Can I open this box now,” questioned Chloe.

“Yea, go ahead, but listen, I have to meet Dad for some of that ‘bonding’ you have forced upon us, so I’ll see ya later kay?”

Waving him away, Chloe made her way into the living room and set the box down on the coffee table and placed her messenger bag alongside her body on the couch.

‘What are you up to Lex,’ thought Chloe, as she opened the box.

Inside, was a beautiful black evening gown with ruffles running down the center, shoes and a note that fell onto the floor.

‘Chlo, Vince will pick you up around 6:30 so I figure you’ll have an hour or two to procrastinate before you get ready. He knows where to take you. And no, I haven’t seen the dress, but I’m sure you’ll look beautiful. See you tonight. I love you, Lex.’

“Okay, Luthor what are you up to,” questioned Chloe before she got ready to take a bath-after all he did say she had an hour or so to procrastinate.

After her bath Chloe tried calling Lucas to weasel any information out of him, but he was being his usual self, saying that he didn’t know anything other than that it was a surprise.

‘Well, at least I know who I’m meeting tonight,’ thought Chloe, referring to her blind date with Lex.

She decided to just straighten her hair and put on a spot of makeup and that didn’t take long, so here she was in the guest room getting ready. The dress, of course, fit her perfectly and it was a wonder sometimes, to her, what the Luthor money could do.

Like Lex said, Vince showed up at around 6:30 and now she was here at the Penthouse, riding up the elevator. As the elevator was about to land at her floor, Lex called her, asking where she was and that when she got there, she should just walk in-the door was open. She was getting super nervous and at the same time, super happy.

The door was open-just like Lex had said-and once she walked in she was met with the most romantic setting she had ever seen. The floor was strewn with rose petals of all shades of red and pink, some even white. In the open space that served as their living room there were candles of all different sizes scattered in various areas, but the most impressive thing was the candlelit dinner set for two in the middle of the room. The round table was covered in a burgundy tablecloth and had two long stemmed candles that were sparkling in the dimly lit room.

“Do you like it,” asked Lex, stepping out of the kitchen, donned in the gray sweater Chloe loved so much and his usual black slacks.

“Lex, this is perfect, but you didn’t have to do this. I mean why did you,” asked Chloe, pulling out of her trance.

“You look beautiful Chlo and I wanted to. I feel like we haven’t spent time with each other, besides when I get in late and you’re there waiting for me,” said Lex taking her hand and seating her in her chair.

“I know what you mean and thanks you don’t look bad yourself.”

Dinner was a gourmet meal, champagne and all, as if it would be anything else. Before they had their dessert of three-layered mouse, Lex asked her to dance and although, she felt a bit silly dancing for no reason, she was happy to comply because in the end, it just meant more time spent in Lex’s arms.

When they were seated, Lex began his confession.

“I lied, Chlo,” started Lex.

“Lied? About what,” responded Chloe beginning to get worried.

“When I said that I planned this just because I felt like I hadn’t seen you in a long time. I had an ulterior motive.”

“And?”

“I love you Chlo and I know you’re young and you’re still in college, but I need you Chlo. I’m probably being selfish, but I can’t live without you in my life Chlo.”

And before Chloe could protest, telling Lex that she wasn’t going anywhere, Lex suddenly got out of his seat and was now perched on one knee, kneeling before her.

“Chlo, will you marry me,” asked Lex, now opening a velvet box with a platinum band of three princess cut diamonds, the middle one being the biggest.

“Oh God, Lex, wow. Yes,” Chloe responded looking down at him with tears in her eyes.

“Yeah,” questioned Lex, thinking he hadn’t heard her right.

“Mhmm,” said Chloe jumping into his arms.

“Well, then I think this belongs to you Ms. Sullivan,” Lex said putting her back down and sliding the ring onto her ring finger.

“I love you so much Lex,” Chloe said as she pulled him in for a kiss. The kiss soon turned much passionate and somehow the two of found their way into their shared bedroom and were now naked in bed, holding each other and glistening from the good deal of lovemaking they had just taken part in.

“I love you too Chlo,” responded Lex, as he kissed her forehead and he too fell asleep.

“Aw, Chloe, that’s so romantic,” cried Lana.

“Yea and I only told you about the dress and dinner, nothing about what he said-I don’t mean to be selfish, I just want to keep that between him and me.”

“Well still Chloe, that’s pretty damn romantic,” piped in Lois.

“Why thank you Lois,” said Lex, walking into the room and automatically going to stand next to Chloe.

“Hi, I thought you guys were banned from the kitchen till further notice,” responded Chloe, leaning into his touch.

“Yea, but I heard Lana’s and surprisingly Lois’ squeals, so I assumed you were finished.”

“Yea, you’re a real romantic in their eyes now too Lex,” yawned a beat Chloe.

“You about ready to get going, you look beat,” said Lex, worry seeping into his face.

“Leaving? Chloe, you can still use your old bed. Come on, stay with your old man for a night,” pleaded Gabe, as he entered the room.

“You up to it Lex, sharing a twin bed,” chuckled Chloe.

“Lex? Who said anything about Lex,” Gabe all but seriously responded.

“Oh get over it dad, we’re getting married and I’ve been living with him for like two years already.”

“Chlo, I think he was joking,” replied a jovial Lex.

“Oh, well in that case, I think I’ll take you up on that offer,” replied Chloe, going up to her room and returning with her pajamas on which consisted of a yellow tank top and sky blue pajama bottoms.

After everyone left, Gabe was left with Lex and Chloe and the three of them sat on the couch talking about the plant, college and even the upcoming nuptials. Sensing that his baby girl was super tired, he bid the two a goodnight and told them not to stay up too late.

Gabe didn’t have to tell them twice-as soon as he left the two were up in her old room, getting ready for bed. After stripping out of his suit and pants, Lex was left in just his black silk boxers-as if he could have anything below silk.

“You feeling okay Chloe,” asked a worried Lex, as he watched her yawn yet again.

“Yea, I’m fine, why wouldn’t I be?”

“I don’t know, but you’re just a bit more tired than usual,” responded Lex, getting into the bed.

“Well don’t worry about it, it’s just lack of sleep and working too hard,” Chloe replied, kissing him goodnight and snuggling further into his arms. And with that, the two of them fell asleep, spooned into each other.

Next morning-Gabe’s house

Chloe woke up to the sound of a running shower and an empty space next to her. She shivered at the loss of warmth and pulled the blankets up around her and snuggled into them, radiating any kind of heat she could find. By the time, she was fully warm and somewhat awake, Lex emerged from the bathroom, only wrapped in a towel that hugged his waist.

“Morning Chlo, you feeling any better,” he asked, giving her a quick kiss on the lips.

“Mmm yea, but why didn’t you wake me up, I could’ve showered with you,” Chloe said, voice clearly conveying her suggestive idea.

“And as good as that sounds, I wanted you to catch up on your sleep and I don’t think your dad would have appreciated all that noise you make,” Lex responded cheekily.

“Egh, I am not loud,” Chloe responded, throwing the nearest pillow at her fiancée.

Catching the pillow with ease, he bent down to her ear and whispered, “you’re a screamer Chlo.”

And that of course led to more pillows being thrown in the general vicinity of Lex, but before she could fling any more at him, Lex covered her body with his, making sure not to put too much weight on her petite body, and just kissed her senseless.

“Promise me something,” whispered Chloe, as she fought to catch her breath.

“Anything,” responded Lex, just as breathless.

“Promise it’ll always be like this-that I can just be me with you and you won’t expect anything else and that we can always just fool around, pillow fight and then make up.”

“I promise,” Lex said before pulling her into another kiss.

The two lovers managed to finally make it downstairs after a rather intense make-out session and Lex finally getting some clothes on. Sitting there at the head of the table was Gabe, nonchalantly sipping on his orange juice and reading the local paper.

“Morning Daddy,” Chloe said happily, as she placed a kiss on his cheek.

“Morning Gabe,” nodded Lex.

“Chloe, Lex, morning. I made some chocolate chip pancakes for you Pumpkin and Lex, I didn’t know what you would want, so I made just about everything.”

“Gabe, it’s no trouble, you shouldn’t have. I would have just stolen some of Chloe’s pancakes.”

“Hey, get your own food, these are custom made pancakes for me. It’s dad’s way to get me to come home once in awhile,” Chloe told Lex, squirting the whipped cream on her stack of pancakes.

After breakfast Chloe and Lex, bid goodbye to Gabe, promising to come back that weekend, and now they were at the Talon, waiting for Lana to emerge from the bathroom. Chloe didn’t mind waiting, though, because that just meant more time watching Lex play with Brooke, as Lana asked Lex to take her because her bladder was just about to burst with the pressure of the baby and Chloe was at the counter getting more coffee. Currently, Chloe was watching Lex, as he sat with Brooke on his knee, telling her pretty she was.

“You know what miss? You’re going to drive all those boys wild, but secretly though okay? Because I don’t think your dad is going to let those boys anywhere near you. And neither will you Uncle Clark and I, but I’m sure, you’ll have us wrapped around your little finger soon enough and then we won’t be able to resist those big brown eyes of yours. Huh, you think that’s funny,” he asked the now giggling Brooke.

Lana managed to emerge from the bathroom without attracting attention from Lex, so she went over to talk to Chloe.

“He’s going to be a great father you know,” Lana said sneaking up on Chloe.

“Yea he really will be. I think all he needs in his life is a wife and a few kids.”

“Well, you’ll get both that covered son enough,” Lana replied, earning a gasp from Chloe.

“Oh hey Lana, when did you get back,” Lex asked, his gaze now back to the giggling baby in his lap.

“Just a little while ago, when you were teaching my baby about Mozart,” Lana replied, laughing all the while.

“Well, I’ve made it my mission to teach about things of that sort,” Lex responded, still playing with Brooke.

Around about noon, Lex Stood up, baby still in his arms, and asked Chloe if she was ready to leave, as they both had to get back to their normal lives the following day. Kissing Brooke on her cheek, he handed her over to Lana and taking Chloe’s hand in his, the couple said goodbye to Lana and Brooke, promising to come back next weekend.

After they had got settled in the car, Chloe once again took Lex’s hand and just held it.

“You were great with Brooke,” she told him, placing a kiss on his palm.

“She’s a great baby. I know we just got engaged and all, but I can’t wait till the day we have kids. I’m thinking ten.”

“Ten? You’ve got to be kidding me. I’m not some baby making machine.”

“Well, with enough practice you can be,” retorted Lex, earning a playful slap and blush, both from Chloe.

“I’m serious Lex, maybe three or four kids, but not ten.”

“I’d take one if it meant having babies with you,” he responded with a serious look.

“Mmm, so how about when we get back to the penthouse, we practice making those babies,” asked Chloe, raising her eyebrows.

“Gods woman, you are going to be the death of me.”

And to that, Chloe just leaned over and placed a lingering kiss on the side of his mouth, almost touching his lips.

Later that night, Chloe and Lex were snuggled up, holding hands and talking about possibly making wedding plans.

“When do you want to get married Lex?”

“I told you, I’d marry you right now.”

“I know, but what do you think of the summer, like early June?”

“Chlo, it’s the beginning of May now, are you sure you want to get married in a months time? Don’t you want a perfect wedding?”

“Lex, I just need you there waiting for me and possibly a dress for it to be the perfect wedding. So how about it?”

“Well, it looks like you’ll be a Luthor in a months time.”

“Good. Are you planning on hiring someone to do this for us, or am I to rely on your past experience,” chuckled Chloe, knowing he wouldn’t find it as funny.

“Funny. I’ll take care of it. And no not by myself, I’ll ask around for the number of a wedding planner, but that means boring meetings discussing food and invitations and stuff like that. You sure you have the patience for that?”

“Of course I do. I have to make this the social event of the year.”

”Oh God, you haven’t been talking to my dad have you? Because his version of a wedding will be a whole bunch of business tycoons and a billion other people we don’t know criticizing everything and drunk women clawing each other with their fake nails.”

All he received as an answer was giggles from the blonde spitfire, before she finally bid him goodnight and fell asleep in his arms.

Kleenexes Definitely Needed Now: Luthor Heir Engagement Confirmed

We here at the society pages were very disturbed to hear that the Luthor heir-a scrumptious piece of flesh-would now be off the market, so our research consultants contacted anyone who would have information. Family wasn’t much of a help, obviously wanting to let the couple have their privacy and the LuthorCorp PR wouldn’t entertain the thought. So, after a good day’s work, we found a person who shall remain anonymous claiming that he saw the Luthor heir at the ring section of Carolina’s, a specialty jewelry store used to serving only the best. We then went into Carolina’s and asked if Mr. Luthor purchased a ring for the blonde reporter and to our surprise, the saleswoman confirmed it saying, “yes, and I imagine by now that the ring has taken permanent residence on her ring finger.” Apparently, the Luthor heir is very smart and figured that we would come scooping, so he allowed the saleswoman to disclose the purchase of the ring only after he had given the heads up and promises not to disclose the price or the make of the ring. Despite this though, we now know that the lady’s and I-even though that chance was long gone-have lost our chances at snagging the beautiful billionaire. Ms. Sullivan, you are one lucky woman and I can’t promise that we won’t be taking close ups of your ring finger.

Stay tuned for wedding details as they come.

Adam Fienne.

Author’s Note: Enjoy! None of these wedding people are real so if you're planning a wedding: 1) congratulations and 2) don't search for these people to help you plan your wedding!

Chapter Four:

Lex didn’t have to do much to arrange for a wedding planner. As soon as the rumors of the engagement had been confirmed, various flocks of wedding planners had been attacking his secretary for the chance to plan, what would be, the wedding of the year, if not century. Potential planners included the prestigious Hayes and Harrington and even some local ones including Smith and Flynn. Lex, wanting to give Chloe everything she dreamed of for her wedding, allowed Chloe to pick the planner of her choice and of course, Chloe being Chloe, she took a chance on a rookie, looking to make her mark in the wedding planning business. The Luthor wedding, of course, would be that mark.

Maria Bagley, the rookie from Gerry’s, was a highly ambitious woman with curly brown hair and high cheekbones and even though she towered Chloe’s five foot four petite frame, Maria was as friendly and homey as they came-well, when she wasn’t rapidly asking Chloe or Lex questions about what they wanted for their wedding-well more likely questioning Chloe, as Lex had now entered a business merger that took up all his time, including the time he had set aside to help Chloe plan the wedding or to just hang out with his fiancée.

‘So what if he has a stupid business meeting. He’s only met with the planner once and that was Monday, it’s now Thursday,’ thought Chloe, fully knowing she was being unreasonable, but also feeling that she could be as bitchy as she wanted, as it was that time of the month. That one-week meant snide comments and remarks and once in a while, waterworks that could not be stopped and were often over the littlest, most insignificant things. Lex, being the smart man he is, always had flowers and chocolates on hand for weeks like this. Now, though, was even worse, as there was the added stress of planning a wedding in less than a months time.

“Stupid ass of a boyfriend,” grumbled Chloe, as she sat at the fountain in the park, waiting for Maria to come.

“I hope there’s still going to be a wedding,” said Maria, catching the end of Chloe’s rant.

“Hey Maria. Yeah there will be one-Lex is just super busy and I’m super cranky and stressed out with everything going on in life from the wedding to college and just, argh, I feel like everything is ganging up on me. But, yea sorry to vent out at you like that, but Lex hasn’t been home during normal waking hours, so, unfortunately for you, you get my wrath. That, and I’m just PMS-ing. Oh and Lex can’t come yet again-another stupid meeting.”

“Aw sweetie I’m sorry, but he does seem to be a busy man-being a billionaire tycoon and all. And I know for a fact he loves you very much-those pictures in the Daily Planet show how devoted and in love he is with you.”

“I know, I’m just being bitchy ya know. Okay, how about I show you that church now?”

“Sounds good.”

At this moment, Lex and Chloe were undecided between getting married in a big church or just closing down Parc de Cerise, the Metropolis equivalent of New York’s Central Park, for their big day and having an open tented ceremony. Either way the work was cut out for them-especially if Chloe was the only one free to consult with Maria and even Chloe’s time was limited as she had about two more finals to go before she could leave college, for that year anyway. Nonetheless, here the two women were, in St. Nicholas’ Church, discussing generally what could be done, decoration wise, during the day of the wedding.

“I don’t think there will be much for decorating-I mean the place is glorious in itself,” Maria pointed out in awe of the stained glass windows and gothic architecture. “We can add flowers to the sides of the pews and maybe in the front and back, but the architecture of this building is just beautiful and serves to be romantic.”

“Yea, I know what you mean,” Chloe responded, more distracted than awed.

“Are you okay Chloe,” asked Maria, as she noticed the blonde clutching the sides of her abdomen.

“Yea, just cramps. No biggie-nothing a few Midol’s won’t heal.”

Despite the fact that the two only met two or three days ago, they both had decided to forgo the formalities and just become friends-after all, Chloe was entrusting her to make her wedding a beautiful event. After the trip to the church, the two went out for lunch at a casually set restaurant that Chloe preferred and knew Lex paid to keep the reporters out and away from her. They talked over their food discussing the pros and cons of the two wedding locations; the church would cost less, but what would that matter to Lex and the church was indoors so if there was a chance of rain and in June that would be a rare event, but stranger things have happened-need we delve into the happenings of Smallville? But than again, they could always have the ceremony tented in and block out the rain. Seeing the park too, on her way to the church, made Chloe more partial to the park, rather than the church because she and Lex weren’t really religious, but still, there were so many choices.

“Argh, this wedding business is super hard,” sighed Chloe.

“Well, you only get married once.”

“Not if you’re Lex-I’m bride number three,” Chloe responded good-humouredly.

“But from what I hear those marriages meant nothing to him and they were either hormone induced or just a bad choice,” Maria replied, obviously referring to Desiree and Helen.

“Yea, I know, I just love rubbing his nose in it-especially now, I’m still mad at him, but then again, my own hormones are in overdrive.”

And with that, Chloe told Maria she would call her tomorrow to visit the park in detail tomorrow and discuss possible plans for the setting if she and Lex chose the park and also, that she would need to have a dress appointment made. Right now, she needed to take the extra time to primp herself for Lex, as he promised himself to her for a late dinner and given Chloe’s choice in outfit, maybe a little dessert.

Not expecting him to be there for another good three or four hours, Chloe was surprised, elated, but surprised, to see her fiancée standing in their penthouse with roses and chocolates in hand. That, though, could only mean one thing-he needed forgiveness for something he had done or was about to do and Chloe had a pretty good feeling it was the latter.

“Let me guess, you can’t make it tonight,” sounding more disappointed and distracted than angry, but that could also be the result of the sharp pain in her abdomen.

“Chlo, please, listen. I’m sorry, it’s just there’s a lot of work to be done and I would rather be here at home with you or making tedious wedding plans, but…” and whatever else he was going to say was cut off by Hurricane Chloe.

“Oh, so this wedding is tedious is it now,” Chloe ranted and raved, cutting off all of Lex’s protests. “You promised Lex. I know it’s hard considering what you do and all, but I just wanted a few hours to ourselves- I mean with the wedding and all things are just gonna be more hectic then usual. Argh, you know what save it Lex and keep your stupid flowers, I don’t want them,” she yelled, turning to get away, right before the room started spinning and she fainted into the arms of a distraught Lex.

“Chlo,” questioned an extremely worried Lex.

“Chloe, come on wake up, please sweetie, I’m sorry, just get up,” said Lex, with a voice of desperation, while he reached to his fiancée’s wrist to check for a pulse. He found one quickly, as it wasn’t really slowed down, but the thing that surprised him the most was the extreme warmth radiating from Chloe’s wrist and the rest of her body, as he checked her forehead and cheeks. Leaving no room for panic, Lex quickly phoned Alonzo telling him to get his Porsche ready and waiting at the door, as he needed to get Chloe to the hospital.

Just as he was going to scoop her into his arms, Chloe groaned and began to rouse from her brief blackout.

“Lex, make it stop. It hurts so bad,” Chloe groaned, voice laced with heavy exhaustion and hoarseness.

“What hurts sweetie? You have to tell me. I need to get you to a hospital-you’re burning up,” responded Lex, stroking her golden locks.

“My side. Make it stop Lex,” Chloe pleaded, tears running down her now reddened cheeks.

Taking her into his arms, Lex scooped the intrepid reporter into his arms, cradling her and carried her to the elevator and then proceeding to the lobby of the building.

“Alonzo, call ahead to Metropolis General and tell them to have a room and doctor ready to examine Chloe. Tell them she has a really high temperature, fainted once and is complaining about pains in her side. And throw the Luthor name around if you have to,” Lex told his security guard, all too quickly, and rushed out with his fiancée in his arms. Strapping her into the Spyder, he sped to the hospital, comforting and promising Chloe that he would get her help in less than ten minutes. Thank God for the high speed limits of Metropolis and the nearby hospital.

