Hey everybody…

I’m sorry I’m so lazy in the Updated-department, but somehow it ain’t my fault. Because of personal things I lost the will and love for writing a fanfic. Even about Chlex, can you believe it?!

So again I apologize and promise as soon as I found my muse and the rest of the rest off me  , I’ll continue my fanfics!!

But before I go away, just one more fic I got to write. I hope you guys like it.

A/N: I first wrote it in Dutch, but translated it… It’s not beta-ed, so just tell me if something is written wrong. It’s basted on two songs off the Dutch band BlØf.

Romance

What will Lex do, when Chloe leaves him?

My Last Devotion

Lex looked threw his window, sighed and turned around. Facing him was hard, every time again, but those things had to be done. Especially now.

“What’s it now, Clark?” He let a hand travel down his bald scalp, closed his eyes at his harsh tone.

“No need to be so hostile Lex, just because I’m marring Chloe doesn’t mean I won’t be your best friend no more.” The boy, yes boy, answered. What a moron. If he only knew…If he only knew…

“Of course, forgive me.” A flash of blond locks where seen clearly. Chloe blushed slightly as Lex smiled warmly at her and let his eyes travel her beautiful body. Even if she was a layer now, Lex still loved to read her reports. The words chosen carefully and ambition sparked from them. All her time and effort where put in those simple but perfect words, showing how good she was in defending and even winning a hopeless cause.

But even if Lex wished to continue drooling over her, Clark’s voice was interrupting, bring him back into the presents.

“I’m so happy you two are hitting it off so well!” Chloe grimaced as a strong arm wrapped itself over her shoulder like a snake trying to strangle a small mouse. She felt trapped and nobody would help her. Or maybe…Just maybe he would…
Would you Lex?
Please? Hear my pray Lex, hear them, I beg you.

She shuttered under his gaze. His blue eyes and strong body language made her moan if she didn’t watch herself. Yep, they were hitting it off just fine. To fine, Clark, way to fine.

It all started when she first left for her big opportunity. She had to go out there, into the big world to show herself worthy for her boss. Clark had called him and told him about it thinking he was the big shot with the latest news. But Lex already knew. Chloe had told him the night before at the Talon when she was making her last peace of art for the Daly Planet.

If Clark hadn’t asked him to escort Chloe to the airport and see she would get on the plane on time, then he wouldn’t be sitting here the way he was right now. Shifting in his chair, hoping that he could keep his calm.

“A Promise Is A Promise, Luther.”

That was the way her first cart from Rome started. It had made him chuckle after he was over the shock to find she hadn’t forgot her promise to him. To keep in touch.

The second cart was seven day after the first and he had waited for it with passion. He always wrote back, the yellow paper and dark red inc terrorizing her into a squeal of joy. She had laughed at his reviews and they even started to e-mail. She found it a better solution for their situation. ‘This way is easier for me to collect the wittiness form Smallville’ he quotes.
As time pasts he even started to help her with her close-ups but mostly he just had to suggest and she would take over.

He was her muse and visa versa.

They went out for drinks and everything but that didn’t change the fact that she was close to the edge. Ready to tumble down.
She was going to marry Clark Kent.

He had reacted bitterly as she told him.
The contact had ended that day and never saw they each other again. Until that one day...

~*~*~

What would she do if he suddenly would re-appear in her life? Or better, what would he do? From what he had heard, she was the one how insisted on having him there, right next to her father, sitting on the bench, watching her walk down the aisle.

“I miss you.”
The letter from London seed and was closed with a kiss.

From Prague he had reserved a bell for Chita, his red-brownish haired cat that would jump on her lap if she again would decorate one of the many rooms in the mansion.

The letters he had read and read again. Against his will he had seen himself getting up, feeding Chita and walking out of his apartment. He was greeted by an envious Lana Lang, still a pink ranger, and a badly humoured Peter Ross.

She had seen him walk in and her hart had stopped. Lois had asked what was wrong, but she just shock her head and tried to convince herself that the past was the past and nothing else.
But soon she was proven wrong.

What would she do?
If he suddenly would be there, falling on the hard ground in front of her.
Would she laugh, or would she ‘use abusive language’ as Clark called it?
Or would she tell him he was a son of a bitch?
Maybe she would cry or swear o so loudly?
Would she tell him she didn’t know him anymore and ask him to leave?
And this all out of the pain and sorrow they shared?

How would she react if he told him that even after all those years, he didn’t regret their friendship and even those nights they shared together?

What would she do if he would take her face in his hands, bringing his lips o so close to his? Would she push him away, or go for the kill?

Would she swear, curse, cry, laugh or call him names? What would she do?

~*~*~

She looked so beautiful in his eyes and any others. Her long white dress and short golden hair. He just wanted to hold her, please her, take her away from Kent and keep her for himself. And if she wouldn’t agree, maybe some time locked up in a tower would help ease her mind. He chuckled at the idea. If he would look up to the tower window, she would spit on him or give him the finger. Nope, locking Sullivan up was no option but she wasn’t happy about any of this.

She saw him in the frame of her door. The tears welling up as she threw herself in his strong but gentle arms. The bruises from Clark’s grip had pained her but the soft touch that belonged to Lex Luther had always eased the pain somehow.

“What are you chuckling about?” Was that her voice? Cracked up and broken?

“I was thinking about kidnapping you and then lock you up in my east tower. But if I would look up to your window, you would probably spit on me or give me the finger.” When she laughed softly and blushed, he took a step forward, making their bodies brush against each other.

Clark had cried as Chloe had ripped her dress of her petit body right in front of Lex. His mouth had opened but closed as she had slammed mouth on Lex’s, brake the contact and grabbing her stuff.

Lex had opened his cell phone and called somebody, greeted the man and passed it over to Chloe how was wrestling with her bra. As she took the phone, Lex took his place behind her and closed the bra, took a t-shirt, pulled it over her head and closed her jeans.

Tossing the black mobile back to the owner, Chloe grabbed a bag and Luther’s hand and let him guide her to his car.

And that was the last thing anybody ever saw from the couple.

The End.