Alonzo hadn’t failed in his mission, as there was a doctor and two nurses waiting for Lex’s arrival into the emergency room. As soon as he stepped through those doors, Chloe was taken from his arms, placed into the gurney and taken for an immediate observation. Lex sat in the waiting room, silently begging anyone and anything to keep Chloe safe, as that was all he could do-he hadn’t been allowed in with her, the doctors saying that he would be a nuisance and without him there it would be easy to diagnose her and treat her. He called Gabe and told him what was going on and Gabe had insisted on coming down, to which Lex couldn’t argue-it would be nice to have someone else there with him, as he just sat there and waited. Gabe would obviously forego the three-hour ride, as Lex had arranged for a helicopter to pick him up from the Castle, Lionel and Lucas, also to be joining in on the short trip, as they too were informed of Chloe’s condition.

So as he sat there, all he could think about was the time he spent with Chloe and wondering if that would be all that he had left.

‘No. Luthor, you have to think positively,’ screamed his mind, as he thought back to the first time he told Chloe he loved her.

The two had been going out for about seven months now and suffering from the stress of college, business and the harassment of the media, the two sought a day of just relaxing and hanging out. Chloe showed up at the Castle, not knowing what to expect, but never in her wildest dreams would she have imagined this. Lex had arranged for the two of them to just hang out for the entire day in the walls of the Castle where there would be no crazy economics teachers, boring business meetings and most importantly paparazzi, armed with their cameras. First, Lex had suggested a swim in the indoor pool, but Chloe had suckered him into watching romantic comedies with her-‘Heartbreakers’ being on the top of her list and at least one movie that didn’t reduce one’s I.Q.-‘Mystic River’. And because she had gotten bored with the movies, she took up Lex on his offer for that swim, both of them secretly wanting to see the other with a minimal amount of clothing on, as they hadn’t really been really intimate yet-nice and slow, just as Lex promised those seven months ago. Chloe had been to the pool in the Castle numerous times and knew that Lex bought for her numerous amounts of bathing suits-most of them being clingy two piece bikinis-so that she could go swimming anytime she wanted. When he divulged this to her, though, she accused him of being a horny bastard, despite the fact they hadn’t made love yet, and he chuckled and told her that was what one gets in the presence of a sexy woman, earning a heated blush from Chloe.

After their brief swim, the two showered, separately, and were now lying contently on the leather couch in Lex study-Lex’s back to the backing of the couch and Chloe spooned up in his arms, facing him and lazily tracing invisible shapes on his forearms.

He had never in his life felt more content and more in love. And with that came fear, not a fear of showing feelings or rejection, as he was pretty sure the blonde felt the same way, but fear in having the need to voice his feelings.

“What are you thinking about,” questioned Chloe, as she noticed his pensive face.

“Hmm, oh you,” he responded, slightly distracted.

“All the good things right?”

“Of course,” he replied. And then, a little while later, “Want to know something?”

“Come on Lex, you know me, I want to know everything.”

“I love you,” he replied, passion and sincerity conveighed in both his voice and eyes.

“Do you now,” she questioned raising an eyebrow.

“Forever and always.”

“Well, then you’ll be happy to know that I love you too Lex. Forever and always,” she responded with her mega-watt smile, repeating his words and pulling him in for a heated make-out session that had the both of them thinking they were still high school teenagers; although, technically Chloe was still a teenager, just not a high school student anymore.

That proclamation of course led to another emotional level in their relationship, but both were more excited and elated than scared.

“Mr. Luthor, my name is Dr. Henry James, I’m the one treating Ms. Sullivan” said Chloe’s doctor, coming to Lex, not a whole ten minutes after Lex carried in his fiancée.

Rising to his full height, he asked “Chloe, is she okay? What’s wrong?”

“Right now, she is stable, as we were able to reduce her fever using antibiotics, but what you need to understand is that she is in grave danger. Her appendix is close to bursting and we wanted to stabilize her before we took her in for surgery. She’s currently out of it, so we were wondering if you could consent for her surgery. There are minimal risks involved, as the appendix hasn’t burst yet, but if we don’t operate on her soon, it will erupt and cause more problems and if untreated kill her,” the doctor responded, carrying the forms Lex needed to sign.

“Sure, anything, as long as she gets better,” Lex replied taking the papers from the doctor and signing them, briefly skimming the contents of the forms. Chloe was far more important than legalities. As soon as the papers were signed, the doctor left and went to prep Chloe for her surgery. When he was alone again, Lex called Gabe from the hospital phone, as cell phone usage was limited in hospitals, and informed him of his daughter’s current condition. He also called his secretary, Abigail, to have her cancel his business meeting with the CEO of the company he wanted to negotiate with-Chloe’s well-being obviously came first. He also had Abigail, or Abby as she preferred, call Maria and explain that Chloe would be unavailable for a few days, whilst she recovered from her surgery.

It was now two or three hours later and somewhere during that time period Gabe, Lionel and Lucas had arrived and the four men were all just sitting there waiting for any bit of news on possibly the most important woman in each of their lives. Gabe sat, looking every bit older than his fifty years and thought about his baby girl and prayed that she would be okay. Lionel had the same thoughts of well being, as he knew the four men sitting here, including himself, would never be the same if something were to happen to the blonde spitfire they all know and love. Lucas was probably the most positive, having full hopes that Chloe would beat this surgery and come out better than ever, ready to tackle on any piece of investigative journalism. Lex, on the other hand, was the worst of the four men, as he sat there and thought about how small and fragile she looked when she begged him to make the pain go away. That image was now etched into his brain and he could do nothing but think of her and if, God forbid, something happened to her, how he would be nothing but an empty shell, trying to find the meaning of life once again.

They were all broken from their thoughts, as Doctor James came strolling into the waiting room and as soon as he stepped into the near vicinity of the four men, they stood up and began questioning him about Chloe’s health.

“She’s a lucky girl to be so loved. Strong too-she breezed through that surgery with little difficulty. The only lasting effect will be a small incision on her ride side, but it’s hardly noticeable. She’s currently under the anesthesia, but we expect a full recovery. And yes, you can go visit her-just one at a time,” replied the doctor even before these men had the chance to ask for themselves.

It was decided that Gabe would go in first, then Lucas, then Lionel and Lex would go in last, as he would stay the night with her-hospital visiting hours be damned. Gabe would crash in with Lucas at Lucas’ old apartment, while Lionel would hold up his own at one of his own penthouse suites.

Once Lucas left Chloe’s room, Lex walked in, still a bit fazed at almost losing the love of his life. She looked so pale and weak, nothing like how she was when she was awake- then, she was kicking butt.

Walking to her side, he took her hand in his and placed a kiss on her palm, as Chloe did so many times before to him.

“I need you wake up Chlo. I know that you’re okay now and the doctors say so, but I need to see it for myself before I can actually believe it. All I see is you begging me to make it stop hurting and I couldn’t Chlo, I’m sorry. Just please, wake up. You scared me so bad today-I don’t think I’ve ever been that scared-you can’t ever do this again Chlo. I don’t know what I’d do without you,” Lex pleaded with the sleeping Chloe.

“You’d move on,” Chloe replied, groaning as she had the biggest headache.

“Oh God, Chlo. I love you so much. Never do that again, promise me,” Lex told her, hugging her loosely, as if she’d break if he applied too much pressure.

“What are you talking about? I only fainted and why am I here? You know how much I hate hospitals,” Chloe asked, hugging him closer and from the sharp pain on her right side, she guessed she had missed a few things.

“Chlo, your appendix was on the verge of exploding so the doctors, they had to take it out. Do you remember anything about this afternoon,” he asked letting her go and taking her hand in his yet again.

“Hmm, you, me, flowers, an argument and then passing out. And sometime after that, telling you my stomach hurt, which I am guessing is or rather was, my appendix,” she sighed.

“That’s about it. And Chlo, I’m sorry about this week-I’ve been an ass. Forgive me?”

“Only under one condition,” she replied.

“Name it.”

“Well, there are kinda two of them.” And at his nod, she continued, “One is that you make it up to me by actually going to see our wedding planner with me-it’s not just my wedding you know? And two, can you hold me tonight while I sleep,” she asked, looking so vulnerable and helpless.

“You never have to ask that Chlo. I’ll always be here for you.”

“Mmm, I know, now come up here and hold me,” she said yawning.

As soon as Lex climbed into bed with her, adjusting his body so that he wouldn’t hurt her or mess up any of the tubes and wires, she was fast asleep, listening the beat of his heart.

“Thank you,” whispered Lex to anyone that was listening, obviously grateful for having Chloe back in his arms.

Church Shopping: Luthor and Fiancée Making Fast Plans

The most recent spotting of the Luthor fiancée was at the St. Nicholas Church in the heart of Metropolis, only a couple of feet from the Parc de Cerise, with the wedding planner, rookie Maria Bagley. Miss Bagley and Miss Sullivan are pictured here walking through the park on their way to the church, where an inside source told us the couple is looking at the beginning of June to tie the knot. We went to question some priests at the church, but all they had to say was that they weren’t inclined to say anything as it wasn’t there place to do so. The church would offer a more private place to conduct the wedding ceremony than the public park , but there are no doubts that the Luthor money could keep reporters and their prying eyes away.

On a more somber note, the envy of all women in the United States, Chloe Sullivan, has been recently admitted to the hospital following a fainting spell and a high fever. It seems that Ms. Sullivan’s appendix was close to rupturing and that, propelled by stress, caused her collapse. Rumors say that she fainted into the arms of one Lex Luthor and that people, wouldn’t be so bad. Doctor Henry James, Chloe’s chief surgeon, held a press conference for the Luthors and made the following statement:

“Miss Sullivan has responded well to the surgery. The surgery itself was very easy, for she is a strong-willed woman with much to live for. She is responding well to the antibiotics given to her, so we expect a full recovery.”

Well, Ms. Sullivan, it seems that you have gathered another admirer.

Till next time.

Adam Fienne.

Louie: Thanks for your review! I am so glad that you like this story and the contents of it. I’m only 17 and have never been proposed to, so I kinda made it up, praying all the while that it seemed realistic and whatnot, so I am super hyped that other people thought it decent! And yes, I’ve said this before, but Adam is my baby! I love him and am so proud of myself that I came up with him in all his gay glory!!! Adam is the part where I can totally call Michael Rosenbaum delicious and drool worthy ! *le sigh* Oh and if your implying that Chloe could be pregnant-kudos to you for picking that out because that was me really wanting her to be, so I added in clues I guess so that if I went with the whole pregnancy thing it wouldn’t be from far left field, but yeah, sorry she isn’t-not yet anyways lol! I’m hoping to do a sequel and cookies for this fic, kinda like a whole series and let me tell you I have their kids all planned out-from names to eye and hair color-yeah I need to enter Chlexaholics Anonymous! Wow, two updates! They were great, Lex being sweet as usual...and I loved the proposal! Lex and Chloe are just perfect together but I think that Lex needs to start cleaning up his act and spending more time with her. I'm so glad that Chloe's ok and now I can't wait to see what the wedding will be like!

Ok, so she was tired because of her apendicitus. But you know women have been known to have one or two false periods when there pregnant so ya now it could still happen  I just want to know how many kids they have in your mind. This was yet again a good update. It would take Lex something like Chloe almost dieing to set aside his work workaholick. I just hope some of her 'friends' come and see her after almost dieing and don't just ignore it like they would on the show mumblebig jurksmumble. So chapter six soon?

Chapter Five:

It was now Friday and Chloe had to remain in the hospital until that night, but Lex would keep her there until the doctors told him that she was in the clear-he had to make sure she was okay, but that would probably mean she’d be holed up in the sterile room all weekend and that obviously meant no trip to Smallville or possibly visiting the park. On the other hand though, Lex would be there to dote on her and keep her company, but than again, too much of a good thing can be a bad thing. She loves Lex, she does, but she’s Chloe, the independent, smart, ‘I’ll kick your ass if you mess with me’ Chloe, and that meant that she could take care of herself. God, what would he be like after they were married and possibly had kids-pregnancy, she knew, would be the biggest obstacle, as Lex would turn into a mother hen, making sure she ate right, she didn’t get too tired or lift anything heavy and other things of that sort. But that just showed hoe much he loved her and was willing to do for her, and for that she’d always be grateful.

“Sleepyhead, are you up yet,” came a whisper from the door, tearing Chloe away from her thoughts.

“Hmm, yea, I was just think about you being a mother hen,” she all too innocently replied to her approaching fiancée.

“Excuse me Ms. Sullivan was that some sort of innuendo that I am a mother hen,” asked Lex, all too amused.

“Lex, please, let me go home tonight. You know how much I hate hospitals, please. I won’t even attempt to work or visit Maria and you can even send up one of those hidden bodyguards up to the penthouse to ‘baby-sit’ me. And don’t deny that they aren’t there, I’m not dumb Lex,” she pleaded, even using Clark’s patented puppy-eyes, as she made the quoting gesture with her fingers.

And as she saw he was about to consider the idea, she went in to seal the deal.

“Besides, if you take me home tonight, I promise to do all sorts of naughty things for you,” came the now husky voice.

He didn’t even stand a chance and before nightfall that Friday night, she was out of the hospital and now heading back to her shared penthouse with Lex in his car. She knew she was playing dirty, but sometimes it was the only way.

‘Hehe, I love having a predictable boyfriend,’ chuckled Chloe in her mind, she couldn’t have Lex thinking she was crazy-then he’d drive her back to the hospital for sure.

Once they got home, she was sent straight to bed, while Lex went to make her something to eat.

‘Egh, probably something with real ingredients, none of that instant or artificial stuff-no there was none of that when Lex was cooking,’ thought Chloe as she idly flipped the channels, finally settling on one of the thirty billion home makeover shows on television.

“Don’t start complaining about the food Chlo-this is as fake the food gets with me” came Lex’s voice, carrying a plate with two sandwiches, a bowl of soup, hot chocolate with whipped cream and chocolate sprinkles and a bottle of his expensive TyNant.

“I didn’t say anything,” she replied, moving over so that Lex could settle the tray in between them on their bed and slide up on to the bed at the same time.

“No, but I know you were thinking it. Here, eat this first,” he replied, handing her the steaming bowl of chicken noodle soup.

“You do know that chicken noodle soup is for the sick? Ya know with the sniffles and congestion, not those that are now missing body parts,” asked Chloe, trying to make her soup colder and then taking a sip. “But, I still appreciate it. Thank you and not only for the soup and getting me out of the hospital, but just everything. I love you so much,” she told him, giving him a peck on the cheek.

“I love you too and I’m so sorry Chlo. I know I should have put off business to help you out, but I just want to make sure everything will be okay for when we get married. I need to make sure I can afford those ten babies and anything else life throws at us,” Lex chuckled in response. “I want to give you the world Chlo.”

“I don’t need the world Lex, just you, my friends, my dad and a small family would be nice too.”

“Anything you want sweetie.”

“Anything?”

“Why am I going to regret saying that?”

“You’re not. Can we please do some wedding planning-I’d like to be your wife sometime this century and the sooner the better. It’s the fourteenth today so how about the twenty-third of next month,” Chloe asked, now placing all the empty dishes in the tray and setting them on her bedside table.

“Chlo, I told you whatever you wanted, you can do, just let me know.”

“I know and I am, so what do you think?”

“I can’t wait. So the park or the church?” And with Chloe’s bemused look, he said, “What I did pay attention to all that blubbering Maria was going on and on about.”

“Be nice,” Chloe replied, lightly hitting him on the arm.

“I’m serious though Chlo. I can plan this wedding without a planner.”

“I’m sure you can, but you said I can have anything I want and I want Maria because I know in the end your version of our wedding would be me, you and some get hitched quick alter.”

“What’s wrong with that,” Lex questioned from the living room on his way to the kitchen, where he was putting the tray away and making a brownie sundae for himself and Chloe, if she was a good girl.

As he was walking back, she noticed the sundae in his hands with all of her favorite toppings-chocolate sprinkles, brownie pieces, hot fudge, whipped cream, Oreo cookie pieces and chocolate crunchies.

“Is that for me,” Chloe asked, looking very much like an excited child.

“Depends.”

“On,” she questioned.

“You.”

“How so?”

“Well, you promised me you’d stay away from the stressful stuff and that includes your random bouts of wanting to clean and organize. I’ve got people for that Chlo. I can’t lose you okay? I didn’t come this far to lose you. I need you Chlo and without you my life wouldn’t be complete-you’re my world.”

“I’m not going anywhere I promise and fine, since you are using my beautiful sundae as a hostage for your terms, I guess I shall have to comply.”

“You guess huh,” Lex questioned now taking the whipped cream onto his finger and placing it on Chloe’s nose.

“Yep,” said Chloe, going to kiss Lex, but at the last minute pulling out and stuffing her face full of her favorite homemade dessert.

“You’re going to pay for that, just you wait,” replied Lex, chuckling, as he pulled out another spoon and ate the confection with his lover, fiancée, everything.

Chloe knew that she was the only person that Lex ever let his walls down for-not even for Clark or Lucas. With them, there were no days of hanging out, just relaxing and eating as much junk as one possibly can. No, with them, he was open, but he was still the calm and collected man the world saw. Only Chloe would ever see the real Lex, the one that lost his childhood and was just trying to recapture it; the Lex that loved freely with no reservation; the one that loved to just lie in bed and hold her; the one that loved his Metropolis Sharks hat and actually watched Saturday morning cartons; the one that just wanted a family. In some ways, she was happy he was like this, as she would have him to herself, but other times, she wished that others could see the great man she fell in love with.

Saturday Morning-The Penthouse

Saturday mornings usually consisted of Chloe and Lex tangled up in bed sheets, with their arms and legs entwined in one another, until they would finally get up and eat and today, was no different. Lex woke to the sight of blonde hair splayed out on his chest with arms hugging his waist and a sleeping Chloe. Holding her to him, he just lay there until she woke up, taking in her beauty and thanking the Gods for bringing her to him.

“Morning Sleepyhead,” Lex chuckled, as Chloe joined the living.

“Hmm, morning,” she replied, letting out a big yawn and snuggling further into Lex’s arms. And even sleepier, she asked, “What are we doing today? Or am I not allowed out?”

“How about I take you out somewhere. We can make a day of it and this way, I know you’re safe and rested. How about we get some breakfast, then head to the movies, lunch, museum or whatever and then dinner?”

“Something like that minus the museum-I’m not in the mood today, unless you really want to go.”

“No, I’m fine. I was just going to stay in and do nothing today, but I need to make sure you don’t overdue it. Come on Sleepyhead, let’s get some food in you.”

“Argh you and Lucas give me the worst nicknames. I like Chlo, well just the way you say it like you care and all. But then you call me Sleepyhead and Lucas calls me Gizmo. Those aren’t so nice Lex.”

“Yea, but Sleepyhead is what you are and besides I say that like I care too-and I do.”

After a big and healthy breakfast, insisted on by Lex, Chloe and Lex took a shower together for the intents and purposes of saving time, but in their shower, they manage to waste more time than to actually save it-with all those naughty activities and all. They were now sitting in a darkened theatre watching ‘Monster-in-Law’ compliments of Chloe, as she dragged Lex into the theatre, avoiding all the fuss people were making. She would never forget the day she was subjected to the other side of the tape recorder.

There was a huge gala to happen in Metropolis via LuthorCorp to raise money for the local children’s charities and Lex was dateless. He wouldn’t have trouble finding a date-it was just that he was head over heels in love with his own girlfriend, who he vowed to protect and thus, was kept a secret. He didn’t know how much longer he could keep the secret though, as more and more people were getting suspicious when he would show up dateless to these types of things or he wasn’t featured in the news with a model hanging off his arm. That reporter, Adam Fienne, just printed an article regarding the topic just last week.

Dateless in Metropolis: Luthor Heir Shows Up Solo Yet Again

We’ve been closely following the life of one Lex Luthor since he was a young boy and he has never failed to bring us the gossip the people desire form his stints with brunette models to his marriages, but this time, he has shocked us all. For almost seven or eight months now, Mr. Luthor has failed to bring a date to any one of the society galas he has attended, but far more shocking was the fact that he rejected Anan, one of the most sought after women in society today. At first, we thought the Luthor heir was just testing waters and possibly seeking other dates, but even then, he rejected all offers that came his way. I would love to say that the Luthor heir has turned gay or has been his whole life, but we know that is not true-not even in my wildest dreams and I have plenty of those.

No, there is only one possible conclusion, Lex Luthor already has a girlfriend, one who doesn’t want the media spotlight, or else we’d already know about her. We were able to get in touch with Mr. Luthor and for once, he graced us with a comment.

“Mr. Luthor, is there any reason why you turned down those countless women and showed up to all the recent society functions solo?”

“That’s easy-I don’t think my girlfriend would have appreciated it much if I had some woman hanging off my arm, while she sat at home.”

“Have my ears deceived me? You have a girlfriend? You obviously aren’t going to tell me who she is, but can you at least divulge to us how serious it is?”

“You’re right, I’m not going to tell you who she is, but what I can tell you is that it’s serious enough to have me go solo to these society functions and be accused of being gay.”

And there you have it ladies and gentlemen. Lex Luthor has a serious girlfriend, one whom we hopefully see an appearance of.

Stay tuned for more.

Adam Fienne.

All he wanted to do was take Chloe out and not hide any longer-they weren’t doing anything wrong, she was eighteen when they began dating and even so, it was no one’s business. And that was exactly what was wrong. He didn’t want reporters and the vicious vultures of society’s finest to criticize her or berate her. No, he would have to protect her and the only way he could do that was to keep her away from them. But for once, just once, he’d love to take her out and hold her hand and even kiss her in public, not in the confines of the castle.

So that’s where he sat, frown imprinted in his usually stoic face, just as Chloe walked in and gave him a kiss.

“Why are you so grumpy,” asked Chloe noticing the frowns in his face. “And what’s this,” she asked, taking the golden envelope out of Lex’s hands.

“Open it,” he responded.

Once she was done reading, she moved from her seat in front of the desk in the study and went to sit in his lap.

“Ask me,” she told him.

“Ask you what,” he replied all too confused.

“Ask me to the gala. And Lex, don’t give me this big lecture on how you want to protect me because I get it I really do. I used to think that you were embarrassed of me before but I know that’s not true, so I got over it, but now, I know you want to just be a normal couple, but Lex that’s never going to happen. The media has spotlighted you ever since the day your mom was pregnant-did you know there are pictures of your mom’s womb in the papers? You’ve accepted that spotlight and I will too because Lex that just comes with you. I don’t care if they make me out to be some smalltime girl with big dreams who is just looking for money and sex in the bed of Lex Luthor, because in my heart, I know that you love me and I love you. Hell, who would believe that we got together on a blind date? No one and that makes us a normal and healthy couple, not anything they want to make us to be, okay? So please just ask me. I want this for us,” Chloe finished with a kiss to his lips.

“Ms. Sullivan, will you be my date to the Children’s Gala?”

“Why, Mr. Luthor I’d love to,” Chloe replied in a Southern Belle accent before pulling him into a kiss. When air became necessary, they pulled back and while she was catching her breath, forehead rested against Lex’s, she whispered, “I love you.”

“I love you too.”

Children’s Gala-Metropolis Central Park

The park was splendid, like a scene out of a movie where everyone was dressed perfectly and fun was to be had. Christmas lights were strung all around the park-around the trees, around the benches and even the tents were littered with lights. There were clowns on stilts and unicycles, waiters dressed up like jokers and people too that went along with the circus theme.

Sitting inside the limo, waiting in line to be dropped of at the entrance of the park, where swarms of reporters would be, Chloe sat a massive nervous wreck, toying with the tissue in her hands.

“We can still leave if you want,” Lex told her, taking her hands in his, hoping to settle some of her nerves.

“No, I’m fine. I promise. I’m just a bit nervous. I mean I look like a goof dressed up like this,” she responded, making mention of her black halter dress and black top hat.

“You look fine and besides, you’re supposed to look like a goof, it’s a children’s charities event,” Lex responded, kissing her.

“Easy for you to say. All you did was wear a ridiculously long tie,” she said, fingering the tie that when he stood reached mid-thigh.

“Ahh, it’s all in the name of charity right? Besides, the invitation did say wear one circus-like item. You’ve got your hat and I’ve got my tie. Are you sure you don’t want to back out now Chlo? I won’t mind.”

“No, I’m ready,” and with that the limo door was opened and Lex stepped out, offering his hand to Chloe, who greedily took it, seeing the thousands of camera flashes go off.

He took her hand into his and while giving her a kiss on the cheek whispered, “And so it begins.”

“Mr. Luthor, is this your mysterious girlfriend?”

“Who is she?”

“Are you two getting married?”

“Is he a good kisser?”

All these questions and more were thrown at both Lex and Chloe, who just stood there holding each other and all the more in love with each other. They discussed this before and decided that they would tell the reporters some things, like her name and that they were together.

“I have a feeling you won’t make our lives easier if we don’t comply to your wants, so for a short time, we’ll entertain your questions before we head in,” Lex told the reporters, pulling Chloe closer to him, as if to protect her from the hound of reporters.

“Who is she?”

“My girlfriend Chloe and that’s all you get,” Lex replied, ushering the next question.

“What do you do? How did you meet? Are you in love?”

“I’m a reporter. Through a friend a long time ago. And very much so,” replied Chloe.

They answered another round of endless questions after that-well, Lex did most of the talking as the reporters began to hound him for falling in love with a reporter when he was so against them in the first place.

“One last question miss,” asked a reporter and with Chloe’s nod, she continued, “Is he as good in bed as he is in the boardroom?”

“Well, we’ve never really had sex in the boardroom, so I can’t really compare but as soon as we do, you’ll be the first to know,” Chloe replied all too seriously and then added, “Well, we have to go.” And once they were inside the park entrance, the two lovers began laughing all too hysterically.

“I can’t believe I just said that,” Chloe told Lex, hiding her reddened face in his chest.

“Me either, but at least now, we know you can handle the reporters. They’re still shocked that I fell for a reporter of all people.”

“Hey, you say it like it’s a bad thing to be a reporter,” Chloe replied, smacking him on the arm.

“It is, just not you,” Lex told her and before she could protest or hit him again, he swept her into his arms and kissed her for all he was worth-and that was a lot.

“It wasn’t so bad Lex,” she told him as the movie ended.

“No I guess it wasn’t,” he replied, referring only to the parts where he and Chloe took advantage of the darkened room and began making out.

“Egh, you’re such a naughty boy,” Chloe reprimanded, none too seriously, obviously catching his train of thought.

“What? Those parts weren’t so bad.”

“Yeah, yeah. Where to now Luthor?”

“I don’t know wherever. I kinda have to stop in at the office for a quick minute, wanna come?”

“Yea, as amusing as that sounds though, I think I’ll decline. Wherever your hounds are that are following me, tell them that I’m going to 7th Avenue to go window-shopping and I’m sure they’ll enjoy it. You do your work. Don’t worry either, I have my cell phone on. We can meet up later for lunch or something. Maybe meet up with Lois and Clark.”

“Okay, I won’t be long I promise I just need to pick up some documents. Chlo, you sure you’re okay with this? I know I promised I’d take it easy with work, but I need these contracts and I just want to make sure you’re okay with it.”

“I’m fine with it, I promise. I was kinda just PMS-ing that day,” she told him, giving him a kiss and walking down the street.

While Lex took care of the paperwork at the LuthorCorp offices, Chloe walked down the streets of Metropolis window-shopping and occasionally stopping into stores to purchase the odd shirt or skirt and even a few books. Lex called to get together for a late lunch at some upscale restaurant in the heart of Metropolis and the two were able to make more wedding plans, like who to invite. The list was almost done, but there were just a few more tweakings that needed to be made. Lunch was then followed by a stroll in the garden of Parc de Cerise, where the couple stayed well into the evening and finally went home, where Chloe was of course sent immediately to bed, but it wouldn’t be Chloe if she weren’t the stubborn mule Lex knew and loved.

“Come on Lex, it’s only a phone call. Please,” Chloe pleaded using those damned puppy eyes.

“Argh, fine, but nothing too stressful. You’ve had a stressful day.”

“Lex, there have been a countless number of people who have gotten body parts removed and were able to do simple things ya know,” Chloe muttered before phoning Maria. “Hey Maria I hope it’s not too late to be calling. I wanted to call you and update you on the wedding. Yea, thanks I’m feeling better now and Lex has taken up the role of the mother hen so I’m going to be fine and well taken care of. So the wedding is now on the twenty third of June at the church I think. No, I’ll let him know, yea that sounds great. Okay I have to go though, the mother hen is beckoning me to get off and sleep. I’ll see you tomorrow. Okay, bye,” Chloe said, shutting the phone off and ending her conversation with Maria.

“Chlo what did I say about stress and too much of it?”

“Lex, relax you can teach Maria how to be a mother hen tomorrow when she comes over. I’d invite you along, but we’re going to possibly get a wedding dress and I don’t want you to see it. You should get your tux and Clark’s and whomever else you’re going to ask to be your groomsmen. I’m going to ask Lana and Lois tonight and maybe Maddie and Summer.”

Maddie and Chloe met during Freshman Orientation at Met U and had been inseparable ever since. Maddie was like the sister Chloe never had-so were Lana and Lois, but Maddie more so. Maddie just understood and she was the one only one who actually teased her about Lex, often telling Chloe that she was one of the countless women that had a crush on him and asking what he was like in bed-anything to make Chloe blush.

“No that’ll be fine. I’m planning on asking Clark, Lucas, Pete and Bruce.”

“Ahh, Lex, you are a genius. And get that smirk off your face. It’s perfect, everyone will be paired up with his or her respective spouse or girlfriend. Well, except for Bruce and Madison, but who cares, maybe they can get together or something,” Chloe replied excitedly, giving Lex a kiss on the lips. “There’s more of where that came from as soon as I call everyone.”

And as soon as the girls all agreed to being in Chloe’s bridal party and meeting up tomorrow for a dress fitting, Chloe hung up the phone quickly and snuggled into Lex’s arms and soon fell asleep and he never bothered to pick up their naughty activities, understanding that his girl was tired and needed her sleep. Besides, there was more of that to come as soon as they were married.

Author’s Notes: You guys are so awesome! I love you!

Thank You’s:

star del mar: Thanks for the review! Yup two updates, but that’s because I already have up to chapter six done, but you can pretend you didn’t know that lol. Aw, I’m so glad you liked his proposal because the only proposals I know of are those on television and in the movies so I wanted something sappy, but still Luthor-esque. And yes, Mr. Luthor will clean his act up and Chloe is better (yay) so now they can focus on the wedding. Oh and your avitar is so sexy-I want him, badly :love2: Anyways, hope you enjoyed this, more to come soon (I hope). xoxo, meeaz.

bluengreenswmr: Thanks for the review! And don’t worry about leaving me reviews, I’ve become a feedback whore so I live off them. And okay so the whole pregnancy thing, I don’t want to give up anything, but I promise you she is and will be pregnant!!! I love baby Luthors and so far I have more than one in mind (here, there’s a gigantic spoiler for you) so yes, she will be pregnant soon. I want to end this fic with Chloe and Lex on their honeymoon and she’ll tell him that they’re expecting and then the sequel will be all about her pregnancy and birth (will need the help of actual mothers here-online information only goes so far) and then a trequal (is that even a word-well the third in the series) will be all about Lex and Chloe and parenthood. Sound good? ! Anyways, I hope you enjoyed this!!! xoxo, meeaz.

Louie: Thanks for the review! Haha, you guys really want some baby Luthors don’t you? Well, I promise to get them soon, promise!!! And I have a lot of kids in mind-it’s not like Lex can’t afford them lol-but besides that, I just wanna see tough business man Lex on his knees playing with his kids and just being a normal man. Yeah, I so have a crush on Michael Rosenbaum *le sigh* but whatever. And yeah, he is a workaholic, but I tried to make him like less of one so that Chloe would come first and this is the first instance so far, but I just needed to throw in a fight so voila…Lex the workaholic. Argh, I wish I posted this here before I did the other chapters because I wasn’t really too focused on Chloe’s friends coming to visit her-as I see it, my story is mainly Chlex and as to avoid an overload of Chlex (although, that is not a bad thing) I added in plana and clois and other people-so I’m sorry, but there will be no visits from the gang while Chloe is in the hospital because in this she stayed for a day and I have my appendix still, so I’m sorry if that’s wrong. Anyways, hope you enjoyed this!!! xoxo, meeaz.

sweet, I thought that that was chapeter six and I'd have to wait for more but then I looked again and it was only chapter five so there will be more soon. wowho

It's ok that your storie is manly about the Chlex that's what everyone's here for. I just tend to want to know to much about what's going on around people(it gives you a lot of insight into why they act the way they do) even in stories. but that's just me and my nosey ness.

I have no idea how long someone is in the hospital for there appendix I have only ever had teeth removed. so one day didn't really bother me.

and I'm fine with waiting untill sequals and part threes for kids of theirs. that just gives things to look forward to.

Author’s Note: Does anyone read this? Sorry for the wait-I had to research some wedding dresses to see what I wanted for Chloe so I could describe it here! Enjoy!

Chapter Six:

“Lex, enough, please,” came the exasperated cry from Chloe. “They know what to do in case of an emergency and who to call and all that and if we don’t leave now, we’re going to miss our appointment, so can we please leave now,” questioned an annoyed Chloe.

She was touched by her fiancée’s compassion for her well-being, but honestly, as soon as Maria and the girls arrived at the penthouse, he began to grill them about certain symptoms, exhaustion being one of them. They were now well versed in what to expect and what to do in case of an emergency and who to call. Oh, and who can forget the lesson in throwing around the Luthor name if the occasion rose?

Chloe told the girls to wait for her in the lobby of the building and as soon as they left she went to relieve Lex of his worries. “Lex, I know you got spooked by my getting sick and all and are now petrified that you are going to lose me, but Lex, I’m already taking every precaution okay? You won’t lose me to any medical reason, but Lex, if fate decides that I need to leave this world, then I can’t help that. I love you and I know you and I know that you’re scared, but I promise you, I’m not going anywhere okay, so leave me some space okay? Besides, it’s only shopping. The only thing that can go wrong is that I won’t find something suitable and will show up to our wedding naked,” Chloe passionately replied, seating Lex on the expensive leather couch and just holding him.

These were the moments that deeply touched Chloe because she was one of the rare few who got to see the tough walls of the Luthor heir be broken down. The loss of his mother and nanny, Pamela, were devastating enough on Lex to leave him scarred and afraid. Chloe was able to get through to him by simply being there for him and showing him in little ways, such as holding his hand and often kissing his palm, that she wasn’t going anywhere. In the beginning of their relationship though, he still had his reservations, as he was still afraid of rejection and isolation. This, of course, spurred many arguments between the young lovers.

“Lana, I don’t know what to do. I think Lex is cheating on me,” said Chloe, now letting her tears fall freely down her already reddened cheeks, coffee forgotten.

“He is not. Lex loves you more than anything in this world and he’s a smart man-smart enough to not screw this up. So, humor me, why do you think he’s cheating on you?”

“Argh. I don’t know, it’s just a feeling. I feel like there’s this big distance between us, like he doesn’t trust me and he’s so damn secretive. And he tends to avoid certain things or just closes me off when I try to talk to him about it. Am I being really stupid Lana, because I really haven’t done this whole relationship business before because seriously, guys who are just trying to kill you or your friends don’t really make for great boyfriends and I mean Lex and I are great. I love him-it’s as simple as that, but I still feel like there’s something missing-there’s this distance, like he’s holding back.”

“Well, the one thing I know for sure is that Lex adores you Chloe-he wouldn’t mess that up, so your whole ‘he’s cheating one me’ theory has just flown out of the window. And consider this, Chloe, he’s suffered so much in his life-from the meteor shower to his mom and Pamela and not to mention his dad, it’s no wonder he’s somewhat reserved. He’s just as afraid Chloe of getting hurt and don’t deny that you’re afraid, I know you. You both are new to this relationship bit and I’m no expert either, but you two have been hurt in the past and I guess, he’s just more reserved about it than you because you want this to work more than anything. So, on that note, talk to him Chloe, see how he feels.”

“What if he breaks up with me? I don’t think I could handle that.”

”He won’t. I told you, he loves you more than anything.”

And on that note, Chloe made her way out of the Talon and into her red Volkswagen convertible and drive to the mansion, making sure she had enough time to freshen up before seeing Lex.

Walking into the study, she saw that Lex was on the phone with one of his business associates and in order to give him his privacy, she made her way to the leather couch and began reading one of the many ‘girly’ magazines she conned Lex into subscribing for. But, as soon as he took in the puffy eyes and red cheeks Chloe had tried so hard to cover up, Lex told his associate he would call him back. Walking over to the couch, he couldn’t help but be afraid as to what was bothering his intrepid reporter.

“Chlo, sweetheart, why were you crying” he asked, tentatively.

“Argh, good for nothing makeup,” she responded, rummaging her bag for a tissue or napkin, anything to make her look less like a swollen creampuff.

“Chlo, you’re avoiding the question,” Lex told her, taking a seat next to her and taking her hands into his.

Sitting so that her right leg was pulled up on the couch and her body was facing Lex, she took Lana’s advice and sought to talk to Lex.

“Are you cheating on me,” she blatantly asked. “And I don’t mean it to be offensive or for you to think that I don’t trust you because I do, it’s just that…” and with that Chloe proceeded to resume her crying.

Taking her into his arms, Lex tried to clam her by rubbing her back and whispering comforting words into her ears. Her hiccups seemed to cease so he began to speak his piece, “Chlo, I’ve never cheated on you okay? I swear on everything that means anything to me. What brought this up? Is it the newspaper or tabloids because I can buy them all out and make them stop if you want. Talk to me sweetheart-I need to know what’s wrong so I can make it right.”

“No, it’s not the papers, I don’t care what they say, but it’s you Lex. I feel so disconnected from you and I guess I just assumed the worst and that was pretty stupid of me, but I couldn’t help it. Wait, let me finish,” said Chloe, as she saw Lex trying to butt in. “I feel like you’re keeping something from me, like you don’t want me to know. It’s not so obvious, but of course, me being me, I notice every miniscule detail and it just seems like you’ve been either avoiding me or certain topics. Lex, why don’t you let me in fully? You always seem to hold back and I’m scared that this distance is only going to get bigger and then I’m going to lose you and I really don’t want that because I love you Lex, you’re honest to God, my first love. Well, not unless you count David Bowie,” Chloe responded, trying to lighten the mood and still, wiping her tears.

Lex reached out to her and with his thumb, began to wipe the now subsided tears streaking Chloe’s face, before he replied, “Chlo, first of all, I’m not cheating on you I swear, okay,” and with her nod, he continued, “I love you Chlo more than anything, but this is hard for me. You don’t want me for my money or my status and that makes it harder because if you wanted some cash, I could use you, you use me, no feelings attached, but with us, there is actual love involved and it scares the shit out of me. I don’t mean to shut you out, but I guess I’m just scared that if you see all of me, you’ll leave me and this time Chlo, I don’t think I could handle it. I’ve already lost my mom and Pamela and things are getting better with my dad, but still, sometimes I resent him. I’m sorry Chlo, I’ll try to be more open, but you have to understand that I’ve never really had to worry about someone else too-it was always me by myself and now, you come into my life and everything revolves around you. I’m not complaining either-I love you and you are by far the best thing I’ve ever had in my life. I don’t mean to shut you out, okay and if I do, please just remind me, just not with the waterworks because it breaks my heart to see you cry.”

“I love you too Lex and yeah, the waterworks aren’t my thing, but I just needed a release,” Chloe responded, scooting over so now she was sitting in Lex’s lap, his arms around her.

“Well, there are other ways for you to get a release,” Lex replied suggestively, pulling her in for a heated kiss, which obviously led to another night in the master bedroom.

Later that night, while holding her in his arms and lazily stroking her arms, Lex asked, “So are we okay now?”

“We’re more than okay,” responded Chloe, turning around and pulling Lex into another searing kiss that would lead elsewhere.

“I wouldn’t mind if you showed up to the wedding naked. Although, I would have to blindfold every guy there,” replied Lex, as soon as he got Chloe’s attention back. “And where were you a few minutes ago?”

“Sorry, I just got lost in my thoughts. But yeah, I think it’s a no on the naked thing. Can I go now, or do you want to inspect me more?”

“You know I’d never pass up the opportunity to inspect you, but I have a feeling you’d slaughter me if I stopped you at this point and besides, we have a lobby full of five women waiting for you,” replied Lex, looking more like a spoiled child who didn’t get his way than the twenty-five year old business tycoon he was.

“Good boy. I knew there was a reason I loved you. And besides, your patience might pay off, we also happen to be going to a lingerie store and I might just get a few things for before the wedding-ya know, as a pre-wedding gift of sorts,” Chloe told Lex, before kissing him goodbye.

Hemra’s-sometime later:

Maria insisted on taking Chloe to some clothing store in Metropolis called Hemra’s, promising that everything she could need for her wedding was there. And true to her word, everything Chloe would need, clothing and accessory wise, was there. The place was littered with designs for dresses, already made dresses, shoes, purses, shawls, tiaras, veils, etc. Summer, Madison and Lois made a beeline to the bride’s maid dress section and Lana waddled over a short time later, while Chloe stood there, near the entrance of the store, waiting for Maria’s return. A few minutes later, Maria emerged with a rather attractive man named Joseph Hemra and introduced him to Chloe, while the other girls, who upon noticing the arrival of Joseph, made their way over.

“It’s a pleasure to finally put a face to the name Ms. Sullivan. Maria here has been telling me all sorts of things about you and your upcoming nuptials,” said Joseph, kissing Chloe’s hand.

“All good things I hope and please, call me Chloe. These are my friends and bride’s maids Summer, Lois, Madison and Lana,” Chloe introduced. Joseph acknowledged each lady by kissing her hand and proceeded to show the girls his plans for the wedding ensembles.

“Meeting you makes everything perfect Chloe. I was designing a dress for you based on some articles I have read about you and your fiancée, but by meeting you, I can actually design something more for your suiting. I’ll be back in a few minutes with a rough sketch and a few designs I can alter. Why don’t you women look around some,” Joseph said, disappearing once again.

They didn’t need to be told twice and as soon as he disappeared the women had started looking at various dresses, adding the odd comment here or there.

“So, Chloe, what’s Lex like,” asked Maria, as she hadn’t really spent time with the man. “I mean, from the papers he seems like all he is business and there are some articles here and there about you, but nothing much.”

“He’s great. And the whole paper thing, well you know we kept our relationship secret for a while and even when we went public, he paid the reporters to keep away from me, so I wouldn’t be labeled anything false-you know how the media is. But, yeah, he’s a great guy and not the actual bastard people make him out to be. He kind of is one when it comes to business deals, but I swear Lex is as sweet as it gets,” Chloe replied, getting a far away look in her eye.

“Is he sweet in bed too, or is more the kinky sordid type,” asked Madison, getting her two cents in, knowing Chloe would be as red as a tomato.

“Maddie,” cried Chloe.

“What? All I’m saying is that he better be good-you did wait forever for it anyway.”

“Wait, you mean to tell me that you didn’t have sex with the infamous playboy at the first chance,” asked a confused Maria, before continuing, “because if I were you, I would have jumped his bones the first chance I got.”

“Hey! He’s mine, back off,” replied Chloe, somewhat serious and somewhat kidding around. “And we didn’t really wait that long.”

“Sweetheart, I really hate to break it to you, but a year is like eternity,” said Madison.

“No it’s not. Okay, maybe it is, but I swear every time I tried to do anything more than make out, he’d back out and be all ‘I don’t want you to regret this,’ and besides, I like the fact that he cared enough.”

“Yea, and it doesn’t matter now, they’re always at it like rabbits,” replied Lana, making Chloe blush.

“You’re one to talk,” Chloe replied, obviously talking about Brooke and baby number two.

The women in the room continued to snark with each other until Joseph came back into the room, bringing with him an assistant and four loaded carts of dresses and a sketch book.

“Okay. Chloe, these two racks here are of wedding dresses that are my specialties and not for public sale, so if you decide to get any one of these, you’d be the only one with it. And, on the other two racks are dresses for bridesmaids and we’ll have the colors adjusted and the sizes. Do you have a color for the bride’s maid dresses,” Joseph questioned, taking charge.

“Lavender,” answered Chloe, already having made up her mind.

“Oh that will work perfectly! I have this one shade that is divine,” exclaimed Joseph.

A short time later, the bride’s maids all took turns trying on dresses, hoping to find the one they could all agree on. They each picked one out and modeled it for the others and if the majority of the women liked it, the rest of them would try it on and see if they all could agree upon that dress. Of the fifty dresses they had tried on so far, there were only twelve or so in the keep pile; the others just didn’t flatter one of the girls in one way or another. Chloe thought having Lana fitted for the dress would be a problem, with her stomach and all, but Joseph promised that alterations could be made and everything would be fine. Twenty more dresses and the perfect dress was found. Lois originally spotted the strapless, A-line dress that reached the floor; it was gathered at the left side with a ribbon that scrunched up in a criss-cross pattern.

“Oh my god! It’s perfect,” came the exclaims from all the girls.

“Well, go try it on you lot. See if you like it and then we’ll place the order and get down to getting me a dress,” came the response from Chloe.

It was obvious then that this would be the dress that all four bride’s maids would be sporting the day of the wedding and they would be happy about it, which was a great thing because bride’s maids dresses often came in the ugliest styles.

It was now Chloe’s turn to try on a dress that she liked and would possibly be happy with, but that was turning out to be a problem. She had tried on all sorts of dresses-halters, squared-off necks, ones with slits on the side, full-sleeved ones, but nothing met her fancy.

“Argh, at this rate I’m never going to find a dress and then I really will have to show up naked at my wedding,” sighed Chloe.

“Lex won’t mind,” Summer piped in.

“I know, but I can’t let him win,” she joked back. “At this point, I’m willing to wear a powder blue dress,” Chloe sighed, grimacing at the thought of wearing anything but the traditional white color.

“Speaking of colors, why lavender for the bride’s maid dresses? Is it your favorite,” came Maria’s questioning voice.

“No, it’s Lex’s and he’s not a sissy or anything like that. It’s just that it was his mom’s favorite too so whatever he has to remember her by, he holds onto it. He has the watch she gave him from when he was a little boy and he makes sure he has all these purple flowers delivered to the house and to her grave each week. Anything he can do to hold onto her memory,” explained Chloe.

“Oh,” replied Maria, somewhat regretting her question.

“Yeah, Lex is a complicated man and don’t worry about it, he accepted the fact that she wasn’t coming back a long time ago-no need to be sorry.”

“Chloe, I might have a dress for you in the back because these obviously aren’t working,” said Joseph, feeling as frustrated as Chloe.

He came back minutes later carrying with him a sealed black bag that contained the dress, or so Chloe hoped.

“Well, here goes nothing,” said Chloe going to open the bag. “Wait, don’t let me see. I want to try it on without seeing it and then you guys can tell me if it looks good or not on me. I don’t want to form an opinion by just seeing it in the bag.”

Lois took to covering Chloe’s eyes while the other girls helped her get into the dress.

“Oh holy mother. Chloe this is the dress for you,” came Summer’s voice, which was backed up with enthusiastic responses from the rest of the girls and Joseph too, who was looking at her in a way Lex wouldn’t have appreciated.

“Okay I wanna see it now,” said Chloe opening her eyes and guiding herself to the mirror. “Oh wow, yeah. Joseph, I think I want this one. Will it be a problem,” she said now taking in her appearance. The dress was a strapless, satin, crisp white dress with little crystals embroidering the bust and there was an overskirt that shimmered with the same crystal and scrunched up at the side with a bow-tied ribbon. “How much will it be?”

“Oh don’t worry about the price,” chimed in Maria. “You look great Chloe.”

“What do you mean ‘don’t worry’ and thanks for the compliment,” Chloe responded.

“Well, Lex kind of told me to keep you away from the price area, saying that he would take care of everything. He said he wanted you to have everything you want, nothing less.”

Chloe sputtered to come up with an argument, but she knew this was a battle she would never win-she had never been able to in the past either, why would it be any different now? And with that, she modeled the dress some more and stood still for what seemed like forever so that Joseph could take in her measurements and take notes on what needed to be altered and whatnot. Shoes, shawls and purses had also been ordered for the bride’s maids and for Chloe, the shoes, the purse, the gloves and even the veil.

Making plans with Joseph to have the dress picked up later in the week and saying goodbye to the girls, Chloe called Vince to pick her up so that she could go home and just have a lie in with Lex-she was far more tired now, having tried on about a million dresses. She wouldn’t blatantly let Lex know that she was tired because that would just lead to more rest and probably a visit to the hospital, so if the topic was brought up, she would chalk it up to the modeling of the hoards of dresses.

When she got home though, she noticed that Lex wasn’t home and was a bit disappointed because now she would just have to nap alone, using her own body heat and a blanket to keep her warm, not the bald billionaire she fell in love with. Placing her bag on the kitchen counter, Chloe made her way over to the couch, took off her shoes and proceeded to take her well-deserved nap, snuggling into the duvet she kept on the couch for moments like this.

And that was exactly how Lex found her when he came back home an hour or two later. He took the opportunity to soak in her beauty, just lying there, snuggling into the blanket and obviously dreaming about something, as her rapidly moving eyes indicated. The leather couch couldn’t have been that comfortable so he put down the bags of food in his hands on the kitchen counter and made his way over to her and took her in his arms, proceeding to carry her into their room and placing her on the bed.

As he tucked her in and kissed her on the forehead and was about to leave, he heard her soft whisper, “Lex, can you stay?”

Never needing to be told twice, he just silently made his way over to the bed, took off his shoes and got into the bed, pulling her into his arms and falling fast asleep, forgetting all about the lunch he planned on sharing with her as soon as she got home and the naughty lingerie she promised.

Crazy In Love: Luthor Heir and Fiancée Take On An Outing

Argh, can these two get any more in love? I love the both of them, but honestly, I’m a society pages reporter and I need the drama. These two are just too sickingly in love and I have a feeling there won’t be much drama coming our way from the likes of those two. They were recently spotted in our very own Parc de Cerise just sitting on the park benches talking and occasionally kissing or just taking a stroll holding hands, obviously in love.

Ms. Sullivan was just released from the hospital following an emergency appendectomy and rumors are running rampant saying that the surgery was just a guise to cover up the reporter’s pregnancy. When called for a comment on the rumors, the future Luthor just burst out laughing, saying that although she would love to be pregnant, she wasn’t and if people wanted proof, she’d be willing to show them the minimal scar that now marred her lower right side.

So there you have it ladies and gentlemen, Ms. Sullivan isn’t pregnant at the moment, but would love to at some point. What those children would be like, we have no idea, but I guess all we can do is wait and find out.

Stay tuned for more.

Adam Fienne.

Author’s Notes: Yeah, so I’m not gonna be able to update for some time because real life and school are calling me, so if you actually like this story, sorry. I think the next chapter should be up in two weeks (hopefully). On the bright side, there’s a whole bunch of chlexy goodness on this site so there’s that!

Thank You’s:

bluengreenswmr: Thanks for your supremely enthusiastic review!!! I’m so glad to have made you super happy with the ‘Daily Planet Musings’ Series. Hope you enjoyed this chapter! Oh and your comment totally made my day and kept me amused! xoxo, meeaz.

star del mar: Thanks for the review! Yeah, Lex is an honest man and I wanted to add in some humor so that’s my attempt at it lol. And yeah, that avatar is so yummy-I love mine but just because that’s how I see Lex, you know the twisted and lone soul just looking for love-aww, he’s so cute *le sigh* lol. Anyways, I’m glad that you’re hooked to this and like it-hope you enjoyed this chapter! xoxo, meeaz.

Louie: Thanks for the review! No, this is chapter six here, but yeah, so I won’t have seven up for awhile. I’ll try to add in more stuff about the rest of the Smallville gang, but I find that I’m not patient enough to go into detail about other people-plus, of all the ships in Smallville, I can only stomach Lex and Chloe, like I like the idea of Pete and Lana and Clark and Lois is destiny, but somehow, those just don’t do it for me. Whatever. Anyways, hope you enjoyed this. xoxo, meeaz.

Okay, let's just get some things straight.

Happy is sooooo not the word for it.

I'm thinking ecstatic, obssesed with, outraged that there is no new chappie....

Yeah, that sounds about right.

Anyway, so now this story is all caught up, so you know, when can we be expecting chapter 7? Soon I hope.

Great as usual. Chloe shopping for dresses? I'm surprised it wasn't more of a debacle :D and Lex...still cute as usual, lol.

I read both of your author's notes and it's ok if it takes you two whole weeks before you can update again cause this is a great story.

I will only cry a little since you have promised much goodness in the next part.

I thought there was just enough others in this part. All I have to say is don't go changing your style, it all comes out clearer when you write your own way.

So, I can't wait till it's the 8th of June

This is just wonderful! I'm glad that Lex and Chloe trust each other and aren't afraid to be painfully honest with each other.

Excellent, just excellent :grin3:

This is the most sweetest story I've read about Chloe and Lex. Sometimes the only thing you need is a story-happy, fluffy and sweet-to read and make the day a better one.
Love it and hope for more!!!

Okay, this is not an update but i do need help! Please? Okay i was making plans for the next few chapters and decided that this part of the story was going to end in ten chapters if all goes planned because i want to move onto pregnant chloe and mother hen lex lol. So here goes, if you guys can get any of these to me i would love you forever and give you :cake: !

1) I need a great wedding song that is Chlexy and is about them and how they are in this story.

2) A wedding present from Chloe for Lex-i have one for Chloe, but can't think of anything for Lex. I was gonna do like naughty undewear but i want it to be something deep and from the heart-something that matters to him. I can even make up an inside thought they share over said item if you can provide an explanation to the gift.

3) Umm food ideas? What do they have at weddings?

4) Any ideas for the next fic-it's about pregnant chloe so any funny stories regarding pregnancy would be most appreciated-yeah, i have no experience in that either! Anything you'd like to happen?

5) A smut scene for the honeymoon because i don't want to try my hand at smut, as i have no experience whatsoever, minus the fics i've read. So if anyone is interested, I will of course give ALL credit to them and us the story in the last chapter. I only have a few requests: 1) it has to be during the honeymoon, in a bed and i think that's it. I don't really care about anything else or what they do-just no kinky stuff, it's their honeymoon people. So yea just email me if you're interested at goldiefishthe2nd@yahoo.com and i'll read it and use it! Also, if you reeeeeeeeeeeealy want in on the smut, i'm doing it based on a first come first served basis so that i don't have to decide on which story to use-i don't wanna be mean!

Okay, i think that's it and sorry for not writing any stuff by now, but i'm so busy and sooooooooooo tired-i don't think i've slept for an entire five days. And my eyes are now closing as i type this, so thanks so much if you get back to me on stuff and i promise that ALL credit will go to the rightful owners!!!

THANKS!!!

1. A chlexy wedding song: You and Me by Lifehouse

What day is it? And in what month?
This clock never seemed so alive
I can't keep up and I can't back down
I've been losing so much time

Cause it's you and me and all of the people with nothing to do
Nothing to lose
And it's you and me and all of the people
And I don't know why, I can't keep my eyes off of you

All of the things that I want to say just aren't coming out right
I'm tripping on words
You've got my head spinning
I don't know where to go from here

Cause it's you and me and all of the people with nothing to do
Nothing to prove
And it's you and me and all of the people
And I don't know why, I can't keep my eyes off of you

There's something about you now
I can't quite figure out
Everything she does is beautiful
Everything she does is right

Cause it's you and me and all of the people with nothing to do
Nothing to lose
And it's you and me and all of the people
And I don't know why, I can't keep my eyes off of you
and me and all of the people with nothing to do
Nothing to prove
And it's you and me and all of the people
And I don't know why, I can't keep my eyes off of you

What day is it?
And in what month?
This clock never seemed so alive

OR

Lucky by Hoobastank

I knew how it felt to be another one in need of someone to show the way
Until you saw a part of me that nobody else
Could see and my life hasn't been the same...

[Chorus:]
You make me feel lucky as I can be... [x2]

Before I couldn't get a break,
Never had a chance to make
The impressions I want to
But now it falls right into place
When I get to see your face
Then there's nothing that I can't do...

[Chorus]

No more dark days, only sun rays
No more hard ways with you today

You make me feel....

[Chorus]

2. A wedding present from Chloe to Lex: something relating to his mother or Julian, or something relating to the beginning of their relationship, (item from the place they met, ticket stub, etc.)

3. Food: hmm...usually its kinda basic stuff- but some staples are: the cake, of course, usually some kind of high-end desert, a chicken, beef, or veggie dish- basically it's comfort food at a higher quality, but still stuff that everyone will recognize.

As for 4 and 5, well, I really cant help ya there, but I hope my 'ideas will be valued' to quote my english teacher. (we're coming up with ideas for a modernized version of Romeo and Juliet. I suggested that we really bring the story into the 21st century and was met with those words- not so encouraging.)

A Chlex Wedding Song

Read the words this whole CD is fantanstic. But this song everytime I hear it I can picture a Chlex fanfic.

A Girl Like You By Babyface and Kevon Edmonds

Every night before I sleep
I thank the Lord for givin’ me another day
So I can be with you
’Cause I ain’t never seen a face
So beautiful in every way
I can’t believe that I’m here with you

And I cry ‘cause I-I’m so in love
’Cause you don’t know what it means to me to finally find someone
I was searchin’ for the perfect girl, the woman of my dreams
And now she is in love with me

And even though I’ve been around the world
Never did I find a girl
That makes me feel the way you know you do
And even though love has been kind to me
Never did I dream
I would find me a girl like you
Da-da-da-da
Da-da-da-da-da

Ooh, yeah
When I’m makin’ love to you
I call your name, that’s what I do
So you won’t have no reservations and
That you’re the only one for me
My heart is yours and, girl, that is for eternity
You know we make the perfect combination

And I cry cause I-I can’t believe
Cause you just don’t know the half of it
Or what it means to me
To have finally found the perfect girl
The angel of my dreams
And now she is in love with me

And even though I’ve been around the world
Never did I find a girl
That makes me feel the way you know you do {You know you do}
And even though love has been kind to me
Never did I dream
I would find me a {Me a girl, me a girl, me a girl} girl like you
Da-da-da-da-no-no
(Da-da-da-da-da)
Da-da-da-da-no

You’re only the best thing, girl {Ooh, little baby}
That ever happened in my life {That ever happened in my life}
You are my angel {Yeah}
The angel and the apple of my eye
And even though I’ve been around the world
Never did I find a girl
That makes me feel the way you know you do {You know you do}
And even though {Even though} love has been kind to me
Never did I dream
I would find me a girl {Find me a girl, me a girl, me a girl}, oh, ooh, no
And even though I’ve been around the world (?Round the world)
Never did I find a girl {Find a girl} (Oh)
That make me feel the way you know you do {You know you do}
And even though {Even though} love has been kind to me
Never did I dream
I would find me a girl (Find me, find me, find me a girl like you)
Ah-da-da-da-da
Da-da-da-da
Da
Baby
A girl like you

Okay

For wedding song I Knew I Loved You - by Savage Garden

Maybe it's intuition
Somethings you just don't question
Like in your eyes, I see my future in an instant
And there it goes, I think I've found my best friend

I know that it might sound
More than a little crazy
But I believe...

Chorus:
I knew I loved you before I met you
I think I dreamed you into life
I knew I loved you before I met you
I have been waiting all my life

There's just no rhyme or reason
Only a sense of completion
And in your eyes, I see the missing pieces
I'm searching for, I think I've found my way home

I know that it might sound
More than a little crazy
But I believe

Chorus

A thousand angels dance around you
I am complete now that I have found you

Chorus

Hey! Okay good news and bad news! Bad news, this isn’t a new chapter, but the good news is that I just finished my English project and handed it in and did just about everything else I needed to get done…so, that means I am free to start writing again. I don’t want to promise anything, but I might even have the next chapter up by this weekend. In the meantime, I just want to thank everyone for their ideas and suggestions!!! You have no idea how much it helps!

blue: Yeah, so I shortened you name hope you don’t mind-I get confused in spelling it because word likes to change it. Anyways, you are an awesome person who reviews every single chapter on TWO sites-thanks so much for that! And thanks a bunch for the ideas-I think I’m going to use ‘you and me’ I love that song! And for the rest, I came up with rot your teeth fluff (or so I hope-I think it’s sweet), so wait for that! Thanks again!!!

star del mar: Thanks for the review! Yeah, Chloe and dress shopping would be a debacle, but she’s marrying Lex and I think it’s safe to assume any woman would do anything for that man! I love cute Lex-there need to be more cute Lex’s. Anyways, thanks for the review!

hfce: Yeah so I didn’t mean to be a tease, but I really needed the help and I’m working on getting seven done soon. Oh side note, you are an awesome person too because for every story on this site, you have reviewed at least once you deserve some :cake: ! Thanks for the words!

Louie: Thanks for the review! And, like I said before you might not have to wait the whole time till the eighth and I think it’s so awesome that you counted two weeks! Thanks for that!

Kit Merlot: Another review-thanks!!! Yeah, so about Chloe’s mom I really hate the fact that she left Chloe so I think I want to make her absence due to death because I figure in my story, if her mom really wanted to see her, she would because the articles in the paper have been running for about two years and that would allow her mom to know what’s going on in her daughter’s life. If she’s not here now to help her celebrate, I don’t think she deserves to be there. Sounds mean I know, but my mom is like my best friend so I guess all I’m saying is that Chloe should feel her mom wants her there because she loves her, not because she’s guilty or feels obligated. Does that make sense? Anyways, thanks and I hope to get some more chlex lovin in soon!

meg20: Thanks for your review! I’m so glad you like all this fluff-this story was a direct result of the Chlex fluffage (well, over at ff.net anyways). Oh and thanks so much for your suggestion for the song! Again, thanks and I hope to get the next chapter up soon!

bunnylyn33: Thanks for your ideas!!! I really appreciate them and the whole business about reading smut, taking notes and bringing a fan and water had me laughing for a long period of time! And yes, it never hurts to help! I appreciate it so much! Thanks!

It really is a great song for a wedding. I'm a genius, aren't I?

Yes, I know I am, thank you very much. *accepts roses thrown from audience*

Chapter Seven:

Reporter History Made: Sullivan Agrees to Interview

Words cannot describe the extreme joy coursing through my body. I, Adam Fienne, have gotten Chloe Sullivan to agree to an interview with me. Now, I know most people think it isn’t hard to get her to agree, as she’s an aspiring reporter herself and understands the woes we reporters face, but this is the closest any reporter is going to get to the Luthors and thus, my extreme elation.

I’m not ashamed that I basically ambushed her into the interview as soon as I saw her at this week’s latest movie premiere, as I knew the opportunity was just too good to pass up. Of course, I drooled a bit, catching a glimpse of the blonde’s fiancée, who I am sorry to report, was glued to the reporter’s side, many a times, holding her and lazily kissing her. Let me just say now, again for the millionth time, Chloe Sullivan you are one lucky woman! Maybe I can drag some Lex details out of her during our interview. One can hope can’t he?

Stay tuned for more (hopefully the interview).

Adam Fienne.

Two Weeks Left:

According to Maria, this was, in wedding time, crunch time, as Lex and Chloe had outdone themselves and allotted the wedding planning time to only a few days over a month. The wedding was two weeks away and still, they had things to take of-some important, some not. Currently, Chloe and Maria were in department store, wanting to get away form the clammy study of the penthouse; Chloe randomly browsing bathing suits for the upcoming summer and possibly her honeymoon and Maria, shooting questions at her.

“What do you want for the bouquets,” Maria continued.

“For the girls, white roses and for me, pink calla lilies,” she replied, holding out a yellow bikini for Maria’s opinion.

Shaking her head no, she asked in shock, “Pink? I thought you hated all things pink?”

“I don’t hate all things pink. I just have a deep dislike for some, but they were my mom’s favorite flowers and this way, I can be close to her. She died when I was five-some jackass drunk hit her at a red light and I really don’t remember much about her, but I remember that pink calla lilies were her favorite. I don’t know if this is a real memory or something I made up, hoping to be close to her, but I remember her telling me about her wedding and that when it was my turn, I’d get pink lilies too. This way, she can be there, without being there you know? Okay, what’s next?”

Maria knew that Chloe had accepted her mother’s death and thus, made no attempt to apologize. Instead, she continued, “I’m sending over cake samples tonight for you and Lex to try out and the design, what do you want?”

“I liked that one called ‘fountain of paradise’ and then we can have a whole bunch of other ones because this one cake is not going to feed the fifty billion people Lionel and Lex have invited,” Chloe responded picturing the three-tier cake that spread out from the last tier via a staircase to form two other tiers on the each side and had a running fountain under the main tier.

“Wedding song?”

“I think we decided on ‘You and Me’ by Lifehouse. And you booked a band right?”

“Yeah. Invitations?”

“Already taken care of. We already picked out the design and the list was completed as of last night. Lionel invited the whole fregin world, saying it was good for business. Did you know there are like five hundred people on this list? And I’m sure they’re all going to come-no one would dare to miss a chance to talk business with the Luthors, no matter how limited the time notice. Argh”

“It’ll be fine. Why don’t you try on the black halter,” Maria asked, following Chloe to the fitting room. “Okay, what about food?”

“Oh, Lex called some catering company so that’s all set.”

“Rings?”

“Lex.”

“Aw, he’s too cute sometimes,” snickered Maria.

“Yeah, and if he ever hears that you called him cute, I don’t think you’d be planning weddings anymore. I tell him all the time, but he just says ‘Luthors are debonair, not cute.’ Yeah, whatever,” exclaimed Chloe.

The shopping trip ended with Chloe not purchasing anything, Maria finishing her inquiries about the wedding and plans for the final dress fitting at Hemra’s.

On Lex’s end, he had arranged for his groomsmen to have their tuxes fitted and later delivered, as well as his own. He arranged for the rings to be custom made, despite the fact they were plain platinum bands with the message ‘For always 6.23.05’ engraved on the inside. Honeymoon plans were next and he had no idea as to where to go-he wanted to show Chloe the world, but knew she’d refuse and tell him to pick one place and one place only. With that in mind, he knew the perfect place for their first trip as man and wife-his, or soon to be their, very own island. As a way to conquer the breakdown he had had on the island, he bought the place and visited it every so often, slowly coming to terms with his ordeal. From the honeymoon on though, he would only have positive memories of the place, as he planned on making love to Chloe on every square inch of the condo he had built there and the island itself-the beach, the woods, everything was fair grounds. And he knew Chloe wouldn’t really object.

One Week Left:

It was Pete and Lana’s three-year anniversary and Chloe, being the great godmother she was, pulled babysitting duty for baby Brooke, Lex helping as well. Deny all he want, everyone knew he adored that baby with all his heart, telling her all stupid sorts of nonsense and spoiling her as if she were her own. He was this bad with only a friend’s child, so Chloe often wondered how snotty and spoiled her children would become with Lex’s constant spoilage-the other Luthors, Lucas and Lionel, and her own father too, were also going to be sources of spoilage.

Currently, Brooke was laying contently in Lex’s arms, her small fist fisted in his gray t-shirt, peacefully sucking on the bottle of warm milk, eyes starting to close.

“I think she’s starting to fall asleep,” said Chloe, walking into the room, keeping her voice low so not to wake the drifting infant in Lex’s arms.

“Hmm, yeah,” whispered Lex, still completely mesmerized by the baby in his arms. “I can’t wait for those ten babies of our own,” he replied, wiggling his eyebrows.

“You wish. Oh and Lex, you’ve gone completely soft,” she responded, holding back her snickers.

“I have not. I just have this weak spot for you and Brooke. Okay, most babies and you. They’re just so amazing and tiny. So small Chloe,” he replied getting a far away look in his eyes. Now, if Chloe were to tell anyone else about the baby loving side of the Luthor heir, they would never believe her and he would adamantly deny the allegations. No, no one else knew about his soft side and no one would, except maybe for those ten or so kids.

Once Brooke’s breathing evened out and her fisted hand now lay limp against Lex’s chest, Lex stood and brought her over to the guest bedroom and placed her in the crib he had delivered the first time he and Chloe babysat for Pete and Lana. Setting her baby radio on, he ventured out of the room and into his own, getting ready for bed and then sliding into it, pulling Chloe flush against his body. His last thoughts were on his first babysitting experience with Brooke.

“Chloe, remind me again why we’re doing this,” groaned Lex.

“Because, Pete and Lana deserve a break and besides I haven’t seen my goddaughter since her Christening. Besides, think of it as a learning experience for the future,” and that was where Chloe ended her sentence, giving Lex a chaste kiss on the lips and snuggling into his warmth, soon falling asleep.

The Next Morning:

“Lex, what the hell happened here,” asked Chloe, rubbing the sleep out of her eyes and taking in the picture around her. Toys, millions of toys, were scattered across the living room of the penthouse as well as the freshly assembled crib off to the side.

“Well, we happen to be babysitting, so I thought I might get a head start by getting some items. She needs toys to play with and a crib to sleep in. I simply took care of the problem,” he responded, trying to clear some of the toys off the floor and onto the leather couch.

“Oh my god. Lex Luthor, you are such a sucker. That little girl is going to have you wrapped around her tiny little fingers and then, you won’t know what hit you,” replied Chloe, chuckling all the way to the kitchen.

Coming to the kitchen, he replied, “What are you talking about? She’s a tiny baby, she’s harmless.”

“You may think that now, but I’ve seen her with Clark and even with his abnormal abilities he isn’t able to resist her and is thus, wrapped in her tiny little fingers. And I love her for it-that she can make grown men do whatever she wants.” Putting the now empty cereal bowl in the sink, she continued, “Anyways, I have to go run an errand, but don’t worry I’ll be back before Lana and Pete drop her off.” With that, she kissed him goodbye and left him to his own devices.

Some time later, Chloe wasn’t back still, but there was a knock on the penthouse door. Going to get the door, he was surprised to see Lana standing there carrying a baby carrier with a sleeping Brooke inside and Pete, who stood next to his wife.

“Lana, Pete, what are you doing here,” asked Lex, moving aside, as to let them in.

“I thought Chloe told you that we were going to drop off Brooke with you guys,” replied Lana. “And it looks like she did tell you by all the baby stuff littered here. And Lex please don’t tell me you bought all this for her-I mean I appreciate it, but she doesn’t anymore spoiling.”

“So where is Chloe,” asked Pete.

“I don’t know she told me she was going to run an errand or two, but that probably means she went to chase after a story and lost track of time. Let me call here and see where she is.” After briefly chatting with Chloe, he turned to his friends and said, “There was an accident on the freeway, so now she’s stuck in traffic in her car, but should be back in a little while. Do you want anything to eat or drink?”

“No thanks-we really need to get going. Our flight leaves soon. Look Lex, I know you’re uncomfortable with babies and have no experience, but it’s easy I promise and she just fell asleep so she won’t wake up for like an hour or two and Chloe will be back by then. Just leave her in her seat and she’ll be fine. Can you handle that,” asked Lana.

“Yeah, sure. Have a great time guys, I can do this and besides, Chloe will be back home anytime.”

“Great. Thanks for doing this Lex. All her stuff is in the bag,” replied Lana, who went to kiss her daughter goodbye, as did her husband.

When they left, Lex went to move Brooke with him to his office, so that he could keep an eye on the sleeping baby. Currently, she was perched up on his desk, as he attempted to get through some contracts. Taking a peek at her, he was able to deduce that she too would attract the hoard of men her mother had been able to. Brooke was the perfect mix of Lana and Pete with darkened tan skin, huge brown eyes and a heart-melting smile.

“You really are going to drive all those boys crazy,” began Lex, talking to the sleeping baby. “Your dad will shoot all of them, but still.” Somehow during his talk, she woke up and was now rubbing the sleep out of her eyes with her small fisted hands.

“Well, good morning to you too sleepy,” Lex said ruffling the small tuft of brown hair on her head, getting out baby gurgles from Brooke.

“Don’t tell anyone this, especially your godmother, but I’m going to marry her and then have a billion babies with her. Do you think she’ll agree,” questioned Lex, now taking the giggling baby out of her carrier. “Yeah, I didn’t think so either. Maybe a million instead.”

The traffic jam turned out to be nothing at all, but nonetheless, took over two hours to get away from and now all Chloe wanted to do was go home and take a long, warm bath and rid the stress away from her body. Upon entering the penthouse though, the stress melted away from her body and her heart melted, as she found Lex sleeping upright on the leather couch with a sleeping Brooke on his chest, small palm flat against his chest and the toys once again littered on the floor along with a small picture book. Kissing them both on the tops of their heads, Chloe decided to let the two sleep and went about getting her work done.

Some time later, Brooke woke up wailing and that of course, spurred Lex to automatically get up and go into protective and authoritative mode. Chloe walked in on Lex trying to soothe Brooke, but nothing seemed to work.

“When was the last time you fed her,” asked Chloe, coming into the room, after following the loud wails.

“Umm, I didn’t. We kind of fell asleep. And when’d you get home,” he asked, still running his hands up and down Brooke’s back, in an attempt to get her to calm down.

“Just a while ago. Grab her bag, find a bottle of milk and warm it up in the microwave, while I go change her diaper-I think she could use one of those too,” replied Chloe taking the baby out of his arms.

Once she was changed, Chloe brought her back into the kitchen where Lex was waiting, bottle in hand. Taking the bottle out of his hands, Chloe attempted to feed Brooke, but she just started crying and squirming. Chloe than tried comforting her by rubbing her back and tickling her, but even that was met with more wailing and hostility. Not knowing what to do, she handed the baby over to Lex and told him, “You try.”

As soon as Brooke was placed in Lex’s arms, she effectively stopped her crying and reached for the bottle now rested in Lex’s hands. Placing the bottle in her mouth, Lex moved to the couch where he could sit down and continue to feed the tiny girl in his arms.

“Oh my god. My own goddaughter hates me,” replied Chloe, watching with fascinated eyes the events taking place before her.

“No she doesn’t. She just likes me better,” Lex replied cheekily.

“Shut up Lex.”

“Chloe, you know that’s not true. I was only kidding. Besides, she let you take her before. I think it’s because I promised to buy her a pony.”

“What? Oh god, Lana’s going to kill me. She made me promise no spoilage on your part.”

“My part? What about yours?”

“Well, I don’t count. I don’t have enough money to buy Brooke her own fregin pony. You do and that’s why I was told to keep the spoiling down to a minimum, but now, I guess that’s not going to happen.”

When the bottle was finished, Chloe carefully took Brooke from Lex’s arms and when she wasn’t met with loud wails, she proceeded to burp Brooke. The crying incident before was the only major problem for the day and the rest of the visit, and the whole babysitting experience furthered Lex’s desire to have billions of babies with Chloe. Lex was now wrapped around Brooke’s fingers and both Chloe and Lana were far too amused, while Pete offered some sympathy.

“You have no idea what you’ve gotten yourself into. She looks like this little angel, but let me tell you, when she wants something, she’ll smile that smile of hers at you and you’ll be sold. Trust me, I’ve been on the receiving end of that smile too many times to count,” said Pete, offering his sympathy.

Lex, although he would never admit it, was sad to see Brooke go, but he secretly promised her that he would find reasons to visit her in Smallville or throw dinner parties, inviting her parents so that they would have to bring her. Chloe knew then that he was gone for sure.

Four Days Left:

Most of the plans had been finalized and everything was set for the big day, which was now only four days away. Chloe was ecstatic and couldn’t wait any longer to be Mrs. Luthor, while Lex was a nervous wreck, thinking that Chloe would come to her senses and leave him. Chloe caught his pensive mood and sought to eradicate those thoughts, ensuring him that she wasn’t going anywhere and that she couldn’t wait to marry him.

“I promise Lex. I’ve told you a billion times okay. I’m not going anywhere. I’ve stuck by you for over two years now.”

Pulling her closer to his body and covering her in his sheets, he snuggled into her hair and replied, “I know, I guess I just worry sometimes. Okay, I’m done now. So what about wedding gifts-what do you want?”

“I told you that a million times too I don’t want one. You don’t have to get me anything.”

Despite her answer, she knew he was still going to surprise her with something, so it was good that she had purchased her gift for him, right after her trip to the doctor’s for a routine checkup.

“Night Chlo,” Lex said kissing her head.

“Mmm, night Lex.”

Two Days Left:

“Lex, I’m leaving. I’ll be back later for dinner. I have that interview with Adam now. And don’t worry I won’t divulge any Luthor secrets,” Chloe said, kissing him goodbye.

“I wasn’t worried about that. Have a good time.”

Adam had arranged for them to meet at the Metropolis Grill on the upper side of the city and Chloe was now waiting for the waiter to seat her. Upon noticing her arrival Adam stood up and kissed Chloe’s hand, only releasing it to let her sit down.

“You have no idea how glad I am that you agreed to the interview,” began Adam.

“Yes, well I know how it feels to want an interview so bad. When I was running the Torch, you wouldn’t believe how many times I begged Lex for an interview and well, you know how Luthors are with interviews,” chuckled Chloe.

And with that, the two proceeded with the interview and while Chloe was answering all of Adam’s questions, Maria was putting together all the last minute details, including another last minute fitting, which she knew Chloe was going to be none to pleased with. Lex, too, was making his own plans, picking up his tuxedo, the rings and finalizing the honeymoon plans.

Hemra’s:

“Maria, where are you,” asked a grumpy Chloe. “You know how much I hate being primped and prodded at.”

“We know Chloe and I’m sorry, but my obsessive compulsiveness was getting to me and I wanted to make sure everything was perfect,” came the answer from Joseph.

“I know, it’s okay really. I’m just tired. Oh, did you get the invite Joseph?”

“Of course, and you’ll be happy to know, I shall be honored to attend your wedding.”

“Oh goodie. I have no idea who’s coming the wedding anymore-there are at least a billion of them.”

“Okay all done. I’ll have this dropped off at Lucas’s right?”

“Yeah. I’m spending the night there before the wedding-stupid traditions and all,” said Chloe, spying Maria emerging from the office.

“Oh good, you’re done. Thanks for coming Chloe, I know you hate all this,” said Maria, finally coming to stop in front of her.

“Yeah, yeah. Let me get out of this and we’ll go. I have to ask something of you.”

Carefully getting out of her dress, she handed it back to Joseph who bagged it and hung it back up. Chloe than proceeded to hook arms with Maria and bidding goodbye to Joseph, made her way out of the shop. Sitting on a park bench, Chloe began to talk to Maria.

“I’m not going to yell,” she began. “I just wanted to ask you to be at the wedding.”

“I already RSVP’d Chloe. I got the invite a while ago.”

“No I know that, but I wanted to ask you to be there as a friend, not a wedding planner. You’ve become one of my good friends Maria and I want us to remain friends and not go our separate ways once the wedding is over. So, I’m asking you now, would you come to mine and Lex’s wedding, as our friend?”

“Oh Chloe, of course,” replied Maria, throwing her arms around Maria.

“Great. Okay let me let you go to do your last minute stuff.”

Walking away, Chloe finally realized that she was getting married and in less than two days too. With that in mind she smiled and went back home to the love of her life and soon to be husband.

Author’s Note: Okay so was it worth the wait? This was supposed to be up this afternoon, but i had to put in hours at my little brother's baseball game and then his orchestra concert-ahh the woes of having a well-rounded brother. I tried to add in some fluff, but this is kind of a filler chapter, so not much. The interview will be in the next chapter so send in the questions you want Adam to ask Chloe-about Lex, life, anything-I just really need questions. Oh and here are links if anyone wants to see the stuff described.

Oh my gosh! I just checked the links for the dresses and flowers and stuff. Chloe's dress is absolutely gorgeous.

Anyway, so yes, I have already reviewed at ff.net, so u kno I picked up the pregnancy thing. I would quote it, but I want people to find it for themselves.

It was so sweet the way Lex was around Brooke. I'm sure he'll spoil his own child even more, and I can't wait!'

Oh yes, to be that glass.

And, yes, I know the genius in me. ;) but it's always nice to be agknowledged. Thanks!

I'm glad you're back! I had seen your other posts but woefully no updates. This one was a goody though especially because I just loved seeing Lex with the baby, he's too cute. I can't believe it's almost time for the wedding! And while I would love to give you suggestions on questions I am decidely horrible at being original when it comes to interviews. I bet everyone else will have some good one's. Update again soon!!

Okay, so I'm back. I have been racking my brain for interview questions and have come up with the following.

1. Any plans for a baby Luthor in the future? (Oh, come on. You know me, I had to put it there.)

2. So, wedding plans. Big, small, church, outdoor? The dress, the rings? Details please.

That’s all I’ve gotten so far and now it’s time for sleep but rest assured, I will be back!

Okay, the pictures of the dresses, both Chloe's and her bridesmaids, were very beautiful--thanks for giving us the links!

As for questions: Have Adam asking Chloe about when she and Lex might have kids would be okay, but I would love to see Adam act as though Chloe is his girlfriend, and try to get her to dish about Lex. Like what, if anything he wears to bed, what is his favorite movie, just any question a gay man inlove with the Sexy would ask! :grin3:

And I'm not trying to be offensive about Adam's being gay, but he, like all of us, seems to be of the opinion that Lex is a hot piece of man meat, so he'd want all the details he could get.

Anyway, your story is awesome, and I can't wait for more.

So I actually almost missed the chapter, but then I didn't thank goodness.

The Brooke stuff was so cute. and having a routin doctors exam before she bought Lex his gift, phh, that sounds like baby and baby stuff. I seem to have a one track mind in this fic. Really I'm not normally this bad.

Loved the brides maid dresses and Chloe's flowers.

I think you should ask really inapropriat questions at first so we can all laugh. he he like is Lex bauld everywhere...that is very inapropriate. I also always love it when Chloe is a smart-ass and those kinds of questions give her a chance to show it.

Oh that was such a sweet update and thanks for the cake. :blinkkiss I love the dress and flowers and the cake is beautiful. I can't wait until the wedding chapter.

I want Chloe to be asked If she will continue to work once she has kids? Or will she work from home while taking care of the kids?-

How many kids does she plan to have? Will they be home schooled or sent to private or public school?

Will she get into writing books in fiction/nonfiction like J.K. Rowling or Murder Mystery type books?

Hope :D

Hey guys! I'm so glad you liked the latest installment of this and wow, I can't believe it's almost over, but whatever I have the saga planned out! Oh and I am so glad you guys liked the cake and dresses and stuff-I think it helps to see what an author is trying to describe because my shotty writing doesn't detail as well as the real image! Umm...now for the questions-I really love all the suggestions so thanks a billion!

And based on those questions...I have a few of my own!

hfce: so yeah your questions are easy and stuff I planned on including anyway because we all now by now that I have been suckered into making Chloe pregnant (just kidding-I love Lex as a dad :)), but do you have any preferences?

Louie: Haha your question had me laughing so hard! So, do you want Lex to be bald everywhere cuz I really don't have a preference because it can go either way considering he has eyebrows and eyelashes. Also, would questions about their sex life suffice as inappropriate? Ahh I just need some Chloe snark and that will be the hard part, but I will try my best!

Kit Merlot: Yeah, so your questions are basically what I had planned on having Adam ask Chloe! And don't be defensive about Adam's being gay because that's exactly how I wanted to have him be-I mean lex/michael is really really hott and Adam appreciates that hottness lol! So don't apologize or whatever! And yeah, so what do you want the answers to your questions to be-he will wear boxers to bed though-sorry my pet peeve!

Blue: How can I forget the baby questions! I mean, I’d do it just for you! You are insanely obsessed with baby Luthors! And I feel horrible because over at ff.net someone thinks that Lex and Chloe are going to have quadruplets and I mean they will have a hoard of kids, but not all at once-sorry, but twins is as far as I go!

To the others: I haven’t forgot you guys, this is just for the people who left questions and I just wanted their opinion! I will thank you a whole bunch when the next chapter gets out!!! Thanks in advance though! And feel free to put in any input about the questions and stuff because I won’t get around to typing the chapter until Friday at the least.

Anyone want a peek at the next chapter?

Yeah, I thought so! (scroll down)

Chloe and Lex’s respective bachelorette/engagement shower and bachelor parties
Dinner rehearsal-what the hell goes on during this?
The interview

So this chapter will be a long one because I’ve got some awesome Lex fluff (or I hope it is)

Anyways, thanks a million guys! you deserve a piece of chloe and lex's :cake: !!!

I want cake!

Anyway, I am not obsessed with the little baby Luthors, I am simply devoted to making it happen. Do we see the distinction? Yeah, I though so.

Hmm... bachelor/bachelorette parties...I wonder what will go on then...

Louie
7th June 2005, 05:56
what I was thinking her answer could be was "well I've never seen him where a topie so he must be bald everywhere" or something like that. Not really anything dirty.

Dinner rehearsal are really quiet boring you just go over where everyone has to be when and practice the serimony and stuff. Sometimes people do last minute advice for the ingaged couple and stuff like that, I'm sure you'll find a way to spice it up.

Woho Cake, mmmm, I can I have a vanilla piece or is it a coffee flavored cake cause if it is I think I'll pass.

I also noticed how you did not say anything about the routine doctors exam. Does that mean I was right? :yeahbaby:

8th June 2005, 18:01
I forgot to mention that I love that you had an explanation about Chloe's mom dying. That was good to know!

Okay, I want Lex's favorite movie to be Fight Club, because I love the image of MR's Lex punching Clark across the face :D

And as for what Lex wears to bed? Preferably Chloe  Oh my, it's hot in here! I love the idea of his just wearing silk pajama bottoms, in a variety of colors.

And as for cake, I would like chocolate chip cake with chocolate frosting. OH YEAH!!

Author’s Note: I think this will be the last chapter for a while because school ended Friday (even though the last day is Monday-don’t ask my school is dumb) and our block exams begin on Tuesday so I have to study! I might get a little break to maybe write something and who knows I might be able to finish because on average this takes me about two to three hours to write, but then again that might not happen because I have to be in Syracuse for this AIDS conference (I don’t have AIDS, I teach about it I guess.) So yeah, this is as fluffy as I can get and it’s also the longest I’ve written so far! Hope you enjoyed it! Oh yeah, this baby is almost done *tears*, well not really because I have the next one in my mind and that’s where I get to have the most fun with Lex!

Chapter Eight:

Daily Planet Building:

In his Daily Planet office sat Adam Fienne, now putting the final touches on his article-the one that contained the interview he had conducted with the blonde reporter just a few hours ago.

“Finished, finally done,” he cried out into the empty office, as he fine tooth combed the article, one that would possibly further his career. Taking a last glance of the computer screen, he was content with what he had found and let his mind wander to the interview at hand.

“Well, Miss Sullivan, I cannot begin to thank you for meeting with me, but thanks anyways,” began Adam.

“It’s no problem. I understand how it is when asking for an interview. And please, call me Chloe.”

“Okay, Chloe, to divulge the love I hold for your fiancée, let me begin with questions about him,” replied Adam with a naughty grin.

“Sure, but I promise I can’t answer everything,” answered Chloe, beginning to get worried.

“Oh, well, yes I understand. So, is Mr. Luthor really bald everywhere,” asked Adam, diving straight in, looking as cool and confident as ever, totally ignoring the fact that he asked her such a naughty question, filled with so many implications.

There it was in the open now. And now, he could possibly get the answer to the question that haunted his every conscious thought about the man. If he thought he’d get a straight answer, though, he should have been locked up in a mental ward, padded walls and all.

“ Whoa. Talk about a loaded question. And to answer that, think about it real long and hard. Have you ever seen him with any hair,” responded Chloe, trying to keep her cool, but failing miserably, as her blushed cheeks contrasted with her red blouse.

“Eh, I knew it wasn’t going to work, so how about some other questions. Most of these were sent in by our readers, so my naughty mind is no longer involved, but some questions might be mine, so be warned.”

“Good to know. Please continue,” answered Chloe, the wheels and gears in her mind turning at the thoughts of what the readers could possibly have to ask.

“What are the wedding plans? Church? No church? Big? Small? Possibly when and where,” began Adam.

“Hmm, I can’t divulge all the plans. Big church. Humungous wedding. And it’ll be harder than that to get the date and place out of me,” she replied, all too cheekily.

“I always knew you were a smart woman-I wouldn’t even tell me” replied Adam and with a wave of his hand, he began once again, “So what are your plans after marriage?”

“Umm, mind blowing sex,” deadpanned Chloe and once she saw the shocked expression on Adam’s face, she amended, “You know what every normal married couple does. Enjoy our time together, buy a house, have babies-you know all that jazz.”

“Oh. So do you have any plans for children?”

“We’ve discussed them, yes, but let’s just wait until he and I get married. He and I both want kids-Lex even more so than me, not that I don’t want any, he just loves them and has this desire to spoil them rotten. And I think I can trust you to keep some parts like these off the record.”

“Oh don’t worry about it Chloe. So, can I ask you some more questions now-these won’t make the paper,” said Adam, looking more like a pouting puppy than the society pages reporter he was.

“Sure,” chuckled Chloe in response.

“What are you planning to do once you start popping out those Luthor heirs? Are you still going to pursue journalism or become an author? Write some murder mysteries possibly?”

“I’ve been thinking about this a lot as of late actually. I think I might look into freelancing-it’s still journalism. And maybe I could ask Lex to buy me my own paper so I can work from home and still care for his babies, but the book options sound nice too-I may have a few ideas yet” chuckled Chloe.

“So are you planning on raising them yourself?”

“My children? Oh absolutely. I mean my only experience comes from my goddaughter Brooke, but I’ll wing it. There is no way on this green earth that my children will be raised by anyone other than Lex and me-friends and family aside. And none of that boarding school crap either. Possibly a prep school here in Metropolis, but that’s as far as I’ll go.”

“Okay, so totally off topic, what does Lex wear to bed?”

“Me. Just kidding. It depends really, sometimes the bed sheets after we’ve you know, made love, but the rest of the time just boxers or his pajama bottoms. I always wake up in the arms of a bare chest though,” replied Chloe, somewhat blushing.

“You’re one lucky woman. Umm, how about his favorite pastime? Favorite food? Favorite movie?”

“He loves reading and snuggling, but don’t tell him I told you that. Food would be anything not bought by me-apparently, me eating habits aren’t healthy, as I tend to ‘eat artificial garbage’, and those are his words mind you. And favorite movie, I think it’s ‘Fight Club’-he often fantasizes that he could just get rid of all his adversaries by punching them in the face.”

“That’s interesting. Umm, how about his favorite position,” asked Adam, wiggling his brows suggestively, fully knowing Chloe wouldn’t tell him.

“Ugh Adam, what did I say about types of questions, but you know what I’ll tell you. Consider it revenge because I am the only person Lex will sleep with. So, his favorite position is” and she was about to tell the reporter that Lex claimed to love making slow love to her on the bed, but Adam interrupted.

“No! I don’t want to know. Leave me to my fantasies.”

“You having fantasies about my fiancée is just wrong,” she replied.

“Honey, I’m not the only one. That lover of yours is one fine piece of man hunk.”

The interview went on like that for a while, Adam sometimes getting serious and asking Chloe questions about her views of life and politics, but mostly, it was filled with talks about Lex.

Pushing the print button, Adam headed down the pressroom, to see his creation firsthand.

The Penthouse-Next Morning:

Chloe awoke first this morning and was of course comfortably tucked in Lex’s arms, her face facing him, so that she could look at him and take in his features. No man should be this beautiful was often the thought that ran rampant in her mind when she took the time to admire him. Sensing that Chloe was awake and watching him, Lex began to rouse, pulling his fiancée closer into his arms.

“Hi,” said Chloe, as she spotted Lex’s now open eyes.

Pulling her for a chaste kiss on the lips, he replied, “Hi to you too.”

“Guess what,” asked Chloe, pulling away from him, so she could take in his face.

“What,” he questioned, pulling her back into his arms.

“We’re getting married tomorrow.”

“Happiest day of my life,” he responded pulling her in for morning kisses, morning breath be damned. Their plans however, were thwarted by the now insistent knocking at the door. Not really expecting anyone, the two put on their robes and made their way to the front door, ready to tell the person awaiting on the other side to bugger off. All attempts at dismissal were thwarted when they saw Lucas and Lana awaiting on the other side.

“Luc, Lana, what are you guys doing here,” asked a somewhat sleepy Chloe.

Suddenly getting all bashful, Lana replied, “Well, since you wouldn’t let us girls throw you a proper engagement shower, we’ve decided to kidnap you for the day for a combined engagement shower and bachelorette party. And Lucas is here by order of the men to throw Lex his own bachelor party. And no arguments Chloe-we’ll have you both at the hall in time for the dinner rehearsal.”

Chloe and Lex knew they would never win with the two people standing in front of them, especially if they were sent by the others, so with that resolve in mind, the two lazily changed into their clothing and kissed each other goodbye, for they wouldn’t be seeing each other until the dinner rehearsal.

Lois’ Apartment:

Lana had brought Chloe over to Lois’ Metropolis apartment and here she was sitting front and center of more than a dozen women. Lois, Lana, Summer, Madison, Maria and Mrs. Kent were obviously present, but the other women consisted of Chloe’s friends made in college and some from the dull social events Lex had brought her to over the years. After hellos and pleasantries were exchanged, the women sat Chloe down to take part in games and just chat.

“So, I’m curious, how and when did you all plan this? And who was behind the idea?”

“Well, I’ll take the blame in that Chloe,” came the voice of Martha Kent.

“Mrs. Kent, seriously? I expected maybe Lana or Maddie, but you?”

“Yes sweetheart, me. Chloe, I’ve always considered you to be my daughter and when I found out that you declined the girls’ idea for the party, I just knew I had to throw you a surprise one, never taking ‘no’ as an answer. There are some things that have to be done Chloe when it comes to getting married-this is one of them. So, who wants to play a ‘Marry’ the wedding version of Bingo? Same rules, just spell out ‘Marry’ and prizes to the first three.”

While the others were getting the supplies ready for their game, Chloe took that time to wrap her arms around Martha and whisper, “Thank you so much Mrs. Kent,” her gesture getting across the exact feelings she was feeling.

The game was an eventful one with Maddie winning the first place prize of a spa gift certificate, Maria winning an extensive set of bath products and Liza, a debutante Chloe met through Lex, walking away with some scented candles. After the some more wedding themed games, the girls ate tons of food and were now sitting around Chloe, who was sitting on the floor of the couch, waiting for her to open all of her gifts.

“Okay who’s first,” asked Chloe.

“Here’s mine Chloe,” came the gift from Lois’ hands. Opening the gift up, Chloe eyes began to cloud up with tears. In the box was a silver plated picture frame with two hearts on the base, a denser small heart for decoration and the bigger heart that caused Chloe to tear up. Engraved in the bigger heart was the message ‘Lex & Chloe; Children’s Gala; 4.27.04’ and in the frame was a picture of her and Lex at the gala; since she hadn’t seen this picture before, she took it upon herself to examine it. The picture featured Lex’s strong gaze on her, as she smiled her mega-watt smile, but the most striking thing was the obvious love radiating from the two lovers, facing each other, oblivious to the camera that captured that perfect moment.

“Lois, this is perfect. Thank you so much. Where’d you get this picture, the gala took place over a year ago,” replied Chloe, no longer gaping at the present.

“I called in a favor from one of the guys at the Planet. Okay who’s next,” asked Lois, taking charge.

“Me,” came the voice from Madison.

From Madison, Chloe was presented with a bag filled with gag gifts from all the women; these gifts including edible lingerie, chocolate body sauce, handcuffs, condoms and even a vibrator. Upon seeing the vibrator, Summer began to laugh, confusing the rest of the girls and when questioned about her odd behavior she replied, “Like Chloe would ever need a vibrator-the Luthor men are very talented in all things naughty,” to which she was met with gasps, as Summer was to them, the innocent belle who would wait till marriage to have sex. “What, you know it’s true. Chloe and Lex are always going at it guys, you know that-he must be good. I mean, Lucas is,” and with that came the blush, letting all the girls know that this was still the same innocent girl, just, no longer a virgin.

“Umm thanks guys. I’ll make sure to use these sometime,” came Chloe’s response.

The gag bag obviously wasn’t Maddie’s real gift, so Chloe was presented with her real gift, which also made Chloe tear up.

‘Stupid hormones,’ thought Chloe, as she cleared away the tissue paper that held her gift. Inside the periwinkle tissue paper was an original painting done by Madison, but that wasn’t even the best part; the painting was of penthouse, set up the way it was the night Lex proposed. Every last detail was catered to-rose petals on the floor, dinner set for two, the cleared out den, everything to capture one of the greatest moments of Chloe’s life.

“Maddie, thank you so much,” replied a choked up Chloe, hugging her friend.

By the end of the party, Chloe had received candles, a calming waterfall machine, a book of poetry, lingerie, gift certificates and other assortments. All in all, it was a great time.

Lucas’ Apartment:

Bruce Wayne planned on going all out and ordering for his old school mate strippers and lots of alcohol, but he knew neither Chloe nor Lex would appreciate the gesture-Chloe for obvious reasons and Lex, well, he was too in love with the blonde reporter to even consider enjoying a good lap dance. So, here they were, just Lex, Bruce, Lucas, Clark, Pete, Lionel and Gabe, hanging about the living room of the apartment, drinking some brandy and scotch to toast Lex and Chloe’s happiness.

Lex expected the men in the room to do their manly parts and tell him that he was to treat Chloe with all the love and respect in the world, as each of the men cared and loved the love of his own life, but what he got was glasses of scotch. He obviously spoke too soon, as the men began to speak.

“I know we haven’t seen eye to eye over the years Lex, but I am so proud of you and the man that you have become. She brings out the best in you and makes you even stronger, so if you even do anything remotely stupid as to jeopardize your relationship with Chloe, I’ll make your experience on the island seem like a tropical vacation,” came the determined voice of Lionel. Yep, he too was taken by the blonde reporter, emphasis on reporter.

“No problems dad and the rest of you. You can spare me the bit about doing right by Chloe. I’ve done it for over two years now and I plan on doing it for the rest of my life, so no worries. I will never hurt her, physically or emotionally, cheat on her, lie to her or anything else that will cause her pain. Although, child labor I will not be held accountable for-there will be pain, but hey, she’s always willing,” replied Lex, covering all his bases.

“I so didn’t need to hear that,” came the voice of Gabe. And to everyone else’s chuckles, he continued, “Despite that though, Lex you are an amazing man and I couldn’t have asked for a better man to take care of Chloe. Thank you son. I know you’ll treat her well.”

‘This is some bachelor party,’ thought Lex, but it was worth it-he would rather sit around with the people he cared more about than have some random stripper dance around him. The only person he wanted half naked dancing around him was currently over at her cousin’s house, celebrating the engagement with her own friends.

Omni Colonnade:

The wedding reception was to take place in this gigantic room comprised of marble floors, gold chandeliers, spiraling staircases that met in the middle and led out to the balcony, marble columns and every other dalliance imaginable, but for the rehearsal dinner, only the outer room, which was considerable smaller and yet still large, was being used. As soon as Chloe saw Lex’s baldhead, she ran up to him and because he had his back to her, she jumped onto his back, draping her arms and legs around his neck and waist, respectively. Knowing it was she, he turned his head to the side to properly greet her with a kiss, but that too was interrupted by Gabe clearing his throat, ushering the two lovers inside the room.

The dinner was long and boring, but at least now, the two lovers were together, mostly playing footsy with each other, as the others went through a dry run of the ceremony. Pretty soon, it was over and Lex knew he was to ‘hand’ Chloe over to Lucas, so that she could uphold the wedding traditions of luck, as insisted by Lana, but he wanted to show her just one thing before the night was over, the romantic in him urging him to do so. Promising Lana and Lucas that he would drop Chloe off at Lucas’ before the night was up, he stole Chloe away, so he could show her exactly how much she meant to him.

The trip was a short one, but Lex insisted that Chloe not peek until he told her so, as it was a surprise; she obliged, knowing she couldn’t deny him anything, but when he told her to open her eyes and she found herself at the church, confusion clouded her mind.

“This is the big surprise Lex? You brought me to a church,” Chloe asked, clearly puzzled.

“Yes, but that’s not the surprise,” Lex replied, getting down on one knee, he spoke again, “Chloe Elizabeth Sullivan, will you marry me?”

“Very funny Lex. You know we’re getting married here tomorrow. Get up, what’s all this about?”

Getting up from his kneeling position, Lex sat Chloe down in the pews of the church and taking her hands, began his reasoning for his second proposal, “Chlo, I know you wanted a small wedding with our own private vows, but somewhere along the line, our wedding just turned into this spectator sport with people guessing when and where it would happen and us having to invite all those people. I know you agreed to the standard vows only because it would be easier, but I’m here now, asking you to marry me. Just you, me and God, no one else. We can say whatever we want and from this day forward, you will be my wife in here,” he stated taking her hand and resting it above his heart. “We don’t need a piece of paper to tell us that or some fancy party-just you and me Chlo. What do you say?”

Choking on her emotions, Chloe was able to get out a, “Yes, of course I will. I’d love to marry you Lex.”

With that, Lex pulled her to her feet, wiped her tears and stood her at her place at the alter, taking his own across from her.

Looking into her eyes he began, “I love you Sleepyhead, I love you more than anything in the world and all I want to do is spend the rest of my life with you. I know I’m not the simplest man to love and I have my moments, but you’ve stuck by my side for all this time and there are no words to show you how much I appreciate that. You’ve taught me so much Chlo-how to trust people, how to make brownies and every other oddity, how to let things go, but most of all, you’ve taught me how to love and for that, I will spend the rest of my life showing you just how much I love you. I promise to love you, to cherish you and protect you for as long as I live. Whether you want it or not, you will always have my heart-I belong to you Miss. Sullivan, forever and always.”

Wiping the tears now running freely down her cheeks, Chloe responded, “I love you Lex, I think a part of me always has. You’re my first and only love and I am so happy that you’re now going to be my husband. I know I’m stubborn at times and I don’t listen to you when you ask me to take some extra precaution, but you too have stuck by my side and that’s only one of the reasons why I love you so much. You’ve taught me how to love Lex, love like forever, not those stupid childhood crushes we all have. I want to give you everything I can-love, happiness and even a few of those ten children. I promise to love and cherish you till my last breath, comfort you and hold you, give you support when you need it. You too, have my heart. I am bound to you, forever and always.”

As soon as her lips ushered her last words, Lex’s lips were on hers, pulling her into his arms and kissing her for all he was worth, only pulling back when air became an issue.

“Oh, before it forget, wait here for a second, I’ll be right back,” said Lex.

“More surprises,” asked Chloe, as Lex came walking back into the church, gift-wrapped present behind his back. “A girl could get used to this.”

Sitting down once again on the pews, Lex gave Chloe her gift, explaining to her that this was her wedding present.

“You jerk, you said we weren’t doing presents,” replied Chloe, taking the box from him. “But don’t worry I have yours too, it’s just at Lucas’-I’ll get it to you tomorrow.”

“I knew you were going to get me one, so I thought I’d return the favor. So, hurry up, I want to hear what you think.”

Carefully opening the wrapping paper, Chloe was met with a plain hardcover journal with a scarlet ribbon used to fasten it.

“You’re always telling me that you’re going to go buy a journal some time, but you never do, so I thought I’d take it upon myself to get you one. Plus, we’re beginning this great new journey, I want you to write about as you experience it and let your words do magic. You can even write about how much you want to kill me if I become too unreasonable,” replied Lex, a way of explaining the simple gift.

“Thank you Lex, this is perfect-not too obscene and just, personal. I love it and don’t worry, I’ll be sure to write all about how unreasonable you get. Thank you.”

“Let’s get you back to Lucas’ before Lana kills me,” came Lex’s voice, nodding to her thanks.

“I love you so much Lex.”

“I love you too Chlo.”

The two made their way back to Lucas’ apartment in little time, where they were met with a relieved Lana.

“Oh thank god. I thought you were going to kidnap her and not follow the traditions,” came Lana’s voice. “I know you hate it-I did too, but it is tradition.”

“And since when have Lex and I followed any tradition,” asked Chloe.

“Well, you’re going to have to now,” replied Lana. “Now, say goodbye to your lovely fiancée and I’ll make sure he leaves.”

“Do you think pregnancy makes you crazy as well,” asked Chloe, going to kiss Lex goodbye.

“Hmm, we’ll have to see, but Lana’s been crazy to begin with,” replied Lex.

“Hey, I heard that,” came Lana’s voice, now ushering Lex out of the apartment.

“I’ll see you tomorrow Chlo, bright and early. I love you,” he whispered in her ear.

“I can’t wait. I love you too,” she whispered back, letting him get hauled away by Lana.

Lucas’ Apartment-Sometime Later:

Chloe was as anxious as any bride to be could be and thus, she was now perched on the couch, eating her favorite flavor of double chocolate chunk ice cream.

“Luc,” she called loudly in the huge apartment.

“What, what’s wrong,” came Lucas’ voice, worried beyond belief, knowing Lex would kill him if anything happened to her, not to mention, this girl was his own best friend.

“Luc, I’m getting married tomorrow,” came her simple response.

“That’s it. That’s why you got me all worried and had me running in here?”

“Sorry, but I just, wow. I never really thought about it before-I mean I told Lex this morning, but I never thought more about it. I’m scared Luc.”

“Scared? You?”

“Well, yes. I mean married life is much different than just going out and living together.”

“Yes, but only by a little. I know you Gizmo. You’ll do fine, I promise. You and Lex love each other more than anything in this world.”

“I’m not worried about him loving me, but what if we get into a fight or something?”

“Gizmo, I’m not a marriage expert or anything, but all I know is marriage is all about compromise-you gotta give a little and let some go. You two will be fine-you’re practically married anyways. And besides, if all else fails, just put on some sexy lingerie and Lex will agree to anything. So, are you okay now?”

“Yeah, I just kinda had a semi-panic attack.”

“So Gizmo, you’re almost my sister now.”

“Yeah, imagine that. I’ll still kick your ass though.”

“I wouldn’t expect anything less. Now, get to bed you-you’ve got a long day ahead of you.”

“Yeah, I can’t wait. Luc?”

“Yea Gizmo?”

“Thank you. I don’t know what I’d do without you.”

“Same here Chloe and don’t mention it.”

Hugging him goodnight, Chloe made her way into her bedroom and got ready for bed and once she was lying in her bed, ready to sleep, she kept her gaze on the ceiling, saying to the empty room, “I’m getting married tomorrow,” before finally nodding off to sleep.

Lex, on the other hand, was a nervous wreck with no one to console him, but despite his nerves, he was happier than a sixteen-year-old boy about to lose his virginity-he was going to marry the love of his life in less than a day.

Our Lucky Day: An Inside Scoop On The Lives Of The Luthors

When I last reported on the lives of Luthors and the soon to be Luthor, I relayed my shock to readers that Chloe Sullivan agreed to an interview, but despite that, she still held up her end of the deal and met me for an interview over lunch. Before I divulge into the secrets of the Luthors, though, I would just like to say that Lex Luthor is one lucky man. I now understand why this spitfire reporter has the love and respect of all those around her. I mean who can resist her wit and charm? Chloe Sullivan, you truly are a gem. And for the highlights of the interview, please go to page Society 7.

Hope you enjoy it-I certainly did.

Adam Fienne.

Author’s Note: So yeah, did you like it? I was so lucky that my friend’s sister’s engagement shower was this past weekend so I nicked off a few ideas-well, most of them. The vow idea was inspired by (disgusting) couple Nikolas and Emily on General Hospital. Not much else to say, so I’m going to head to the thank you’s!

Oh, before I forget, here’s the picture frame I was talking about before: http://www.thingsremembered.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/product_10001_10001_532073_-1_537 I love this damn store even though they have ridiculous prices for engravings.

Thank You’s:

This was just a beautiful chapter! You answered all of our questions well, and I thought Chloe was perfectly snarky :D

The vows in the church were wonderfully heartfelt, and I also think that Chloe would rather have had a smaller wedding.

Can't wait for the actaul wedding!

Look at me not posting right after I read the chapter, that was silly. Now the first thing I remember thinking after reading this was 'Cute' now I don't know if that was directed at the story or you...it was probably both because the wedding scene was cute(because they have now fafilled all of the qualifications I have that make two people married) and your just adorable for writing it the way you did.

And I don't know if you will read this but if you are I have one thing to say,

Shouldn't you be studying young lady!

hehehe, hope you do well.

Chapter Nine:

The Penthouse (Lex):

Never really having to wake up by himself, Lex never really realized how much he missed waking up with Chloe wrapped tightly in his arms, as this morning, he woke to cold sheets and no blonde in sight. Realizing the reason behind his fiancée’s absence, his face broke out in a grin, as there would no longer be mornings of empty arms-well, unless he was away during business, but he was sure he could cajole Chloe to join him. He had only six more hours to go till he could see his beautiful girl and marry her, beginning their new lives and he was more than a nervous wreck, last night’s drink having no calming effect on him.

Lucas’ Apartment (Chloe):

Chloe, too, missed the feeling of warmth that Lex had provided her with in the mornings, but she had bigger problems on her hands, as Lana was currently opening the curtains in the guestroom, demanding that Chloe get out of bed and get ready.

Groaning, Chloe said, “Lana, it’s only eight. I definitely have like six hours till I say ‘I do’ so chill.”

“Chill? You want me to chill,” shrieked Lana. “Yes the wedding is in six hours, but you have to shower, get your hair done, get makeup put on, change into your dress, get the veil put on and a whole bunch of other stuff and knowing you, all that will take more than the six hours we have.”

“Okay, okay, no need to bite my head off,” replied Chloe, now getting out of the bed. “Where’s Lucas?”

“Unlike some people, he got up already and made his way over to Lex’s.”

“Oh, so I’m allowed to go to Lex’s now. Well, I’ll be seeing you later than Lana.”

“Funny. Get your cute behind in the shower and pronto.”

“Whatever happened to the pink princess that wouldn’t hurt a fly,” asked Chloe, already closing the door, so that Lana never had a chance to respond.

Knowing Lana would be on her like a fly on poop, Chloe took a quick shower, allowing for enough time to shampoo and condition and more importantly think-shaving wasn’t necessary, as Chloe was subjected to a painful body wax the week prior. Emerging from the shower, Chloe was assaulted by Lana and the billion things that needed to be done before the two o’clock wedding.

“Lana, before you continue, there’s something I have to do okay,” cutting off Lana’s tirade about what needed to be done. “I promise I won’t go see Lex or anything like that, but there is someone I need to talk to okay. It’ll take an hour tops. I’ll still be here at that wedding, primped and groomed, looking as gorgeous as you want me to be. Trust me, there is nothing more I want than to be Mrs. Lex Luthor, okay? So, just let me have this hour, alright?”

With Lana’s nod of understanding, Chloe left and made her way to her destination.

The Penthouse:

An hour or so later, all of Lex’s friends, family and soon to be family had decided that his penthouse was the gathering place, and thus, were all sprawled out on the couches that adorned the spacious living room.

“So, you and my little girl are getting married today,” mused Gabe, giving Lex a steely look. “I know I never have to tell you this, especially in two consecutive instances, but if you hurt my little girl, I will kill you, but not before I torture you.”

“Same goes for the rest of us,” came Bruce’s voice, speaking for Lucas, Pete, Lionel and Clark.

“Yeah, I know, but rest assured, I won’t do anything to hurt her. I love her too much.”

“Aw, look at my brother the sap,” said Lucas.

“Shut up Lucas. Let’s see how much of a sap you are when you and Summer finally go off and get married,” Lex shot back, his voice not really carrying any venom.

The men had decided that they would all use the guest baths to shower and get ready, as their tuxedos were already stored in the penthouse. From there, they would all go to the church around noon and wait with Lex, for what would be the longest two hours of his life.

Metropolis Cemetery:

Chloe felt like a horrible daughter for not visiting as often as she should, but she had been so busy with her own life. Standing at the slate gray grave, flowers in hand, Chloe could feel the tears starting to gather in her eyes, as her emotions and hormones were on overdrive. Sitting down now on the bench her father had placed next to the grave, Chloe placed some pink calla lilies on her mother’s grave, taking the time to gather her thoughts.

“I’m getting married today mommy. I already told you all about Lex and that we were getting married in my last visit, but everything happened so fast and I haven’t had some free time to visit you. Daddy’s doing fine. He misses you like hell though mom. I do too. I really wish you were here right now, but in a way I guess you are. You promised me you’d always be with me and you’ve never broken a promise before so I’m going to continue believing that you’re here with me. I picked out those pink calla lilies you were always going on about for my wedding bouquet. Lana was shocked at my pick, but in my own way, it was to be closer to you, as silly as that sounds. You have no idea how excited and scared I am. I mean this is going to be a whole new life, but in the end I know it’ll be okay, I have Lex with me. I wish you could have met mommy-you’d love him so much. He’s so great and he makes me so happy and daddy likes him, a lot actually. Anyways, I hate to go, but I promised Lana I’d be back soon, so I’m going to get back now. I love you mommy and I’ll always be watching the stars for you. Wish me luck,” said Chloe, moving to go, but before actually leaving, applying a kiss on the plane headstone that read ‘Elizabeth Sullivan, beloved wife and mother’.

Chloe had made it back in the hour Lana allotted for her, but because she took that extra hour, she was quickly assaulted by the hair dresser the second she walked through the door.

“Hey, are you okay,” asked a concerned Lana, as the hair people were curling Chloe’s hair, so that when it was swept up into the elegant knot on top of her head, curls would fall down her neck.

“Yeah, just got caught up in everything,” replied Chloe and although Lana was hesitant to believe her, agreed anyway. “Where are the rest of the girls?”

“They’ll be here shortly after their own hair and makeup is done. And don’t worry about me, I’m up after you as soon as the makeup gods take you away.”

“Makeup gods, Lana?”

“Well, yeah. Have you seen what they can do?”

“I’ll just take your word for it.”

After hair and makeup was done, it was time for another tradition, which Chloe had cleverly dubbed ‘The Somethings’.

“Okay, bring them on guys,” said Chloe. The girls decided that they were going to worry about the items Chloe would need, as she had far too much to do as it was.

“I’ll go first girls,” said Martha, coming towards the seated Chloe and pulling out a square shaped box, continued, “Jonathan gave this to bracelet to me the night of our wedding and told me that it was to bring us luck and even though we haven’t been the richest folks, we’ve been the happiest. So, as something old, I would be honored if you would wear this Chloe.”

Opening the box, Chloe was met with the most exquisite bar bracelet in silver with tiny diamonds adoring each square and within the squares, each criss-cross.

“Oh, Martha, thank you so much. I’d be honored,” replied Chloe, pulling the Kent matriarch into a hug.

“Okay, me now,” came Maddie’s voice. “And it’s the clichéd blue item, but come on, let one thing be clichéd.”

What else could be in the bag, but a blue garter, and sliding the item in place, Chloe replied, “I still appreciate it Maddie. So, who got me something new?”

“That’d be us,” came the voice of Lana, pointing to herself and Summer, who pushed the small box into Chloe’s hands, both girls accepting Chloe’s hugs and thanks.

The small box revealed drop earrings beginning with diamonds and ending with black jade stones, flaring out in size.

“You guys, this is so much, but thank you so much. I love them.”

“And last but not least, your borrowed item comes from me,” said Maria, pushing a large box into Chloe’s hands.

The box opened to reveal a chain of pearls and a silver x shaped clasp, used to keep the pearls together.

“They were my grandmother’s. She gave them to me before she died and said that she would love nothing more than to have me wear them at my own wedding, but since that isn’t happening anytime soon, I thought you could use them. If you guys would have met, you would have love each other-she was a reporter too Chloe and she was just like you, curious as hell and determined like crazy. I know she’d be happy if you were to wear them, as would I,” said Maria, explaining the importance of the pearls.

“I’m honored. Thanks so much you guys. I really appreciate all these gifts. And now, you can help me get the rest of them on and then my dress because it’s about time for me to get ready and meet the photographer,” said Chloe, wiping any stray tears she might have, all the while thinking, ‘Thank the gods for water proof makeup’. The dress was poufed and puffed and altered and finally, Chloe was in the heavy, but exquisite, gown, ready for the photographer to snap away.

Soon enough, it was nearing two o’clock and the photographer was done taking pictures of just her, telling her that she and Lex would have to sneak away from the reception some time later for the coupled shots. Chloe could care less-all she wanted to do was marry Lex.

‘Why didn’t I just elope the man,’ she caught herself asking the question many times during the whole process.

Standing in a room provided by the church to keep the bride and groom separated, she paced the length of the small room, waiting for any indication that she could see her fiancée. Instead, she got her dad and more waiting, not that she minded seeing her dad.

“Daddy, what time is it?”

“Just about time Pumpkin. You sure you want to do this because you can back out you know.”

“I want this daddy-I’ve never been more sure in my life. I love Lex more than anything, you know that.”

“I know, but I was just making sure. Oh sweetie, I’m so happy for you right now. Your mom would be so happy if she were still with us.”

“ I went to see her today daddy. In some ways, she’s still here, so I’m okay with that. Oh man, this is really it isn’t it? I mean, I’m going to be Lex’s wife and eventually, I’ll be a mom. Wow. Is it okay to be really really scared daddy?”

“It’s only normal Pumpkin, I promise. This is a big step. It helps, though, that you and Lex love each other more than life itself,” came Gabe’s reassuring response, before Maria came in the room, saying it was time.

“Well, here begins the rest of my life,” said Chloe, breaking out in a super mega-watt smile.

The groomsmen and bride’s maids all walked arm in arm and went to their respective places on either side of where the bride and groom were to stand. The Wedding March played and taking her dad’s arm, Chloe began the traditional walk, taking the time to look around her, admiring Maria’s hard work. The church was beautifully decorated with flowers hanging off each pew and the sun shining through the stained glass, every single one of the five hundred people standing up, eyes trained on the happy bride. Lex had never looked more beautiful, as he stood with his hands clasped together in front of him, smile adorned on his face, never holding back and yet, still looking nervous, as he titled on his heels. To Lex, Chloe was the most beautiful thing in the world and while watching her walk down the aisle, nothing else mattered, but her, the rest of the people damned. Finally, Gabe and Chloe made their way all the way down the long aisle and now, Gabe handed off his little girl to the man of her dreams, never needing to lift the veil, as it was only attached by a clip on top of her hair and thus, only for show.

Putting a hand on Lex’s shoulder, he whispered, “Take care of my little girl Lex,” and with Lex’s nod, Gabe took his place behind the couple.

Staring at each other, Lex broke the silence by whispering, “Hey sleepyhead.”

To which she whispered back, “Hi Lex,” before the minister began his speech.

“Dearly Beloved, we are gathered together here in the sign of God – and in the face of this company – to join together this man and this woman in holy matrimony, which is commended to be honorable among all men; and therefore – is not by any – to be entered into unadvisedly or lightly – but reverently, discreetly, advisedly and solemnly. Into this holy estate these two persons present now come to be joined. If any person can show just cause why they may not be joined together – let them speak now or forever hold their peace.”

And when no one objected, the minister continued, “Marriage is the union of husband and wife in heart, body and mind. It is intended for their mutual joy – and for the help and comfort given on another in prosperity and adversity. But more importantly – it is a means through which a stable and loving environment may be attained.

“Through marriage, Alexander and Chloe make a commitment together to face their disappointments – embrace their dreams – realize their hopes – and accept each other’s failures. Alexander and Chloe will promise one another to aspire to these ideals throughout their lives together – through mutual understanding – openness – and sensitivity to each other.

“We are here today – before God – because marriage is one of His most sacred wishes – to witness the joining in marriage of Alexander and Chloe. This occasion marks the celebration of love and commitment with which this man and this woman begin their life together. And now – through me – He joins you together in one of the holiest bonds.

“Who gives this woman in marriage to this man?”

“I do,” said Gabe.

And with that, Gabe took his own seat in the front row pew, next to the Kents and the minister continued, “This is a beginning and a continuation of their growth as individuals. With mutual care, respect, responsibility and knowledge comes the affirmation of each one’s own life happiness, growth and freedom.

“With respect for individual boundaries comes the freedom to love unconditionally. Within the emotional safety of a loving relationship – the knowledge self-offered one another becomes the fertile soil for continued growth. With care and responsibility towards self and one another comes the potential for full and happy lives.

“By gathering together all the wishes of happiness and our fondest hopes for Alexander and Chloe from all present here, we assure them that our hearts are in tune with theirs. These moments are so meaningful to all of us, for ‘what greater thing is there for two human souls than to feel that they are joined together – to strengthen each other in all labor – to minister to each other in all sorrow – to share with each other in all gladness’.

“This relationship stands for love, loyalty, honesty and trust, but most of all for friendship. Before they knew love, they were friends, and it was from this seed of friendship that is their destiny. Do not think that you can direct the course of love – for love, if it finds you worthy, shall direct you.

“Marriage is an act of faith and a personal commitment as well as a moral and physical union between two people. Marriage has been described as the best and most important relationship that can exist between them. It is the construction of their love and trust into a single growing energy of spiritual life. It is amoral commitment that requires and deserves daily attention. Marriage should be a life long consecration of the ideal of loving kindness – backed with the will to make it last.”

Facing Lex, the minister asked, “Do you Alexander take Chloe to be your wife – to live together after God’s ordinance – in the holy estate of matrimony? Will you love her, comfort her, honor and keep her, in sickness and in health, for richer, for poorer, for better, for worse, in sadness and in joy, to cherish and continually bestow upon her your heart’s deepest devotion, forsaking all others, keep yourself only unto her as long as you both shall live?”

Lex, keeping his gaze fixed on Chloe, replied, “I will,” never second guessing himself.

Satisfied with the positive answer, the minister turned now to Chloe and asked, “Do you Chloe take Alexander to be your husband – to live together after God’s ordinance – in the holy estate of matrimony? Will you love him, comfort him, honor and keep him, in sickness and in health, for richer, for poorer, for better, for worse, in sadness and in joy, to cherish and continually bestow upon him your heart’s deepest devotion, forsaking all others, keep yourself only unto him as long as you both shall live?”

Keeping her eyes locked with Lex’s, Chloe broke out into a huge smile before replying, “I will.”

“What token of your love do you offer? Would you place the rings in my hand,” and with that, Clark handed over the rings to Lex, who in turn, placed them in the Minister’s hands.

“May these rings be blessed as the symbol of this affectionate unity. These two lives are now joined in one unbroken circle. Wherever they go – may they always return to one another. May these two find in each other the love for which all men and women year. May they grow in understanding and in compassion. May the home which they establish together be such a place that many will find there a friend. May these rings on their fingers symbolize the touch of the spirit of love in their hearts.”

Taking one ring, the minister gave it to Lex and continued, “Alexander, in placing this ring on Chloe’s finger, repeat after me: Chloe, you are now consecrated to me as my wife from this day forward and I give you this ring as the pledge of my love and as the symbol of our unity and with this ring, I thee wed,” which Lex repeated.

With that, the minister took the other ring and gave it to Chloe, telling her, “Chloe, in placing this ring on Alexander’s finger, repeat after me: Alexander, you are now consecrate to me as my husband from this day forward and I give you this ring as the pledge of my love and as the symbol of our unity and with this ring, I thee wed,” which Chloe repeated back.

“May you always share with each other the gifts of love – be one in heart and in mind – may you always create a home together that puts in your hearts – love – generosity and kindness.

“In as much as Alexander and Chloe have consented together in marriage before this company of friends and family and have pledged their faith – and declared their unity by giving and receiving a ring – are now joined.

“You have pronounced yourselves husband and wife but remember to always be each other’s best friend.

“What – therefore – God has joined together – let no man put asunder.

“And so, by the power vested in me by the State of Kansas and Almighty God, I now pronounce you man and wife – and may your days be good and long upon the earth.

“You may now kiss the bride.”

Lex never needed to be told twice, as he swept Chloe into his arms and pulled her into a passionate kiss, pulling back when he realized that they were in a church full of family, friends and business associates.

“I love you Mrs. Luthor,” said Lex, taking Chloe’s hand and kissing her swollen lips, this time, the kiss a mere brushing of lips.

“I love you too Mr. Luthor.”

The two made their way out of the church and surprisingly enough, were not met with the flashes of millions of eager reporters, waiting for them at the front entrance of the church. Headed over to the hall where their reception would take place, Chloe and Lex had never been more content in their lives-they finally got married and could now, look forward to all the things married life had to offer.

Author’s Note: So yeah, I was going to add in the reception, but I figured I’d do that in the next chapter because this one is longer than the others and I need more fluff for the end before Chloe tells Lex the happy news (but you all knew that didn’t you) lol. The wedding vows are taken from a website and I put up a link so it’s like citing it because honestly I could never come up with that! Hope you guys enjoyed that!

PS: When I finish this, do I just send a private message to one of the moderators in this forum to have them move it to the completed section? If you know, please let me know!

PPS: Might be the last chapter for a while-maybe. I have to leave for Syracuse soon and work related garbage, but hopefully, I can finish out this part of the saga.

Thank You’s:

hfce: Thanks for the review-I can always count on you for those J! I’m glad you liked the last one and the wedding is over now, but next will be the reception and honeymoon and then the end, which will be followed by another story! Yay! Oh and thanks for your feedback on the other two stories I randomly decided I needed to write lol! Hope you enjoyed this! And, thanks for wishing me luck on my exams-only physics is left, ugh. xoxo, meeaz.

blue: Thanks for the feedback-I swear its because of you that I’ve become such a feedback whore, but that’s okay I love it! Yeah so you’re on step closer to the baby Luthors! And thanks for the feedback on the other two stories-there were TWO baby Luthors in those! Hope you enjoyed this one! xoxo, meeaz.

meg20: Thanks for the review! And yeah, so many people are waiting for those babies-I hope I don’t let you guys down. Anyways, thanks for the reviews and I hope you enjoyed this chapter too! xoxo, meeaz.

Kit Merlot: Thanks for your review! I’m glad you liked the interview and thought that Chloe was snarky enough! And yeah, the wedding idea I knicked from general hospital, but I wanted to put it in cuz it would be all fluffy and cute and then for the real wedding I could use the traditional vows. Hope you enjoyed reading this! xoxo, meeaz.

Louie: Thanks for the review! Aw, I’m so glad you liked the little wedding vow scene-I thought it would be so cute to put it in there so I did lol. And I actually got your message when it was time for my English regents, but since I’ve taken a billion practice tests and our original one got snowed out and then canceled, I felt the need to not study oop. Let’s hope I did well-I only have physics left which is going to be my downfall. Whatever. Thanks again and I hope you enjoyed this! xoxo, meeaz.

Sab Luthor: Hey thanks for your review! I’m always glad when people like my story so, I’m happy you found it! As for the OOCness of the characters I think I put up that everyone loves each other in this because I honestly hate the whole deal with Lionel and Lex and Clark and just about everyone else. I wanted Chloe and Lex to have a lot of friends and family and so to make that happen I needed everyone to like each other. I’m glad though, that you like this Chloe. And the proposition actually is what I would want cuz I think things should be private and sentimental not public and go with the flow kinda things, but that’s just me. And I knew I’d get into trouble with the whole ten babies business-everyone wants them. I need to like go write an angst story after this. Anyways, I hope you enjoyed. xoxo, meeaz.

star del mar: Thanks for the feedback! Ooh sun soaking sounds nice, but just don’t forget the sunblock-I’m already brown so I don’t need any sun or else I look ugh hehe. Anywyas, I hope you enjoyed the wedding! xoxo, meeaz.

Chloe’s engagement ring-I don’t know if I put the link up for this or not before, but enjoy

Just a typical *meeaz updated!!!!!!!!!!!!!!* kinda day.

ALTHOUGH,

In your AN to me I did notice that when you mentioned little baby Luthor, you said that i was one step closer to the baby luthors. does this mean I get two?!?!?!?!?!?!?!

Well, I'm not going to get my hopes up so I'll just go off into my own little world where the baby Luthors rule the planet....

This chapter was very emotional--I actually started crying when Chloe visted her mom's grave and was talking to her.

I also got a tad bit teary eyed when Martha and the bridesmaids gave Chloe her "something borrowed, something blue" stuff. And the wedding was beautifully described.

Excellent, just excellent :D

And once again, thanks for the links!

Ok firstly snow? do you live in like Australia, *mumbles something about snow in june being just wrong* Just kiddingThough I did just live through like the hottest day of my life last week.

So seriously (lets see if I can pull it off) it was just a lovly wedding. I'm glad the media didn't find out before had. and I can't wait for the reseption where hopefully people will toast the bride and groom with many silly stories about them(Lex and Chloe) making fools out of themselves.

The grave scene was nice, showing how much your Chloe feels about her family.

PS I know how you feel with physics can you believe that I failed three out of four exams in my class and still paced with a C(low 70's). If I can do it I'm sure you can. I actually had a science teacher who told me I did really well considereing I did not understand a thing.

anyone care to inspire me? possible tell me what the hell to write? lol. the reception should be fun i guess, but argh, i feel like i'm at a brick wall. i swear when i get home from the hospital (no worries-it's just work) i will write this last chapter.

oh and for the continued saga-would you guys like to see nine months of pregnant chloe or should i just skip to when the baby is born (blue, you vote for this right? lol) because i'm liking that option, but whatever, i'm willing to do either.

anyways, will try to wrap this up eventually! thanks soooooooooo much for the support and kind words!

Author’s Note: I apologize for my lack of update-I’ve caught the summer’s plague in which I do nothing all day long! Also, I haven’t been to a wedding in a long time, so forgive me if this isn’t the order of events that go on during a reception.

Please forgive me for the cheesiness, fluff, mush, etc. that is this chapter!!!

Chapter Ten:

As soon as the couple walked away from the church’s stairs, they were whisked away into their limo, from which they would be taken to the photographer’s set.

“How about we just run away now,” asked Lex, placing kisses down Chloe’s neck.

“I’m all for it, as long as you’re the one to explain to my dad, your dad, Maria and especially Lana why we bailed,” responded Chloe.

“Fine, way to ruin all my fun,” Lex, said, pouting, or as close a Luthor came to pouting, as he pictured the irate Lana, berating him for skipping out on his own reception.

Lex pulled away from her neck sometime later to tell her, “I love you Chloe or should I now refer to you as Mrs. Luthor.”

“Umm, no. Chloe will be fine and I still can’t believe you got me to take your full name. Men aren’t supposed to withhold sex Lex, only women can do that,” she sighed, still ticked that Lex threatened to withhold sex if she didn’t change her name to Luthor and Luthor alone. She knew he was kidding when he made that threat, but somehow the cheeky bastard had gotten her to promise and here she was now Mrs. Lex Luthor, not that she minded in the least-she just loved teasing Lex about it. “Jeez, I can’t believe we’re actually married. And I love you too,” said Chloe, pulling her husband into another kiss. Pulling out of the kiss she said, “Oh crap. I forgot to give you your wedding gift. Here Lex. I hope you like it,” handing him the gift, as she took it out of one of the limo’s compartments.

Once he opened the heavy box, he was met with a leather bound journal filled with Chloe’s writing. Chloe urged Lex to read the first page, in order to explain the gift.

‘Lex, I know you love to read poetry-I know you do so don’t bother denying it-so I wrote down a bunch of poems that reminded me of you-everything to do with love and happiness and even the loss and despair you have gone through. Let these be the words that guide you, when no one else can. There is space left so you can add in the ones that you like, although I think I got most of them. I love you, Chloe.’

“Chlo, I don’t even know what to say. This must have taken you forever. Thank you, love,” said Lex, placing a chaste kiss on her lips.

“Hmm, it did take forever so don’t let me find that thing on the bottom of our bed collecting dust. It doesn’t matter though, I love you and I’d do anything for you,” she replied, pulling him into a passionate kiss, cutting off anything Lex might have tried to voice.

The rather heavy make out session ended rather abruptly when Andrew told the couple they were at the photographer’s location. Mika, the photographer, chose to take the pictures near a small lake that had a small wooden arc bridge that allowed people to walk over the lake. The couple had hundreds of pictures taken of them near the lake, on the bridge, sitting on the ground and every other possible way and place and they only had more pictures to look forward to at the reception, which was fast approaching, as the clock neared seven. Deciding that enough pictures were taken, Lex and Chloe said their thanks to Mika and made their way into the limo, taking them to Omni Colonnade.

Omni Colonnade was magnificent even when it was plain, but now, as it was decorated for the wedding reception, the hall, was the most beautiful place.

‘Luthor money does wonders,’ thought Chloe, taking in the open space, huge chandeliers hanging down, flowers everywhere. The huge windows were draped with heavy curtains, set apart, allowing in whatever sunlight could get in. Each table featured two white long stemmed dinner candles, an arrangement of pink and red roses in every which shade and some other flowers, name placements for each guest and the usual cutlery. The main table where Chloe and Lex sat, along with their bridal party entailed the same arrangement, minus the candles and the small arrangement of flowers. Instead, there was a humongous vase filled with other kinds of pink flowers and around the vase was an assortment of red and pink floating candles and rose petals of the same color.

It was half past seven now and still, people were arriving, as Lex and Chloe stood, along with the bridal party, near the front entrance, thanking all those that came.

Leaning into Lex some time later, Chloe whispered to him, “If I have to smile and be nice any longer, I’m going to go insane.”

Before Lex could even begin to appease his irate wife, Maria came over to the couple and announced that they should take their seats, as dinner was about to be served. Taking their seats at the main table, the couple ate a wonderful meal which seemed to consist of every which cuisine. With dinner done, it was now time to move on to the most embarrassing stories the couple’s friends could come up with, also known as the toasts.

Clark, being the best man, obviously went first. Taking a sip of his champagne, he began, “So, you think I’d be good at this by now, having done it twice before already and sorry Lex for the obvious dig, but she made me do it,” pointing to Chloe. “It never gets easy though, but all I can do is speak from my heart and wish you two the best. From the minute I met her, Chloe has always been the stubborn and headstrong, ‘I’ll kick your ass’ girl we all know and love with no luck at all in matters of the heart, but honestly how can you expect to find love with the boy that is trying to steal your body warmth,” said Clark, getting a laugh from the residents of Smallville and looks of shock from the tycoon businessmen. “It made perfect sense though because all Chloe needed was a man who was just as stubborn as her, but would appease to her whims, within reason, of course. You guys are perfect for each other-you balance each other out and reach compromises that suit you both. When Chloe wants to go out investigating, Lex sends bodyguards, making sure that she is protected, but at the same time, getting her work done, or when Chloe wants to eat her junk food, Lex lets her, so long as she adds in one healthy item. You two balance each other out and because of that, you two will be able to conquer anything-well, maybe not your children because we all know that those children will be the most stubborn and brilliant in the world. So, with these words, Chloe and Lex, I wish you both a life of love and happiness, may you two prosper in both your strengths and weaknesses. Congratulations you guys. To Lex and Chloe,” finished Clark, raising his glass, toasting the couple.

Lex brought the champagne glass to his lips and from the corner of his eye, he noticed that Chloe had her water glass near her mouth, not sipping from the cup at all, her champagne untouched. Getting worried, he whispered to her, “Chlo, sweetie, why aren’t you drinking anything?”

“Oh. My stomach has just been at odds with me so I just don’t want to do anything to further aggravate it. Water will be fine,” Chloe responded, as if she was prepared for the question.

Accepting her answer, Lex turned to Gabe and Lionel who took Clark’s place.

“Well, Lex has been warned enough not to hurt my baby girl, so I the only thing I want to tell the two of them is to be happy and enjoy their life together. Welcome to the family Lex. Congratulations Pumpkin, Lex,” said Gabe, suspending his glass in the air, allowing Lionel to give his toast.

“My sentiments are with Gabe, so congratulations children and welcome to the family Chloe. Oh and Gabe and I wouldn’t mind a few grandchildren to spoil either,” said Lionel, throwing a playful smirk to his son and daughter in law.

“Don’t worry about that dad-I’ll get straight to it as soon as I get her to the penthouse,” replied Lex, not at all affected by his father’s comment, unlike Chloe who turned beet red at both Lionel and Lex’s words, burying her head into her hands, embarrassed at the fact her husband and her father in law were talking about her and Lex’s sex life and in front of her father no less.

It was now Lucas’ turn and before going to the area that served as the toasting section, he went to Chloe’s side and placed a kiss on her forehead, saying, “Welcome to the family Gizmo.” He then took his place at the toasting area and began, “So my part in this is to poke fun at my brother and my little sister since Clark took to all the well wishing. Okay, once, there was a very stubborn girl who had a crush on an equally stubborn billionaire and they would both steal glances at each other, thinking no one noticed, but, there was also a handsome and intelligent person, who saw through the glances the two gave each other. After watching the stubborn two for a bit more, he confronted them both and soon after the two relented and admitted that they had feelings for one another, but swore the handsome man to secrecy. Well, the handsome man had to do something because he couldn’t let his best friend and brother just think their love was unrequited, and quite honestly, he was sick and tired of hearing them bitch and moan about each other. So, being the very brilliant man he was, he used his powers of sneakiness and intelligence to set the two on a blind date and well, the stubborn girl and the stubborn billionaire sit before you now and as for the handsome man, well, here I am,” getting many laughs from the guests. Sobering up though, Lucas said, “Jokes aside guys, you two deserve the very best and I’ll be damned if you don’t find it in each other. I wish you the best and congrats once again,” raising his glass too.

Once Lucas was done, Lana, Summer, Maddie, Bruce and some others took their turns sharing their well wishes and thoughts for the couple, giving them encouraging words and wishes for the best.

Maria announced to the entire hall that it was time for the couple’s first dance, so Lex being the closet romantic he was, got out of his seat and with hand stretched out towards his wife asked, “May I have this dance?”

“Do you even have to ask,” whispered Chloe, letting Lex pull her into his arms.

As they made their way to the dance floor, everyone turned their heads to look at the young coupled as they made their way to share their very first dance as husband and wife.

Once they got to the dance floor, Lex took Chloe into his arms and waited for the music to start. The music started to play, but for the life of her, Chloe couldn’t figure out where it was coming from, as the band hired for the night took their seats and there wasn’t a CD player or radio in sight. As soon as the those thoughts entered her mind, one of the curtains lifted to show a live band that played the tune of Lifehouse’s ‘You and Me’, Lex and Chloe’s decided wedding song-more like the song Chloe wanted and Lex let her have, along with anything else she could have wanted. Taking a closer look at the band though, Chloe was surprised to see Lifehouse at her wedding, playing her wedding song.

“You jackass, you were supposed to get a CD of the song, not the actual band,” said Chloe, smacking Lex on the arm.

“I know, but I thought you’d appreciate the live version of it, now please do be quiet so I can enjoy this dance.”

There's something about you now
I can't quite figure out
Everything she does is beautiful
Everything she does is right

“Thank you Lex,” she responded, snuggling further into his arms.

“I love you sleepyhead, forever. You are the most beautiful thing here and I really can’t keep my eyes off you. And I never even told you how beautiful you look. You do, though love and you always will, even when you first wake up, grumbling about coffee and your hate for the sun. I love you and I promise to keep you happy for the rest of our lives.”

“Lex, you don’t have to tell me that-I already know you will. I love you too. And you look very handsome yourself. I even saw some stupid bimbos staring blatantly at your ass. I mean come on, it’s your fregin wedding day-do they have any respect for me or for you?”

Anything else Chloe was going to say was cut off by Lex’s lips, the end of the song and the clapping of the guests.

Soon after, the guests started joining the couple on the dance floor, sharing in the happiness and love. The cake was cut later and much to Chloe’s chagrin, Lex smeared the cake on her face, when he went to feed her a piece, even though the two came to an agreement that they wouldn’t take part in that tradition. Seeking her revenge, Chloe chased her husband around the hall and was able to catch him with the help of Lucas. She then straddled him and smeared her piece all over his mouth, sealing the act with a kiss and licking off some of the cake around his mouth, both laughing all the while.

As the party was coming to an end, Maria ushered Chloe to the balcony where she could throw off her bouquet and Lex could take of her garter and do the same. All the single women gathered in a crowd below the balcony, waiting for Chloe to throw over the pink lilies, as the men waited on the sidelines along with the married women. Pete and Jonathan Kent were smart enough to bring first aid kits, knowing just how vicious these things could get.

Taking her place on the balcony, Chloe called out, “Okay girls, get ready.” And with that she turned with her back to the balcony railing and threw the beautifully assembled lilies, silently wishing the receiver all the luck and happiness she was feeling.

Thinking the whole tradition stupid, Lois stood on the outskirts of the gathered women, mentally cursing Lana for making her stand there in the first place. What Lois didn’t count on though, was the bouquet that came flying her way. ‘Stupid reflexes,’ she thought, smiling all the while, as all eyes were on her.

Next, came Lex’s turn to throw Chloe’s blue garter, taking his sweet time, running his hands up and then down his wife’s bare leg, as the single men gathered below the balcony, taking the place of the single women.

Once the garter was thrown, it was no surprise that Clark was the one to catch the garter and as soon as he caught it, Chloe called out to the couple, “No pressure you guys,” winking to them.

Lex thought that the catching of the garter was a good place to end the night, at least for him and his wife, so he faced the guests, still on the balcony with Chloe by his side, and began, “Thank you so much you guys for coming to celebrate with us-we really appreciate it, but I would really like to take my wife to our penthouse and work on getting started on those grandchildren,” referring to Lionel and Gabe’s earlier request. “We’ll see you all in two weeks-thanks again and feel free to stay here longer.”

With that, the two made their way down the stairs and bid goodbye to all their friends and family, making it into the awaiting limo, which took them to the penthouse in Downtown Metropolis. As soon as they made their way into the elevator of the luxurious building, Lex was on Chloe, planting kisses all over her face and neck and voicing his love and desire. The kisses ended soon enough though, as the elevator doors opened and Lex swung Chloe into his arms, her arms around his neck and legs in his arms.

“Lex, what are you doing,” squealed Chloe in surprise.

“Come on Chlo, it’s tradition,” he responded.

“Well, you really don’t have to, you know.”

“No. Trust me, I do. I told Lana I would and knowing her, she will get the security feed to the building just to make sure I upheld all traditions. Besides, I really don’t mind-I’d hold you forever,” said Lex, reaching the door and pulling it open. “Welcome home Mrs. Luthor,” he continued, placing her on the floor, letting her take in her surroundings.

The living room resembled the penthouse the day Lex proposed to her, with candles and rose petals littered all around the room, champagne glasses and chocolate covered strawberries also waiting for them.

“It’s beautiful Lex. Thank you,” said Chloe, getting teary eyed and pulling her husband into a passionate embrace, leading him into the bedroom, which was also decorated in the same manor.

Laying in bed some time later, completely sated and glowing in the aftermath of lovemaking, Chloe moved to wrap the sheets around her and got out of bed, cutting of Lex’s protests that she get back in the bed beside him.

“One second Lex, I just have to get something from the closet,” she told him, making her way into the walk in closet, only to return with a wrapped package in her hands.

“Is that one of the wedding presents because you know we agreed to open them after we got back from the island,” said Lex, as his wife made her way back into their bed.

“No. It’s for you, from me,” she replied, holding out the gift to him.

“Chlo, in case you forgot, you already got me a gift,” responded Lex, still taking the gift from her.

“I know, but that was different. Open it,” she encouraged.

Once he opened the plain green wrapping paper, he saw another hard cover book, only this time, it was a padded mellow yellow color with cute animals adorning the cover, entitled ‘My Busy Days’. Lex looked over to Chloe and kissed her on the forehead and realizing the book was a baby book said, “Thanks Chlo. I have some really great shots of Brooke and this will be the perfect place to put them.”

Flabbergasted, Chloe could only respond, “Lex are you sure you’re a genius,” and with his dumbfounded look, she continued, “This isn’t for Brooke. Will you just please read the note inside?”

Opening the book, Lex found the small note that read, ‘Lex, Happy Belated Father’s Day. With all our love, Chlo and Baby Luthor.’

“Chlo, what is this,” he asked.

“Jeez, I thought you’d be able to figure it out, but I did tell you right after we had mind blowing sex, so maybe that has limited your thinking capabilities. Let me spell it out for you Lex-in eight months or so, you and I are going to be parents. I’m pregnant Lex,” she told him, waiting for his response, now second guessing herself, as she thought Lex would be happy, not confused.

“Are you serious? I mean, Lucas isn’t like using you to play some joke on me because I don’t think I could handle that and,” he began, only to be cut off by Chloe’s lips.

Pulling out of the kiss, she replied, “I’m serious and no one, not even Lucas, knows I’m pregnant-only you, so shut up and tell me you’re happy.”

“Oh Chlo. I’m beyond happy-thank you,” he said, pulling her into another kiss and down towards the bed.

The End Of My life: Luthor Heir Marries

By the time this makes the morning news, Lex and Chloe Luthor will already be on their way to their honeymoon in paradise. That’s right ladies and gentlemen-as of yesterday Lex Luthor and fiancée Chloe Sullivan are married. The two wed in a private, yet elaborate ceremony that took place at Metropolis’ very own St. Nicholas’ Church with the reception proceeding at Omni Colonnade later in the evening. I know in my last article I wrote that I had no details, but I was sworn to secrecy with the details and was only allowed to reveal the wedding plans after the couple was married and soon to be on their way to their tropical paradise.

Although I am saddened by the fact that Lex Luthor is no longer on the market, I am extremely happy for Chloe-she deserves a man as great as Lex.

Good luck to the both of you in your life together. I’ll most likely be there to interview and record the developments of your lives.

With regards,

Adam Fienne.

Louie: Thanks for the review! Your last comment had me laughing so hard! I actually live in New York, but what happened with the test was this: I am in honors English so we have the option of taking our regents (new york state test in random subjects) in January so when we did our second part got snowed out so I had to retake them with the regents kids (they take regular English). I’m glad you enjoyed the grave scene-I liked it too! And the wedding as well-glad you enjoyed it! Oh and I aced the ohysics class and got an 84 on the regents-not bad at all considering it was the only thing I studied for haha! Thanks for the kind words! xoxo, meeaz.

You're very welcome. I'll review until the cows come home if it means baby Luthors. Which reminds me.

You promised me a sequel :) Better get to work on that young lady or I will just have to.......do something equally bad as keeping a new meeaz story from me....believe you me I will think of something.

Anyway, so I read your note and am on my way now to review and read the other note over at ff.net.

Wonderful. Absolutely wonderful. Love the song, and if I remember right, I suggested it so that could be why...who knows with my wonderful memory.

Loved it and looking forward to the sequel :P

That was such an adorable, marvellous, cute, sweet, beautiful, lovely, romantic, fluffy, mushy, happy and gorgeous fic!!!!!! I loved it in case you can't tell!!!!!!

I definitely think there should be a sequel. I think Lex acting neurotic throughout Chloe's pregnancy would be excellent and we have to know if baby Luthor is a boy or a girl.
